I just can't thank you enough for posting this. A very powerful wave of nostalgia and longing for childhood days swept over me as I watched it. Yes, I can see some of the photos in other places online, but that music! Where and how on earth did you get your hands on the music?
WoW! Boy do I remember this ride! Went on that ride twice! Can not belive somebody had posted this! Brought back some wonderful memories! Thank you for posting this video!
That really brought back memories for me!. I used to love that ride! That was always one of my favorites for reasong beyond the fact that it was air conditioned, which was nice on those hot summer days. Loved it!!!
one show there back in 1984 when this ride was also still running I wish someone had a vid of was called the "Rockin' Scooby" show which had scooby doo yogi bear and fred flintstone on stage over by the little gas drive sports car part of the park (which is no longer there saddly) and they did songs from the 50s and 60s wasa really great show
I use to be terrified of the coasters, and I'm a cartoon fanatic, so this was always my favorite ride at the park. My favorite part of the ride was the Scooby section, where it got dark, and the black-lights came on. :) Wow, I miss this. The Smurf ride was ok, but after that, I just kind of stopped caring, and found out how much I loved roller coaster. But this ride will always be special, and have a place in my heart. Thanks for letting me feel like a kid again. Cheers.
I can not listen to this song without smiling. This was and still is my favorite ride of all time. Things are not the same anymore. I would give anything to go back and do things all over again. Where did you find this??? Thanks.
This ride was awesome by the standards of today or yesterday! I loved it more than anyone can know and wish the kids of today could have Saturday morning cartoons especially Hanna Barbera instead of total 24 hour a day internet on demand it is a whole different world now...
That ride was pretty lame by today's standards, but for some reason I always looked forward to hearing this jingle. Musicians rely on gimmicks too much these days and have lost the ability to compose and play catchy tunes like this.
I loved this ride so much and cannot believe i am hearing this song again 27 years later! Does anyone remember Scooby and Shaggy getting chased by a shark or alligator?

This was one of the best rides at Kings Island. All the Saturday cartoon characters came alive in that building. It's a shame they took it down. I forgot about the jingle they played that got stuck in your brain. Thanks for sharing the memories.
Ah yes...back when KI had soul. I recently took my young daugters there in late summer of this year. It's souless now-adays....just not the same place I experienced when I was a kid.
I've got to get my parents' old photo albums out soon and look at our pictures of the Enchanted Voyage. What great memories! I, too, was disappointed when they replaced it with Smurfs. But the song and the way the ride made me feel will live in my heart forever!
Thanks for posting this. I woke up this morning and got the tune stuck in my head but couldn't remember the words. Luckily, I found your video! Have a happy day.
haha! This is great - so many memories!! ...that rush of cool air when you enter - that smell of the chlorine in the water mixed with that fiberglass/paint smell, the music/lyrics and that turtle at the end! love it. Thanks for the post.
I loved this video. Great job. What amused me as I watched was feeling like you had raided my photo collection. I swear I have some almost the very same shots in my photo album. great memories.
dang i keep thinking i rode these rides before. Spelunker's Cave, Enchanted Voyage, Knott's Bear-y Tales, and many more from all amusement parks. I was never born to see them. but i keep thinking i seen them but maybe in my past life. i wanna go back to past dang to see all th charm parks had with these great dark rides
OMG thanks for bringing back great memories! I LOVED this ride as a kid! I would always fear that the clown's teeth at the end would come down on us! LOL!
3:16 the clown on the very end looks scary... I didn't understand this ride really. But now I do! How neat for the characters you see on TV in a ride... Like you're going in a tv set. Phantom Theater will always reamain to me the best ride at Kings Island, but I feel had I ridden this one, I think there'd be a tie. What a neat concept! I wonder where all this cool stuff went? Some of my favorite shows are there, still to this day- Thanks to Boomerang. I'm 19, love this classic stuff!
Thanks for this! This song has been stuck in my head for years and I've always wanted to hear the real thing again. Really nice to hear the different versions of the song for each section. Where did you find the music? Love it!
No chance of that. Scooby Doo and even Nick will be gone next year, replaced by "Planet Snoopy", a Peanuts-themed kids' area. Even thought they're both much farther away from us, my family has gravitated more to Disney and Dollywood. Both places have maintained their theming and do their best to keep as many old favorites in place even when adding new attractions. They also have many more rides that whole families can enjoy instead of countless roller coasters.
thats a shame I rembr back in 1984 when this ride was running it was so cool, and they had I think one of the best schooby shows over by the small driving cars called "Rockin" scooby
I would so love to be able to see a vid of this if theres one out there wasa great show I bet I could even out ona scooby costume and do his skit without any problems even after all thees years I seen it alot back then:) thanks for some great memories
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I loved this ride, and bits of the song have been running through my head lately, but I could never recall the whole thing! Where in the world did you find it? Thanks for helping so many of us to relive this childhood memory. Have a huh-huh-huh-happy day!! ;-D
For a revival of a ride to disney. I thought about using the circus finale as an inspiration for a ride i want to revive someday for disney theme parks.
*sniff* - YES... the best! It was great to enjoy the air conditioning on a HOT summer day. :-) I always liked the big clown teeth at the end and the big snail saying... "Hope you enjoyed the ride. Have a huh huh HAPPY DAY!"
I was on the Phantom Theater version of this ride during it's final hour, A heavy thunderstorm caused the roof of the control room to fill so heavy with water that the ceiling collapsed dumping lots of water right down on the computer controls and power supplies to the ride, the ride stopped and the speech and music died down and the whole inside where I was went pitch black, I know this cause outside the ride when I did get off the parks owner was blowing up with profanity over it!!
the control room? it was a platform with a series of buttons. the building is shared with the ecology department. a theatre. and the base of operations for the ecology department. and the character department. i can't imagine what your saying. did you get wet lol?
The songs title is Live in My TV by Hannah Barbara and Friends. This was the ride I remember as a little girl brings tears as I remember sitting in the boat with my family at fun filled day at Kings Island...Bring this ride back
Excellent - very memorable - shame they sold so many memories for thirty pieces of silver and were suckered by the short-term 'popularity' of the Smurfs.
That boring Smurfs ride was a terrible letdown after the Enchanted Voyage. And what a dumb decision to replace a ride featuring all the Hanna-Barbera characters with a ride that only featured the characters on a single show -- a single, irritating show.
wow.. i remember some of these pictures now... i was 7.... thanks for posting...

The music was recycled from the 1971 Hanna-Barbera Christmas special "A Christmas Story" with new lyrics.
