honestly though, even if Teal'c is the better warrior, or more experianced fighter, that isn't Ronon's strong point. He is a survivor, and i doubt that Teal'c would have lasted nearly as long as Ronon did as a runner.

Wanna know how this episode came about? Two nerdy kids argued over whether Teal'c or Ronan would win in a fight. So, they paired them up. No, not really, but I get the impression watching this episode.

Atlantis by heart is much more harsh (where SG-1 has boxing, SG-A has Ronin giving Shepperd stitches constantly), mostly by story and what they show. Teal'c would win in the end, however anger, expertise and that badass swinging motion Ronin has would put up a fight. - H

Teal'c looked like a pimp when his hair was slick back in this episode! The only thought running through my mind is the "Super Fly" song! I think Teal'c would have Ronin beat after about 6 hours or so. After all T is at least 100 yrs Ronin's senior. giggles Regardless this was an awesome fight!
Ronon led something like a platoon while Teal'c was the First Prime, and I think Teal'c would eventually win with his natural strength and endurance+xp. And I think Teal'c has more xp in dueling.
you lot do realize that Teal'c as a Jaffa, and Ronan, is virtually, the best of their people right? In layman terms; Teal'c is the pinnacle of Jaffa viability and strength, and Ronan is the pinnacle of brute force brutality and military prowess of his people. I wouldn't be surprise if genetically they're different than humans; bred for war as opposed to meh like the rest of us.
If I am not mistaken Jaffa were "made" by Goa'Uld to live longer, thus carrying the larva more time. Teal'c (by the time of this fight) would have much more experience than Ronon, still, Ronon survived the Wraith for 7 years. He's a tough guy....
They both are badass in their own way. No point in denying this.

@HistoricalRecBattles Try at least a 100 years more experience but then again besides besides he commanded troops and has many other areas of expertise. Teal'c is an expert at combat, commanding men, organizing resistance groups, being a politician for his people, interacting with other races and etc... While Ronan while an expert at combat was in the army but nowhere near the level of Teal'c. In combat Teal'c should win in the end because of experience alone though it would be close.
Oh yeah! Teal'c vs The Ronon was always gonna be a badass matchup! Just wish it was longer onscreen! Ronon needed this fight, though. The Atlantis marines weren't giving him the challenge he needed to test his skills! Ronon was pissed off at Teal'c, but probably grateful to him as well since he could go all out on Teal'c with Teal'c not only being able to handle it, but fighting back on Ronon's level!
i could tell Teal'c was toying with Ronon in this fight, he knows what type of person he is and honestly, Ronon was the more offensive, constantly attacking one while Teal'c was reacting and countering and never let emotion get to him like Ronon did
in the end, i always believed Ronon was a wannabe Teal'c anyway, there's nothing really that special about him where when u see Teal'c, u instantly respect him and you feel he stands for something much greater than himself

I was never really impressed with Ronons skills as the teams "tough" guy, especially when they did this to compare him to teal'c(awesome ep though). Ronon is a "runner" and teal'c is warrior with over 100 years on Ronon. The fight would be over very quickly if Teal'c decided so.
@somfplease Ronon wasnt always runner, he was a soldier before (and martial art expert obviously from other episodes) - and his running times were pretty much good exercise for both his skills and toughness. And Teal'c doesn't have 100 years ahead, I doubt that he trained hard on the ship during his "time freeze", I thing that it was actually pretty much decreasing time for his skills (no real sparing partners, no praxis, no need etc.)
Okay, so where the hell did this come from. I have never ever seen this episode and i thought that I had seen all of Stargate Atlantis episodes, multiple times. lol

When it came to stickfighting Ronon was the better man, but with only their bare hands Teal'c was the better man. He takes several punches and seems just fine, and only one punch sets Ronon out of balance, making him groggy. Teal'c's last smash blow almost ended this fight.
Teal'c has the stickfightability, but has to focus on his defense cause his style is a strongman/counter, he's almost lose to Ronon who has a speed/agility/technical style.
Teal'c would have won eventually. don't get me wrong, I like ronon as much as the next person, but between the massive arms, 160 years more practice and the fact he's immune to all disease, teal'c would have worn him down

Well, Teal'c is an old man, he's older than Bra'tac now and still able to fight equally with Ronon.
Hehe, if he still had his symbiote and were young, he would have crushed Ronon in 1 minute. :p

I didn't like teal'c hair it looked weird.. the short hair was ok but his looks like a jr version of Ronon's dreads

Teal'c would have won eventually. don't get me wrong, I like ronon as much as the next person, but between the massive arms, 160 years more practice and the fact he's immune to all disease, teal'c would have worn him down

BTW, his immune system is actually more vulnerable now that he's on Tretonin. Morpheus has shown us that. He's got a regular person's immune system.
