make sure u take ur hedgie outside of the cage cuz the wheel is tooooo small! i do so with my hog and she ABSOLUTELY loves running around my house! its sooo cute to watch too! but make sure the hog doesnt go under tight spaces or wires...or eats candles.........

Another option is to let her out of the cage for exercise. I bought mine a ferret-sized exercise ball for about $35, or if you have a room where there's no dangerous spaces for her to dig or crawl into, and you don't care if the floor gets stained, you can let her run around and explore for a few hours every day. Just consider the little cage a bedroom to keep her out of trouble when you're not home. ^^

That cage is way too small for any excercise worth anything, and the animal's length exceeds that of the wheel's diameter, so I don't know how this is some mystery to you. Get a fucking wheel that is appropriate. Hedgehog's spine is like yours and isn't to be bent backwards- get a large wheel

You should try a bigger one, silent spinners can get to good sizes. Just be super careful with what it's running on, they have small fingers and it's easy to get caught in a slot on a wheel.

that not always true. i have a HUGE wheel and its even down to where they can get on it... but they still run on it like that. i have no idea why. but yes the wheel is too small for her. heh i remember when i bought a new wheel and it was too small i woke up in the middle of the night to a big thump and my poor Caprice knocked the thing over on her! it was so sad but so cute and funny at the same time!

It's definitely too small, lol! My hedgie's wheel is a 12" wheel. That one looks like a 6" wheel... if that! You can get one of the big ones from Petsmart for like $15.
