  • Thank you! Stay tuned - we are working to bring you our complete Weekend Intensive Top Bar Beekeeping 101 class online or on DVD soon!

  • Excellent video - thanks! I like your style of explaining things.

  • Bees do most everything based on smell or pheromone. Beeswax helps to make it smell like home, and lemon grass essential oil supposedly mimics other smells that bees appreciate.

Beekeeping in top bar hives is our business, so perhaps you can forgive the use of the company logo and signage! At least it's not a pop-up window! LOL.

  • I really like this video, but I was a bit uncomfortable by how it was recorded. Too much ouside noise and the sign in the front right of the picture were pretty annoying. Good info though. I did not know that bees cared what a new home would "smell" like.

  • Hi, it's Jeff here. Greetings from downunder. One thing that really would help people is if they can join a bee-keeping club & try to get a hold of a frame of brood & honey. That would really hold the bees plus give the bees some honey to help them generate some heat. A good idea would be if some of the top bars had sides & bottom for this purpose. Anyway good luck with it all. Take care. cheers for now.
