  • That lizard is a male Australian water dragon

  • 31:00 dingo stole my bike

  • Why does the word "Bris Vegas" remember me of Wall Street?

  • ... very engaging personality. Its a shame I live in the UK (I'm a girl btw). Would be cool to see more travel blogs in the future. Chow from a fangirl. ^_^

  • @foresthat Does it matter if you're a girl? Does being a girl have anything to do with what you had to say?

  • @Harlei3 He was talking about his trouble talking with women and as a member of the female gender, who can relate, I was giving my thoughts. Since my user name is a bit androgynous I felt mentioning my gender was relevant, as well as being a bit flirty (hey why not ^_^)

  • @foresthat Would you just quit using that retarded emoticon?

  • Hey there, thanks for the tour around your old stomping ground, I found the vid rather relaxing to watch. It was nice seeing some different sides of you, you are probably one of the most genuine people I've seen on you tube (or a very convincing ploy). As a fellow socially inept individual the only thing you can do is improve with practice, just talking to people as much as you can and with time it comes more naturally. You're definitely not unattractive, rather cute actually and you have a ...

  • I want to go now, you should do more of these videos

  • Whatched it all!

    Enjoyed it all !

    I like the random lizard!

  • cant believe i watched the whole thing. the longest vid ive seen here on youtube. and it wasnt boring at all. was actually quite interesting. great job on the documentary blunty...

  • love your spur of the moment trip...guess you're a single guy....

looks like a really cool city....

  • Blunty you're a dick to tourists.

  • I married a brisbane girl. Wewt

  • Take Australia off my list of places to visit. Thanks!

  • @AchillesSmile why?

  • Comment removed

  • Didn't realize I'd been sitting here for fourty minutes until it was done... loved it.

Also, your comparison between cities feels a lot like what I love about Denver compared to, say, NYC or LA... I love that peaceful city vibe~

  • I would very much like to see some more travel vlogs from you i find them very interesting. I know its impractical to do them all the time because of cost but even around Sydney would be cool. Australia has all ways interested me.

  • Ahhh a half an hour well spent. I forget which part exactly it was,but anyone watching this vid if you check the trees right after blunty says something about them being cut down you can see a sawn-off tree branch to the left side. Made me laugh a bit.

  • @Blunty3000 Just a bit of a question. Do you have any other places like this to do videos of? Do you have any favorite places from when you visit America? Me, myself like to visit places like zoo's especially on days when there are few people. Then you can actually appreciate and get to see the animals, and enjoy their majesty and such.

  • Quite surprised I sat through all of this. Excellent video. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • @Ponthegan I live here, It is the best. I have traveled extensively and this is where to live. enough said.

  • blunty i used to live in brisbane and now live in sydney what a coincidence.

  • That was realy cool but i live in brisbane so everything that was shown i had all ready seen

  • Thanks for showcasing the best city, in the best state, in the best country in the world. Brisbane, Queensland, Australia of course, for those who need to know.

  • Haha, glad I watched throught the whole video, not much of a "long video" person. Did anyone notice you while you were at Brisy Blunty?

  • Queensland is Damn bloody glorious. Went from Melbourne to the gold coast, in june, and we wore short sleave shirts, and shorts and stuff, the loacals are all, My god this is frezing, aint you cold, Like no, this is glorous

  • Australia seems to be one of those countries that attract the more idiotic American tourists. Rather then actually put some forethought into what they are going to see and do they just wander around going duuuuur. Being American myself I find them just as annoying as the locals that have to put up with them.

  • BROWN BROWN BROWN BROWN, GREEN... Blue trash. XD

  • Blunty nicely done .. this is the first youtube video i have watched that lasted longer then 15 min... and enjoyed it.. good job keep it up!

  • lmfao @ bogan comment!!!... "Bogans do but they dont count.." lol

  • brisbane - amazing :))

    brownbrownbrownbrown GREEN!! - hilarious

    kookaburra - awesome (as expected)

video is superb (even though after a while I started feeling sorry & concerned about your arm/shoulder ;-) --mine would 've been sprained lol)

Told about kookaburra? ;) *amazing* (wanted to hear his/her laughing voice though) Loved the Dinosaur!!

