  • i wonder what they call this song when they play live.... this next song is called Forward slash YEAHH

  • @KillerPanda420420 idiot....thats the divided by symbol....so no the song will be called Divided By....i can tell you only took simple first grade math

  • @CSquared092 it means more then one thing dumbass, hurr durr i think i know everything, im in calculus A/B retard

  • Holy hell, this is incredible.

  • It's funny, if you listen to the lyrics of most of their songs, they say they don't care what people think and haters will never effect them or ruin their music. and yet, you people still talk shit about them.................................

  • Music started out as clean vocals, not screams, so why is everyone butthurt that bands keep using clean vocals more now? They pull it off just fine, so fuck off honestly

  • @W1LD5N0RL4X Music also started out with a Banjo but country sucks mad dick.

  • you see those After the Burial and Born Of Osiris albums right there? Yea... SEXY!!!

  • dunno why but this is one of my favorite songs on the album

  • good luck CHAMP..go break your fucking leg

  • @broomybroomybroomy I'm confused. If it was that bad of a song to you, why did you waste all that time listening to it? And on top of that why did you waste more of your time making such an immature comment? Now not only have you wasted your time, but you have lost a lot of your reputation, if you had any. Sounds like this song was so awesome you just lost all that is important to a real man, his time and reputation.

  • 18 people can't divide by anything

  • Breakdown.

  • This song was so gay that a bunch of muscled sailors burst into my room and started blowing each other to the music.

  • @broomybroomybroomy Sounds pretty cool. This song was so good that I liked it. Don't be a troll.

  • @broomybroomybroomy yeah soft songs are gay, bring back the manly breakdowns.

  • @broomybroomybroomy i like this song but thats funny as fuck

  • @bobthesuperbadass92 Glad someone here has a sense of humor! I accidentally got here from the Faceless.

  • @broomybroomybroomy the faceless is sick

  • @broomybroomybroomy You're the one with that fucking awful fantasy.

  • such a beautiful album. they did such an amazing job.

  • Let's count out all the cleans in this album:

    Hydroplaning - Last verse

    In Pursuit of - A gracious verse/bridge

    Paralyzed - the chorus

    Intent - Last verse

    Clockwork - The chorus

/ - nearly the entire song.

Averaged out that isn't even 60% worth. Because besides this song, the rest are very short sections worth it. Also, why does it matter? If they are good cleans, meaningful lyrics, and oh wait...THEY CAN ACTUALLY SING. Considering 90% of the bands in this industry use auto-tune. -_-

  • @pillsbury493 90% of metal bands use autotune? lol what a rectum derived statistic that was

  • @MoosieCoverz I'm going to make the assumption that bands that claim to be "hardcore" , and implement cleans, use auto-tune. Even though this band is far from traditional hardcore, and more so a collaboration of progressive metal/hardcore/djent.

  • @pillsbury493

yeah they can sing in the studio but live they suck...

  • @pillsbury493 your an Idiot. Go Look Up Taking Back Sunday or Alkaline Trio

  • @LoveSkilar you're*

    Also, please elaborate?

  • The breakdown is brutal as fuck.

  • @P3iiL yeah they had it for sale at their stand when i saw them at a show :)

  • a djent to remember. not really though.

  • gtfo breadedhat

  • @mazaris94 i think it was a compliment he was trying to give there, dick. learn how to read.

  • wow was gonna say what happened to structures lol O.o went from like death metal to pop then 2:05 rolled around

  • this cd sounds terrible. the music is good... just not the quality. insurrection from molotov solution sounds 10000terrible times better and they recorded at the same studio. i dont get how this is so bad and insurrection is totally amazing.

  • @imBflo Someone doesn't own a CD or know how to download a decent bitrate MP3. There is nothing wrong with the quality of this album lol. Are you sure you have a good download or a legit CD if you own it?

  • Good at making pop punk, good at making metalcore.

  • To all people bitching about this song, i have one thing to say: Shut up, we still don't give a fuck. no one ever did. We've grown so sick of it. What have you done with your life? Still can't contend with this. Good luck champ, go break a fucking leg.

  • '@backburner123 I still think the band Substructures is better than Structures. Don't get me wrong their EP was awesome. But their new album "I" think is kind of shitty. Check out some of Substructures jams.-----> watch?v=a0iZmMleoLk

  • @falconpunch92 keeping in mind Substructure and Structures write completely different music which makes them pretty hard to compare. They both write amazing music. :)

  • @backburner123 best breadown ever created in the history of ever

  • how ridiculous are most of you to critisize this song. this entire album is incredible, one of the most progressive bands out there, adding dynamic and different elements to their music and people complain. ignorant teenagers. up there with animals as leaders weightless and born of osiris discovery, well done

  • @MelunNation it's because most of these hardcore-kid twatwaffles don't know jackfuck about music, therefore they can't appreciate a band that's doing something different and technical. oh well, their loss.

