    mate, when you actually own a car and you know your engine, in this case an rb30et, you know when it hits boost, when it has a sweet spot, when the cam works and when to shift. If you constantly look at the tacho, then your a dumb fuck, unless youve owned the car for 3 days

    being an rb30et, 5K rev is fuck all depending what cams and head work he has, you need it that high or else it wont make boost and no dose, being a manual without load in neutral

  • being an rb30 they blow at 7k mate i own a calais turbo and 5-6k is max on most thats with a gt35/40 on 220rwk and my highest rev is 6000ish

    220 rwkw is pretty soft from a 35/40.. what size rear you running and what boost? my old bt1 with forged bottom end and t04z would rev at 6800 all day happy.. through a jatco 4 spd..4500 converter, made 450.24 rwhp (336rwkw).. opened the engine up after 18 months of flogging and only one rocker arm broke in that time..

  • the turbo on mine is just the stock gt35/40 not sure on the house size as i got it with the car its ran an 11 on 220rwk so i wouldnt really call it soft as its an all day street car ect its on 13psi for the 220 and iv been told if i up the injectors - cam - and the waste gate it will pass 300 witch is inaff for 10s + retune of course

  • 11psi is fairly low boost.. if you can get a fuel system to flow more 300 should be with ease.. u running a manualised auto?

  • Yeah just a stage 3 shift kitted vlt box thats been rebuilt ect with a T bar shifter

  • depends in witch way your talking about 5k rev is pretty high -6k is around the highest id ever let a vlt get to unless its had Heaps of head work (like twin cam ect )