Blunty is awe*hand*some (as usual) (but have to admit.. I felt 'outraged' by the new hairstyle ;-))) u don't need all that colour ;-)) *groupie mode* lol

  • The bridge was named after John Douglas Story xD

  • That shot of the clouds was AMAZING!

  • Trust him, mangroves really stink

  • TheFatAussieBarstard used to drink VB

  • Quality on the camera is fantastic, loved watching the whole vlog. Makes for an intimate experience of hearing your thoughts and point of view, keep up the AMAZING work

  • I wasn't sure I'd sit through the whole thing when I saw the length, but I didn't find myself losing interest with this one. The scenery, commentary and the way it was all put together kept me drawn in.

  • ahaha lucky...I can never get ANY sleep on an airplane.

  • By the way that's a water monitor you were filming (:

  • Thankyou for that description of the piece of artwork in the botanic gardens. I have been living in Brisbane all my life and still today that piece of artwork makes no sense to me.

  • How pleseant.

  • hello from adelaide blunty!

just like to say i enjoyed the vid and thought u shoud do one for adelaide! :)

  • good stuff. I love the long way series. Everything I watch it makes me want to run out the door and hop on a plane somewhere. Still I've been in the market for a new camera for my next adventure, looking forward to the review. One thing I didn't like in the video was that musical track. It was a bit over used. Otherwise an enjoyable travel log

  • nice vid, kinda get you wanting a break or something to de-stress, but lay off on the cursing just a tiny bit, it's annoying. ;)

  • Thanx for the tour Blunty--- I promise not to be a douchebag tourist if I ever make it to Australia.

That camera takes great shots, I'll be waiting for your review of it.

  • @aeroferret Live here - it's the place to be.

  • Yay for the accidental iPad posting there, gotta love touchscreens... *is pretty messed up. This vid has totally made me wish I could afford to travel to Aus for a couple weeks pinballing about... Sadly a little more awkward to get to from up here! :P (and yes, I actually watched the whole thing! Epic lizards FTW!)

  • Messing with tourists is awesome fun, especially when even the TRUE story is pretty

  • @Blunty3000 People are using Citybike (Those bikes that the council offers). But mainly focuses on locals and business people looking to travel between citybike locations

Even if you are a local. You're charged a fucking ton of money just to use them and there no way of getting "instant" access. Like using the Gocard credits and you need a helmet

This wasn't thought through very well by the council. Adelaide has free bikes and helmets FFS!

  • Sonofaduck. You met Yahtzee? Blunty, you're my hero now!

  • I so want to visit Australia. Not that I'll be able to afford to for a very long time. But I hate beer, so I won't be drinking either VB or Fosters :)

  • hey blunty u noe whats cool? i went to Sydney Olympic park saw mangroves n shit U TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO EXPLAIN WHEN THEY TOOK FUCKING BLOODY 5HRS OF MY DAY!

  • Hi Blunty what did you use to record the footage ?

  • @theaussiegeek A few bits were the iPhone... the rest were from a camera I'll be publishing a review on early next week. keep an eye out ;)

  • I quite enjoyed that. Loved the ripping on the tourists haha xD

  • I really liked the video and that joggers ass was soo nice lolz that city looks really beautiful except for the liter an that wanker of a child nice vid blunty hope for more to come

  • i laughed so hard at 22:03 THIS BITCH, AND HER WANKER OF A CHILD.

  • I wish you still lived in Brisbane. Whenever I went to the city I had the slightest chance of bumping into you. Sydney is lame. Just come back.

  • Ha, slightly hungover after tasting ALL our drinks? :P

  • @TheManaBar Well, yes... All of your specialist menu drunks, AND some of bar-tender-Tony's own tasty concoctions... AND about thee hours of drinking down the road after you folks closed ;) like I said.... EPIC ;)

  • @TheManaBar Can I come to your bar :(

  • love llong videos.. make more pl0x

yo know when you talk abut the ants in the sign.. its actually the ants that brought the mud in there themselves intentionally to build an uber 1337 see through ant farm

  • And shit

  • love llong videos.. make more pl0x

  • Wish I lived in Australia so badly, I $%# hate being an american and living in this shitty country. Even California is such a depressing cultureless futureless shithole. The only thing really wrong with Australia is how its like the USA (Housing/stupid banks/carscarscars) or the UK (yobs and the banks). It's great to see Brisbane healing and still as beautiful as ever. It's always been my fav big city, The weather and secondly far away from my extended family in Victoria and South Australia.

