  • Slash President !

  • i love joe perry!!!!

  • overrated

  • No one's cooler than Slash.

  • Comment removed

  • what makes

  • i love him, he is pure feeling

  • Did he mention Elliot Easton of the Cars?

  • i love 4 songs on that punk rekkid they did.

  • Slash is exceptional among modern guitarist for having an eccentric style, but with much feeling. Les Paul told him in person..."You play pretty good, when you try." That pretty much sums it up.

  • slash's technique is very bluesy... watch a video of BB King and you will see the same approach to the left hand

  • dislikers r simply mother fuckerz!!

  • What a lovely background: leather sofa, and a wall of Jcms and les paul's - My dream room :D

  • he's sitting in front of 300 watts of marshall's with no guitar cord....

  • @1skullduggery rich people have cordless leads

  • he's cool, too. not afraid or unwilling to jam with ANYONE who requests his talents for a track on a record or something like that.

  • pure crap.slash is way way overrated

  • Is it just me or does he look like ozzy osbourne with those glasses

  • @snookermad1 not at all

  • @snookermad1 yes, its just you

  • why dont play ?

  • Slash = Best Guitar Player

  • I had never thought about that feeling that he gets when playing with 3 fringers, and it kind of makes sense

  • my inspiration

  • If he was more of a schooled player and really knew his music theory, he might be able to hang with the jazz fusion crowd, but he's more about the feel and melody, which I guess works okay for other styles of music. He does have solid tone, I'll give him that.

  • God, hearing him talk....orgasm. Slash is amazingly talented...hearing him talk about music is beautiful : )

  • @ouija93 please dont compare satriani with slash...

  • Wall behind him.

Les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul Les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul les Paul,

Marshall Marshall Marshall Marshall Marshall Marshall Marshall.

  • @ibanezplayer76 I want. Hahahhaa

  • Slash on style... "Well, I know nothing about notes, chords, scales or theories. I cant tell you the names of the strings, nor can I play anything that doesnt involve a wah pedal". Slash on popularity...." Let's see, I grew this curly, grungy hair, and I put on a top hat, I wear sunglasses and never look up." Yeah, I'm a real guitar god." Thanks Slash, your an inspiration to all guitar hero players everywhere on xbox.

  • @zakksucksdick ... I think you're talking about Kirk Hammett on that Wah pedal part :D

  • @zakksucksdick whats your problem, your mom tell you shes not gay enough for you

  • @monkeybutlers1234 You really make no sense. I think your helmet is on too tight.

  • Slash : "my style? jimmy page basically copy"

  • I think you got two types of vibrato in rock

    1. The Slash/Hammett rapid, small and tight "the bee"

    2. The Zakk style wide wailing screaming harmonic over the top "the 80's scream"

  • @PIlotrcm 3. The David Gilmour slow, emotional vibrato, similar to that of a classical guitarist.

  • He's very honest and insightful. I wish there were more videos like this of other musician's on the same level as him. This is a great video.

  • definitely my favorite rock guitarist! it's funny to hear him say he cant play jazz. I dig slash but, IMO, the pinnacle of musicianship lies among jazz musicians. I'm learning jazz but some things just come naturally to certain people. Wes Montgomery (best jazz guitarist EVER) probably couldnt rip some of slash's stuff on appetite. Go with what God put in ya and let it rip!!

  • but slash isnt real!!

  • ok, here is a little fact that u cant deny! Guitar players like Slash, Hetfield, and all others u underestimate dont have flashlight solos, 123 notes per second and other stuff, but they write BETTER music then Satriani, Steve Vai, Malmsteen, Batio, Paul Gilbert etc who r so called "virtuosoes". Slash uses focuses on songwriting, thing that REALY MATTERS in music. U have to admit that no one likes Instrumental music as much as REAL music. Those instrumental guitarists are just showing off...

  • @ouija93 and Slash has kick ass, beautifull solos that Satriani, Vai, Gilbert and other "tallented" guitarists cant make... for example November rain and Estranged!

