The practical ways in which he has applied it is in his voting. For example, in the issue of abortion, he supports repealing Roe vs. Wade, but also supports the states having the right to decide about this issue, because the Constitution would allow the states to have more power. Other examples are the death penalty and gay issues. Giving the power to decide to the states prevents federal abuses and allows for more personal freedom. Thanks for the lively discussion.