  • @MelunNation definitely as fuck not comparable with the discovery, and really not up there with weightless either

  • @MelunNation

Don't put weightless to high regards, the self titled album was MUCH better.

  • All of you fucks wasting your time deciding what type of genre this song is. Listen & shut the hell up.

  • Owl City at 1:24?

  • Multi influenced what's wrong here?

  • Comment removed

  • all of the above was better than divided by, but divided by was still a really good album. just it had a lot of shitty more-mainstream elements in the writing that watered down the old-style goodness that made aota so sick

  • @TRAmPLdUNdRfOoT It's nothing to do with "mainstream". They love, are influenced by, and grew up on pop-punk and they enjoy including it in their tracks. And it works. People complain about the cleans, I genuinely don't get it.

  • @steviethesoundguy i disagree; this shows no influences of pop punk - just because its catchy and clean doesnt make it pop punk, or alt rock or any other genres that have those characteristics. just the style here sounds more akin to the wave of shitty metal-influenced post-hardcore bands, who also juxtaposes that singing style w/ screaming. given, structures is much better than them, but this moves away from the ep, which was golden (i do like cleans, as on all of the above).

  • @TRAmPLdUNdRfOoT Disagree dude, it's really punky. Dunno how you can say it isn't. It isn't post-hardcore, it's just 2 sides of the band.

  • @steviethesoundguy eh, punk's what i do and various types of it are what i have been doing for most of my musical career. i don't really hear it here. but i guess we agree to disagree haha

  • woah... what happened to structures.... this is awful

  • @TCrowe729 you obviously didn't listen all the way till the end, i bet you just listened to the first 5 seconds and was like wow this is gay

  • @iCollectBandz actually i did, i listened to the entire song... didn't change my opinion at all buddy. this is terrible.

  • @TCrowe729 It's like the only song that have clean vocals on the record :P maybe 1 or 2 more

  • @MALSIV or like half of them bro. structures now officially changed for the worse... moving on.

  • @TCrowe729 you'll be back, buddy.

  • @TCrowe729 What? How? Because they got signed to Sumerian or because they're playing music that they enjoy and it's not catering to you?

  • @BroMehGod its not about catering to me.. its the fact that musicians constantly change to search for a more general, less mature audience. and this is a perfect example of that.

  • Comment removed

  • @TCrowe729 Even though they changed their sound slightly, don't act like it isn't still great music with an awesome message. If you actually went out to one of these guys shows, you would see ow passionate they are about their music and how down to earth the band is. Stop being so ignorant just because they changed their sound. Maybe they like this sound better? How the fuck would you know?

  • @TCrowe729 Lol. This just shows how ignorant you are being. this album is like literally 96% clean vocals. Stop being an idiot. I'm not one to intrude on musical opinions, but stop being a moron. At least find a legit reason to not like a band rather than making up bullshit.

  • @P3RiiiL Lmao oops I meant 96% unclean vocals

  • @P3RiiiL hahahah hostile eh? yeah they changed their sound into... like fucking blessthefall-esque. and almost this entire song is clean vocals so shut the fuck up... 96% unclean vocal album HA. bullshit. done talking about this. still standing by my opinion that they changed for the worst. progressive all of the above structures is dead. here comes new structures: we came as romans, blessthefall, a day to remember crap

  • @TCrowe729 Lol Blessthefall-esque? A Day to Remember? We Came As Romans? Now don't get me wrong I enjoy A Day to Remembers first two albums and I like We Came As Romans buy Structures sounds nothing like them. If anything they changed their sound to appeal to the hardcore scene because they probably enjoy the fans at atmosphere at shows. It truly sounds like you only heard this song. Name me 3 songs that have than like 3 clean bars xD. You're just hating for the purpose of hating.

  • @TCrowe729 And Im not just being hostile. I am questioning your logic. Yes they changed their sound. Do you have the right to not like the sound? Of course. But I don't understand how you can say that they changed THAT drastically. They made this the last track on the album for a reason. It is the only softer song and it serves its purpose. The rest of the album is heavy with like 4 clean lines throughout the whole album xD. I understand that music is subjective, but don't bullshit.

