  • theyre all asian xD

  • Guy or Girl @ 1:13??

  • lol half of the team is chinese

  • @xix3love no shit

  • @xix3love yeh, im surprised too... only half?

  • @xix3love

it's a world competition... asians consist of a lot of the world population.

  • i can do a good amount of AIME problems, derived pythagorean theorem from scratch all by myself, and got an 800 on the SAT math...does that make me talented at all?? lol

(i feel stupid next to these people) -__-

  • @wearymachine these things you said you´ve done aren´t high level stuff.... have you ever seen an IMO problem? pick up any imo from the last 20 years and if you can do any of those than yes, you are fairly talented, at the very least. If you can do lots of these IMO problems than you are probably a genius. These problems are the hardest of the hardest. Trust me.

  • @ColdGambler lol honestly, the way i said my comment was kinda implying that i'm nothing (below the ground level) next to these ppl...i've read IMO problems before and they're pretty ridiculous...

  • @wearymachine hahah ok.....but you mean ridiculously hard right? And you are not "nothing", you maybe an extremely talented person, the thing is, sat, aime, etc only tells us that you have a minimum level, it does not tell us anything about your upper bound of intelligence (sat is pretty easy actually), you can be a genius. And another thing, IMO requires training and practice, most of the contestants learned a variety of techniques, they didn´t come up with all of them, but rather learned them.

  • These are the guys I respect the most.

  • Where can I download this documentary?

  • Shyt, i'm still trying to learn how to do the pen flip @ 2:06

  • NERDS

  • i was here, it was easy

  • @VanMedia no you weren't. and no it isn't

  • Can someone Please, please, please post this entire movie on youtube????? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

  • An IMOer works for my dad... fail

  • where can i watch the fall documentary?

  • I fuckin hate math. I'm so fucking bad at it.

  • @gamepan615 bad kid. so stupid. why dont you go shoot yourself

  • There was a full-length documentary posted on this, but the person who posted it deleted their account.

  • Vietnam is #1 at Maths in Asia

  • @KatiushaVN4 nope. china

  • @SavetheStarving

Vietnam earn most medals in Asia

  • @KatiushaVN4 sorry, but China dominates.

  • 2:05 I've always tried that but i never seem to get it! im still trying..

  • @centesjosh just keep doing it try not thinking about it I have pretty good pencil tricks myself but i never noticed until somebody said something !

  • @centesjosh you would say that. try getting the actuall problems

  • Contestants must be under 20 years old and they must not be university students.

  • what age group is this for?

  • high school students.

  • good

  • that's like cheating: his name is abel

  • Surely Ludwig van Beethoven was a genius!

  • Chinese again,lol

  • I've been told by my professor that he knew a field medalist who tried out a Putnam test and got a ZERO.

  • @minifoo8 Just an anomaly. The truth is that most of them would do well on the Putnam. Maybe this field medalist wasn't trying hard enough, or maybe he did not reach mathematical maturity until graduate school. Either way, the putnam exam shouldn't be much of a problem to someone with the mathematical knowledge and aptitude that a fields medalist typically possesses. So potential fields medalists should be able to ace the putnam, but the converse is not true, though..

  • @minifoo8 Yay I beat a Field's Medalist :D

  • @minifoo8

    that's hard to believe lol...

  • @minifoo8 Yes but doing not so well on the putnam doesnt imply that you do not have the potential to do well.

  • yayy Yi is an awesome Panda!

  • does anyone know where to get this video from?

  • great vid! I love math sooooo bad; I'm just sad cause I'm not that smart to go to IMO. We have IMO bronze medalist on our college, and I can say that I'm pretty fascinated by those people.

  • BTW, when I said "there," I meant in that competition. not in the USA team :p

And hey, thanks for this video :D

  • I was theeere! It was a great experience, though I sucked at the problems part :p

  • IMO problems are usually so beautiful! Sadly I ranked 7th in my country so I didnt go.

  • I ranked 1,000,131st so didn't go either

  • lol. Im like 23,000,272

  • I ranked 700000th in the world, so I didn't go.

  • I would not mention that if I were you.

  • Ranking one, or Beethoven one?

  • How badly you did.

  • Your comment is worse. Do you even care about someone else's feelings? I could now rank top 500000 now, but that's still not bad.
