Looks like Ernie arrived at a rare time when things were calm in the Miami Mice office. No stamping monsters, low flying airplanes, stampedes or anything like that. And thank God, because considering how uptight he already was, he probably would have fainted in terror if he encountered one of those.
I wish the Mice had spoofed versions of the Miami Vice dudes names instead, like "Sprokett & Stubbs" or "Crackle & Schlub". But then again, they needed Latino Mice who spoke Spanish, hence "Tito", etc.
That was awesome! I definitely remember this one too- you can tell they were totally ragging on Miami Vice :-) And I love when Ernie's explaining what happened to Rubber Duckie- when he was waking Bert with the squeaking and well- you don't want to hear what happened! LOL :-)
wow I've learned a new spanish word! lol I wonder what Bert did to Rubber Duckie... coz Bert is evil, right? ^^ (... no that's not true, I love Bert!)
I haven't seen this since the 80's, and had forgotten all about it, but now I'm sitting here mouthing the dialogue! This is definitely an 80's Baby's Sesame Street...
I'm 20 years old, and I haven't seen this since I was like 2! For years I had very vauge memories of two green and purple mice that wore sunglasses and drove a convertibe. I was begining to think that maybe I had imagined the whole thing.
Well, MGHSHour2, the other Miami Mice episode had the Count in it, wanting to count something exciting. So, the Miami Mice took him to visit a space center, to watch the countdown of a rocket taking off.
I agree with MuppetPro. Could you please upload the one with Kermit, and the other one with the Count? I would love it so much, and this is a request. The Miami Mice skits are awsome!
Tito is awesome! I've never ssen Miami Mice either."We demand the release of the ducky!" Ernie reminds me of myself-as I too get extremely anxious like that!
This coming July, there'll be be a DVD release called "The Best of Sesame Spoofs", which will include Miami Mice. Cool, eh?

The Miami Mice were a real neat additon to Sesame Street and they provided Kevin Clash and Martin P. Robinson with another pair to share.
I'd love to see the one with the Count. I don't remember seeing it as a kid ever.

I just thought of this: You know what would've made a good Miami Mice skit? One that had Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas in it.

And Edward James Olmos.

What was Ernie doing in Miami anyway?
samsticka 5 years ago
Well, I don't think they ever say where Sesame Street is, it could very well be in Miami for all we know.

It's in New York.

Miami Vice always had tons of celebrity cameos, so Ernie would have fitted right in.