  • @P3RiiiL ive listened to the whole album bud and theres a lot more than "4 clean lines". ALL i was saying this band changed, and for me, a fan of the old structures, they are disappointing and in this for the money. i have a right to my opinion and am able to comment however i please. you're excuse for a rebuttal isn't swaying my opinion either so just stop.

  • @TCrowe729 you spelled amazing wrong

  • @amazingman40 you're so funny bro. i stand by my opinion. this is terrible, not amazing... smartass

  • yeah im interested in this ... i like having a screamer in my singer songs.. has anyone heard the rest of their music? would be really cool if the rest is hardercore or whatnot.. but let me know if you know.. i would appreciate it!

  • @vomitoriumbassist dude the rest of there music is sooo beastmode!

  • how can you all look at me the same way

  • are any of their other songs like this? or all really heavy?

  • good luck, champ.

  • saw them with carnifex in december 2011 at greenestreet, soo good!!

but they didnt play this song

    but so good live

  • How did you manage to get the dude from The Fray to sing in this? lmao.

But seriously, it sounds so much like him...

  • @LeonA7XRockr It literally sounds nothing like The Fray's vocalist lol.

  • @22jermz i think it does. listen to over my head.

  • I had to put this song on my hip-hop mix cd i made for my car. it's just too fucking good

  • Djent 182

  • @GodzillaBradley lmao that was gay as fuck but also funny as shit

  • Blink 182 vocalist? Lol

  • @RobmYoo Literally sounds nothing like Tom Delonge, or Mark Hoppus, at all. If anyone he sounds like the Sum 41 vocalist.

  • if more people new of this song, it would be bigger than any ADTR song ever. just saying.

  • @ArtifactUnknown we can only hope but people love simple songs all chugging instead of bands like these guys

  • @ArtifactUnknown That's true with anything. You basically said, "If this song were popular, then it would be popular."

  • @racosphinx ..no.. not at all. nice try at a few youtube likes though, but you probably won't get them.

  • @ArtifactUnknown Nah, I'm not an attention whore. Your comment just didn't make sense to me, so I replied to it.

  • @racosphinx if i was trying to say this song would be popular if this song was popular, i would have said this song would be popular if it was popular. ya dig?

  • Love it

  • BEst song on the album

  • @xzxBROSIFxzx I would have to completely agree with you. Definitely my favorite from the album as well

  • Bob don't be jealous of his small dick lol

  • Pillsbury stfu

  • @slashbashx rofl...ohhh shit i seriously laughed out loud

  • Shut up bitches and enjoy the music.

If you don't like it, fine, doesn't make me like it any less; shut up and go listen to what you do like.

  • This is by far my choice for album of the year for the simple fact of it's diversity and message; true art. The fact that the members are all around 19 or so, is even more inspiration for more local scenes. Showing that no matter how old you are you can make. It just takes showing a new message, style, and putting in talent/effort. For far too long this scene has been covered with BS Breakdown HXC. It's about time that one band comes out and says FUCK YOU.

  • Fuck all the hate. This is a damn emotional song. And its not like its just simple gay pop punk. If you listen to the instruments behind the vocals theyre still damn complex. I love structures and have ever since they put out all of the above

  • this is pretty good honestly...

  • this song is perfect. it has just the right amount of light and the perfect amount of heavy. the lyrics are fantastic. the haters can go break a leg.

  • structures ft. nevershoutnever?

  • @bobthesuperbadass92 Congrats man you just accomplished possibly writing one of the ignorant narrowminded comments on Youtube.

  • @22jermz thank you my purpose in life as been completed.no but fucking seriously i like these cleans there was no negativity intended in my comment i just said what they sound like to me, why dont you get back to stroking your small penis

  • @bobthesuperbadass92 Once again, how would you know if I had a small penis or if I was stroking it? You should really think through the comments you type.

  • @22jermz i have the psychic ability to know such information about men jerking it so fuck off

  • we dont miss the constant bullshit the 10 haters left on our comment page

  • why this reminds me a ''friend'' hh that's right....

  • Best song on the record, these dudes are geniuses

  • I don't know why people are hating. This is the first song i've heard by them and it blows my mind.

  • good luck champ, go break a fucking leg. 2 heavie.

  • Bi-polarcore <3

  • Listen to betraying the martyrs/ because of you. It's fuckin awesome

  • I love when a song sounds longer than it actually is.

  • Structures needs their own genre.

  • i always shit my pants at 2:20

  • the only song I personally like from Structures, but it is absolutely amazing.

