  • Thumbs up for Cameron Newton Hiesmen Trophy Winner

  • they should be playin him instead of kitna

  • @MultiYungsta Why would you play someone new to the game where you have a veteran who has done better than our starting QB? He looks good, but by far not better than Kitna. As a die hard Cowboys fan I think you owe me an apology. haha jk, But we're going to do him like we did Romo. Let him learn the offense, let him learn the mechanics and play calling. Get him seasoned a little before we bring him in as the starter. Give him till the 2012-2013 season to get in the game.

  • @1Mastermind1990 i put that comment up when the cowboys were on a losing streak before i knew what he was capable of doing.... i jus thought that they should try something knew to see if he were any good

  • I wish he was 2 inches taller.

  • you know, as a QB with a 4.66, he should think about switching to TE!

  • @chalmer2wade maybe?! but for dallas they could use a fast QB. tony romo can move but mcgee can move but much faster

  • @chalmer2wade that is a horrible idea. I'm 6'2", 220lbs and run a 4.68, McGee is 220 at 6'3". It is always an advantage to be tall as you can see over your line and can properly estimate where you're going with the ball. You have better angle and better sense of adjustment. I wish I could throw like him, after about 40 yards I'm as accurate as a old lady pitching in the MLB who is blind and armless. It is a great combination, he would do more damage to any opposing team at QB more than TE.

  • Stephen is the nicest guy you can meet. His transition from McNeal's shadow was short. He held his own very well. His coolness and smart thinking on the field always showed strong. i think Dallas made a great choice

  • I Have A #9 Dixon A&M Jersey With His And Jerrod Johnson's Autograph On It

  • McGee and Shipley went to my high schools biggest rival. As a matter of fact, they broke the records on US. Llano. But it was actually a little fun to watch. I wont forget. As I wont forget Brad Kassell either.

  • Did anyone else notice that McGee is wearing number 12 in this video? I wonder if he chose that number for these workouts. For good luck maybe?

(If you don't know why that means anything, then you don't know anything about a&m)

  • Ha ha that's a good thought I bet it is

  • To thewooytons- It's been proven that the hotshots on the college gridiron don't always pan out on the Pro. Gridiron. Classic example- Vince Young. Vince burned up the gridiron at Texas. However, when he went to the Pros. it was a different story. In the pros he encountered the Best offensive players in the country. The pro Defense was just as fast or faster than Vince. This frustrated Vince so much that he wanted to quit in frustration. Steve McGee is a GreenHorn. Don't Crown him just yet!

  • this guy is amazing/

  • i saw this guy at cinemark in college station

  • The Dallas Cowboys really need a Quarteback. Tony Romo just doesen't have the fire in the belly that's needed to go to the "Super Bowl" and win. Jerry Jones should be looking at Michael Vick. Yes he's a dog killer. However, if he haden't messed up he probably would've taken his team to the "Super Bowl" and won. Tony Romo's gonna fumble and drop the ball all season. He doesen't have T.O. or anyone else to blame but himself. Jerry Jones needs a real Quarterback!

  • Your an idiot!

  • to thewoolytons- Just hide and watch. Tony Romo will start out like the real deal. But, halfway through the season he'll start shitting in his pants,AGAIN! He'll Fumble the ball, trip on his own feet and throw enough interceptions to lose the game. Only a seasoned backup quarterback, the likes of Michael Vick , can help the Cowboys go to the Superbowl. Tony Romo will never do it! Steve McGee is a greenhorn. He's years away from being a seasoned Quarterback. Wait 10 yrs. Ha,Ha,Ha/

  • To the woolytoons- What's with this Guy Steve McGee? He's only a part-time college back-up quarterback. The Pro leagues are full of greenhorns. The difference makers have always been the veteran QB'S. Anyone who thinks that a greenhorn college QB can make a real difference in the Pros is a complete Idiot!!!