  • all those players he described (Clapton, Perry, Page, Walsh) come from the style in which he plays himself. So when people compare him to Satriani, Vai, or Malmsteen it's kind of ridiculous because those guys come from a different style. It's like comparing a fruit to a vegetable

  • @Deltarogers your right malmsteen is a fruit

  • @Deltarogers

But fruits taste way better than vegetables amiright guys?

  • @Deltarogers

Totaly true, He's not really a technical shredder. He's more of just a meat and potatoes blues licks guy

  • @Deltarogers What about the tomato?

  • @Deltarogers yeah thats true

  • @Deltarogers Satriani, Vai, and Malmsteen all started as blues guys.

  • @qwertyuiop46853 i used to think guys like that didn't really have the feel needed to play blues. like they were almost too technical to play that style which isn't necessarily difficult, but requires a real personal kind of improv and style that sets you apart from others. but after hearing malmsteen burn the fretboard down while stayimg pretty tight to the blues scales, my whole opinion on players like that has changed. paul gilbert also comes to mind. a real feel for blues, but more evolved.

  • @1skullduggery There is a huge misconception about players with good technique, people seem to think there is no feeling behind their music. Paul Gilbert is a very favorite musician of mine, his latest album Fuzz Universe is truly a masterpiece.

  • @Deltarogers I like your comparison between a fruit with a vegetable its so true.Lol! You cannot compare the type of guitar player Slash is to someone like Satriani or Malmsteen they are worlds apart. Slash isn't a shredder like those guys but he surely does a great job in the realm that he works in that's what makes him a rock n roll icon.

  • @rafael080809 agreed. Slash is very good at writing riffs and catchy solo's and his timing for both is impeccable, and he plays from the heart. Being able to shred at light speed or pinch harminic every other note does not make you a good guitar player.....Jimmy Page once said that David Gilmour (from Pink Floyd) could do more with one note than most could with a 1000 notes,

  • you won't be recognized when you take off the hat and wig.hahaha!...love you Slash.

  • Nice hat,but the KFC bucket is still better.

  • Got damn it man....even that thing at 1:59 was cool to me.....there is just no limit to this guys awesomeness....

  • On the like/dislike bar 3 people like justin bieber.... °__°

  • @Ypatzi30 Sick of shit comments like these! Thanks captain obvious

  • MARSHALL POOOOWAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

  • Even his voice is badass :/ lol

  • No matter where he is, Slash cannot resist saying "fuck".

  • Slash's music is straight from his soul to our ears

  • yeeeaaaaah alright!

  • slash looks really cool in black n white

  • when this dude plays fast, i get goosebumps, especially when he improvises

  • when i can play the guitar like slash i´ll have money to buy a les paul XD

  • I think that Slash style is strongly influenced by southern rock bands like Allman brothers and Lynard Skynard

  • @Val68505 it is

  • @Val68505 Axl's the guy who would have been strongly influenced by the bands you mentioned. He used Freebird as a reference when writing/recording Sweet Child o' Mine. Slashes main influences were Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Mick Taylor, Michael Schenker, Rory Gallagher, Fast Eddie, Brian Robertson, and the other names that he mentioned in this video. Not just his playing but his look, his attitude and the way he dresses, cut's his hair. In this respect Perry, Robbo and The Ramones.

  • @nkmcfrln Slash idolised Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page the most.. I don't see much similarity between the way Joe Perry and Slash play

  • @Mordor6121512 I'm generalizing about everything I said. Being 100% specific would take up a lot more space and I don't know everything that there is to know about Slash's personal taste. I said the Joe Perry influence had more to do with his image, his attitude, the way he dresses and cuts his hair, but it's a hell of a lot more than that. Brad Whitford was definitely a big influence on his playing and Aerosmith was probably Guns N' Roses biggest influence as a whole.

  • wow, even pros have trouble with jazz

  • Slash style was refreshing in an era of tappers and shredders

  • the thing about the 3 fingers thing is that ur ring finger is stronger and is better to bend with than ur pinky. at least for me

  • I love this guitar,i don´t have a money to buy a les paul ::(

  • @gabrielmoko Agile guitars on Rondo Music are the Cheapest version of a real Les Paul they range from 199 dollars to 500 dollars...they also have more types of guitar for a dirt cheap price...but they sound AMAZING! I have two of them and i would go and buy a thousand if i could...again search Rondo Music on goggle and youl find the site..hope this helped!

