i know. he's hilarious. i think they were hesitant about laughing since he was making political jokes in front of the president. i bet if they were at home and watching, they would have been laughing hysterically.
poor craig. he must have felt really uncomfortable about the cold reception. Anyway being a civil servant doesn't mean you have to be snobby and stuff! Disgusting people
Tough: Pressure to be better than Rich, less scathing than Colbert, respectful yet humourous in front of an intimidating crowd. Apart from the swearing, cartoon elements and the forced jibes at times IMO he did extremely well. As a fellow Scot it was entirely right that he paid respect to the American people by calling Bush et al sir and equally right that he teased them as opposed to destroying them. I thought the crowd were wilfully ungenerous but their true feelings came out at the end.
he actually did pretty well, he got chuckles and laughs, some other comics that did that room didnt even get a giggle

I love how president Bush is laughing as well. Hey, he may be a dumbass, but he's polite as hell and has a good sense of humour.
idratheryoubedead 3 years ago 5
Yeah, Bush actually had a good, real laugh at quite a few of the jokes, which was great.

he wasnt relaxed like in his show
because of crowd here,
coz he must watch what he says...
he was really nervouse
meda982 3 years ago 8
The crowd is obviously not so prepared with his natural sense of humor.
He has the greatest jokes ever.
Never seen Letterman or whatever the other late show comedians be invited to talk in Whitehouse.

I'm a Ferguson fan and I thought this stunk. This is not late night. I'm quite disappointed. There should have been some higher class humor here.
Jdeman 3 years ago
Take notice of the crowd, they simply aren't equip with a sense of humor, thus rendering them not an ideal crowd.