  • It's so funny, The first chord in the first second gave me the impression that this will be the goddamn sickest song from this album ... then the singer came

  • Such a badass album! my new favorite band and if you disagree "Shut up, We just don't give a fuck"

  • So while wandering through the labyrinth in my head, I found peace of mind in giving up on all the ones who left..... Fucking amazing.

  • Good luck champ. Go break a fucking leg.

  • these guys are only 19/20 years old...fuck eh!

  • @Marmanandfriends its amazing how talented they are at such a young age, and the oldest member is 21. which is their drummer Andrew

  • breakdown was intense as fuck

  • Comment removed

  • wow this song is soo awesome!!!

  • DUDE. This is awesome! So different, but shit, I love it! <3 /

  • BULLSHIT! love that part

  • the song is called "divided by" just like the album is because the symbol means division

  • @JonxIsxFly thanks tips anyone that knows math could tell ya that

  • @shenanigansimply people were like "what is this song called?! DURRRRR" so i figured i would help them out ahhaha

  • @JonxIsxFly insightful

  • Comment removed

  • 2:30 :D

  • @iTerroizeBabies I just thought, since name of the album was divided by, and / is also divided by, I just call the song divided by.

  • is this the ultimate warrior's band ???

  • @bXmMusic LOL man u must feel really stupid right now

  • Woot TORONTO BAND!!!! SO AWESOME

  • i dont like the singing with this kind of genre. i thought i would like them, but this turned it off for me. some of their other songs are good though

  • its a self titled track. "/" divided by

  • song is so fucking good

  • Omg i love 2:04 such a good melody

  • I actually fucking love this song.

  • I can't stand all of the fucking close-minded, musically, and mentally uneducated douches... This is the ONLY song on the album like this... You have 9 other fucking songs to mosh to. This is just a nice change-up. I think it's badass how they mixed like 3 genres into one song. It sounds punk-rockish, mixed with metalcore, mixed with djent. The screams and guitar style are completely changed from their normal style at 2:03, then they bring in their djent style at 2:23.. Open your minds fuckheads

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 Couldn't agree more, this is a great change of pace song at the end of the album that really shows their diversity and potential for switching between any genre seamlessly.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 Calm down...

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 calm down man...

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 Word! I see these haters with no logical fuckin posts just needlessly hating on w/e band I goto on Youtube. I listen to all kinda of metal. Disturbed, Whitechapel, All That Remains, and stuff like Periphery.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 Tell me, where do you get your mental education? Lmao. I do agree with you though.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 The only reason those fuckheads troll and hate on structures is because they can't comprehend the music. its just too good.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 I can't express how much I agree with you on this. I am really into the Heavy Hardcore/DJent with the hard hitting 2 steps and breakdowns but "/" is by far my favorite song on the album strictly because they went from a poppy sound to some of the heaviest shit in the scene, in my opinion. Show me one other band that does this, let alone as well as Structures and you can talk all the shit you want.

  • @TheToryLord uh, didnt you just sum-up a day to remember? loll.

  • @bootylooklikedissize Maybe, but a day to remember aren't NEARLY as talented or creative as these guys.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 Their hearts are in the wrong place.

  • @ChuckNorrisBro3415 And it just shows the bands different skill range and that they don't just play the same thing every song they're different than most other bands.

  • Sounds like Simple Plan just bought a Boss MT-2 XD

  • this is fucking sick. holy shit<3

  • why would they do this...

  • Does the rest of the album sounds like this? What happened to them? lol

  • @GGPvideos Lol no it sounds nothing like this.

  • The name represents "Divided By" I believe lol

  • I don't understand how I could have (and still do) love the EP and feel so differently about the full length. I feel like there's oceans of talent there but they didn't even try to scratch it with the song writing. I'll remain patient and hope the next album evolves on what originally drew me to this band. Creativeness and sheer talent and skill.

  • It's impossible to find the lyrics to this on Google. :(

  • @Marino4L there all over google.

  • no matter what, Betraying The Martyrs is my favorite band from sumerian records so far.

  • @MercilessMrBrooks Then you obviously JUST started listening to Sumerian bands. Or you're French.

  • @GGPvideos it's been two years since I've started listening to Sumerian bands. emm.. does that consider me new?? haha. btw, I'm not french.

  • @MercilessMrBrooks They've been around for like 5 so you're a wee bit new, haha. BTM is definitely way up there on my list but I just don't see how you could think they're better than ATB, VOM, or Periphery.