  • All You mutha fuckas talkin shit about my boy steve can shut the fuck up singas how I was on the same field and team as him and my boy Jordan and if you stupid muthafuckaz new anything then you'd know he didn't just throw to Jordan he was also throwing to ME and Patrick Miller we didn't go to state twice because of one guy so just know that it took the talents of both steve and jordan dont beleive me? Lets see you throw one to J when hes runnin full speed pussy!!!!

  • that doesn't make any sense. if he got recruited only because he threw to shipley in HIGH SCHOOL, then harrell should have been a 1st rounder since he threw to crabtree. and if you're using that logic, let's switch it around and ask where quan cosby was in the draft. he produced very well and caught numerous balls from a heisman candidate. mcgee's a good guy and a tremendous leader. don't ever count a guy out.

  • Harrell put up gaudy numbers, but did so in a spread offense; a "system" that does not translate well in the NFL. Harrell never took snaps from under center, never learned a 1-3-5-7 step dropback sequence, and most of his throws were well under 10 years to a wide-open receiver in a spot in the zone. The offense is designed to flood, mesh and rub a zone and combo of man-under. NFL defenses are too fast for the spread to work, or else you'd still see the run-and-shoot teams of the late 80s.

  • 10 yards, that is, not 10 years. McGee benefits from having Mike Sherman as his coach his senior year, along with QB coach Tom Rossley. Sherman has 10 years of NFL coaching experience as a position coach, offensive coordinator and head coach. Sherman KNOWS what the NFL needs, so when he recommends a player, the NFL scouts and coaches listen. He has A LOT of credibility.

Harrell is one of many Tech QBs that have put up big #s, but NONE have made the NFL. There's a reason for it.

  • Harrell is overrated.

    Justice served.

  • Nothing against Mcgee, but in terms of the Big 12, how did QB Graham Harrell of Texas Tech get undrafted and Mcgee get picked up serving as a backup his last season? His numbers are crazy! Sounds odd to me..

  • There is nothing odd about. Uncommon, yes, but not odd. He didn't get drafted because of his weak arm and the lack of success from the QB's that have come from similar systems.

Now, I'm not saying that Harrell wasn't a good QB. He was a hell of a QB in that system. He commanded the field and managed the offense very well. But honestly, nobody would even care if the Tech DEFENSE hadn't won 3 or 4 games. That gave him the national recognition when they were going 11-1 instead of their usual 8-4.

  • I ran out of room in the previous post.

What I'm saying is Harrell would just have been another Kingsbury, Symons, etc if they had the 7 or 8 win season that they usually have and nobody would have expected him to get drafted. The 11 win season which was a product of a much improved defense, a decent running game, and Crabtree is what gave him the publicity he received.

Any other year, a McGee type QB in the 4th round and a Tech QB not getting drafted would be normal. It doesn't happen often.

  • To me he's got Romo-like skills with more foot speed. Hope the Boys give him a real chance. Truly think he could be a starter in a few years. Where was Brady in the draft!

  • McGee is going to do fine in the NFL A&M just had a bad offense for him to run. He has been a pro style QB sense high school... thats it and thats all

  • yeah im glad he's on with the boys lol but i dont see him getting much playing time unless romo gets hurt or until he retires and thats just how it is. but hey, i'd love to follow in Romo's footsteps and learn from one of the best

  • go cowboys!!

  • WELCOME 2 DALLAS STEPHEN MCGEE..Even If I Dont Like A&M

    Texas Longhorns are #1

  • he is a dallas cowboys now

  • Gig 'em, Stephen! We love you here in Aggieland and realize that the only reason you didn't have a better season was because of that pathetic excuse for a coach, Fran. So glad that guy is gone and you're on your way to play with the big boys! Best of luck!

    -Aggie student, class of 2010

  • He will go no later than mid 3rd. Could go as high as round 2. QBs tend to ascend the closer you get to draft day.

  • He'll be a nice steal in the draft. Likely to be a 7th round pick due to his lack of playing time in recent seasons. Kid has a lot of potential in the NFL.

  • More like a 4th or 5th rounder

  • dats muh dawg righ' thur. Dun tell muh J. J is betta. Dis clip is da prooof.

  • thats my dowg right there. Dont tell me J. Johnson is better. This video proves it