  • @yugijan2196 yes but i´m from chileXD,thanks

  • @gabrielmoko me 2

  • @gabrielmoko me 2

  • The best solos of Slash are on the album Use Your Illusion 1... No doubt about it.

  • i had troublr deciding between these and aviators i went with aviators but i plan on getting these next thehy're just fucking classic :)

  • Slash his the guy i would like to ''jamming'' with. He's so fucking great!!! Ok Slash call me when you'll be ready :P

  • As much as I love Slash; he looks like an ass in those glasses :P

  • @PuddleOfMudd25 why does he wear those glasses

  • whats intonation? im new to this guitar stuff

  • @RobDZeppelin Intonation is about the tune of higher frets after 12th fret. If you tune a string to "E", you expect the 12th fret to be "E" also, right? Sometimes it's not :) It's about neck angle, string gauge etc. You have to set it with saddles in Fender type guitars, dont know how it's done in gibson kinda bridges.

  • slash was always a great guitarist but today he is a serious capitalist -.-

    i like him anyway :)

  • As I learn to play I can totally understand what he is saying about the 3 finger technique.

  • I wonder what style slash plays to. I look everywher, but the dvds only tell the already made playing, not the style or what scale he uses. Either way slash is the best guitarist of all time and his playing is unique since it really touches people inside.

  • @mulakai1532studios seems like you don't know shit about guitar playing

pentatonic scale and blues scale which are almost the same

    and off you go.

    almost everything slash does

  • @dnnysrock I already knew how slash plys I was just saying that the dvds don't tell you much. Information for people that are going to buy the dvds.

  • @mulakai1532studios yeahh right

  • @dnnysrock Its true i've always known. At least I know how to appreciate good music.

  • whats ?bybrodo? or wtf he said**?? tell me someone

  • @MrHardRocker4Ever

    is vibrato

  • next week slash comes to austria(the country i live in)!! to an annual rock festival.. and i've got vip-tickets! damn that's so amazing..

  • When he said "intonation" is as importent has staying in tune: thers Kirk Hammetts problem!

  • @litlemadguitarist - Yeah, dude. Kirk has AWFUL intonation. You can hear it in the live solos and just cringe.

  • what is the "kind of vibrato that he doesnt like" ? is it just an over exaggerated one?

  • @Kickstart187 Its Kirk Hammetts and Malmsteens

  • @Kickstart187 that's a good question ... I thought the same ... he never mentioned what kind of vibrato he doesn't like. I agree with you ... i think he means more exagerated vibratos ... and if you listen to the guy playing, he always uses quick brivatos, subtle ones, which are part of his particular style ... This guy is awesome ... unique sound and style, a very important aspect of guitar playing!

  • Slash is amazing, im sure hes the reason most of us play guitar 2day. I want 2 study his techniques...anyone got any tips or know where i can obtain such info?(:

  • slash is so fukin cool anytime i see him playin guitar it makes me go up and grab mine

  • slash is just great .. no doubt

  • Anybody know whats he wears on his right wrist? A lot of celebs used it for some health benefit.

  • slash is fucking amazing he is one of the main reasons that I play guitar thank you slash keep kicking ass

  • i second that shit man! hes definitely one of my many guitar heroes

  • What a cool muthaf@#cker~!

  • Yeah I agree with slash I love the 3 finger technique!

  • "...and guns n roses used to fuck around with it." xD

  • slash is amazing because he doesnt swee... he can make all of these amazing solos without sweeping.... god thats beast

  • He did shit w/ Ray Charles?!?!?!

    What was it???

I'd love to hear some of those sessions.

  • yeah. 2 songs called "god bless america" and "baby let me hold your hand"

    It's VERY cool

  • Slash got a unique style in the world

  • I´m a metal dude all the way but I still like Slash

  • @Snide666 one day you'll grow up and listen to other things

  • This Channel should get more views!!!
