  • The light out the back it plasma right?

  • @CrankEmpire Yeah it's plasma but you can't tell nobody. Top Secret, now I gotta kill u. Haha.

  • ANYONE FOR marshmallows?

  • @USSWISCONSIN64

God-dammit, I was about to post the same thing.....

  • beautiful, perfectly expanded and everything (gotta love variable-geometry nozzles). that is a beautiful sight to an engineer's eyes

  • anyone up for a bbq? =D

  • This is some awesome footage

  • man i love the workin on the GE model F-16s so much more than the pratt and whitneys, god they suck there garbage

  • That must be one strong cable, seeing as the F-16 can put out about 22,000 lbs. of thrust.

  • Awesome! What's an aug lighter?

  • An aug igniter is a igniter plug (similar to a spark plug) in the augmentor sectiion(which people tend to call it the afterbuner burner). The igniter reignites the heated gas mixed in with more fuel to cause the flame you see.

  • wonder how it feels like to limbo the fire=)

  • Nice video. I was an F-15 crew chief and although I was never run certified, I worked on a D-Model so I was able to sit in the backseat during engine tests on occasion.

  • in that burn, you could make a steak in 0.15783639 sec! LOLWUT! cool1

  • @Zzzlol94 that would be one burned steak :P

  • that has to be defening! SUPER LOUD!

  • That is why I am glad I am the run guy. No more sitting on the ground losing my hearing! lol

  • lol

  • lol you are one lucky man are you and engineer?

  • Naw, I am not a engineer. I am a jet engine technician of 9 years. I would say I am lucky, but I love my job. I am currently working B-1's now. 1 year total so far. Doing engine runs on that is awsome too. I want to get an areonautical engineering degree but trying to do that and military at the same time is difficult.

  • B1? Now THAT's a noisy one :)

  • LOL - trying to get any degree while in the military is difficult. Just wait until your service is done and then get your degree with the GI Bill

  • I thought that only applies to Marines...

  • Getting a degree in the military is hard because of the time constraints. I worked on the flight line for about 10-12 hours per day. That plus having to take more time than normal 18-24 year old people to clean clothes, polish boots, iron, etc. that we do in the military makes taking college classes next to impossible.

  • @mbraase hell yeah man im right there with ya crew chief on f-16s and there are some long days, 10-12 hr days are normal it sucks but i dunno if id rather be anywhere else in the military the flight line is where its at, I mean who else gets to play with fighter jets??