  • Ok now I must make the trip to Brisbane just for the chance to meet that fearless old woman at 36:56

  • Blunty, you have one hell of a life. I am very envious of you! I am only seventeen but I'd love to live like you. Brisbane looks beautiful.

You somewhat remind me of my father, he loves to explore and look around places. Just walk around, and find new things. And he is slightly portly much like you! haha

This is a wonderful video. I'd love more like this! Keep it up!

  • Gotta say Blunty, but 2 months ago I'd have been one of the "Too long, did not watch" crowd. But having gotten into longer vlogs and therefore being more than prepared for a long vid, I very much enjoyed the change of pace. I don't watch many "Travel vlogs" but if this is different from them, I don't think I'd be that interested. Especially as you've a standard in your general videography I've come to love and most others tend to wimp out on achieving.

    Great work as usual dude.

  • @Valomorn Glad you enjoyed it.... and yeah, I've no real wish to emulate most "travel bloggers" out there, most of them come off like complete twats... I'm sure they're nice people, most people who love travel are... but the common presentation/writing style of most of that type of content just shits me ;)

  • @Blunty3000 Blunty, the reason why peeps get sleepy on airplanes is because they turn the oxygen down. You can still breathe well, but they make it so you'll fall asleep. It's a devious strategy, but it damn works.

  • Did you dye your hair?

  • I must say I truly enjoyed this video, and it has become my favorite video from your channel. It'd be really cool if you could do something like this when you decide to travel. Thanks for giving us a little slice of Australia ^_^.

  • That was probably one of my favorite videos you have ever done Blunty. Great Job, I would love to see move "Travel Blogs" from you.

  • Hah, I've noticed that you grow increasingly cynical throughout the video. Great video over all, miss leading tourists, and making fun of people. XD

  • I wonder if people thought you were weird for talking to yourself.

  • So if there is ever a string of hipser/emo murders in Brisbane, we will know who is responsible.

  • I just watched all of that. Thought I'd be one of the 3 minute heads, but there you go.

Well wow, with all the negativity that makes all the positivity in the reviews more believable! Got those bike things in Ireland too. No helmet rule though. Road safety people were really annoyed with it, but they're damn useful!

Was in Brisbane once for two nights. Flooding must have been terrible, good to see it still alive and some coming back. Pity about the artificial beach.Gotta love those BBQ units

  • That music sounded quite smashing pumpkins-esque at points.

  • Awesome video Blunty.

  • I LOVE LONG WAY DOWN!!!! Aussie power! haha

  • Blunty for PM if he gets rid of the stupid helmut rule... I'm in Germany and the only rule is if you ride at night you must have a light on your bike. Makes me miss Aus so much, Wollongong rocks!

  • Fucking Wyoming!!!!

  • Whan an enjoyable video! Thank you for sharing your trip there with us.

I can't say I liked the couple of anti Americanisms but I guess no one is perfect.

Apart from bike thieves, is it a low crime area?

  • first i was like buh 37min but afterwards i really enjoyed it

  • I liked it :)

  • ah great video, I love these long video,

  • The bike in the river was the one that had been freed from it's shackles you showed earlier in your video.

  • great video blunty very entertaining. But next time, lay off the Americans a little eh? We're not all fat and lazy, the news and world just portrays us as such. Lol. I'd love to go to Australia one day

  • What australian beer do Australians drink, Blunty? Foster's? XXXX?

  • @goras234 Coronas !! We drink everything

  • Did you dye your hair Emo Black?

  • You and I think alike. I am also watching long way down, no joke. It has inspired me to actually buy a motorbike and ride to QLD. My mum lives there

  • That lizard was actually a life guard, making sure the ducks didn't drown.

  • One time at Southbank, I saw an Ibis swoop down and steal a persons burger. I lold.

  • @LemonSherbetCandy Awesome! I wish someone will get that on camera!

  • Ahh Blunty! I loved that HMS Cobber-Bobber That's how to deal with US Tourists! I had one the other day, asked me what was important about HMS Warrior (First Iron clad ship), I was so Temped to say it Sunk Hitler's Personal Yacht! But... I just couldn't do it... So I spoke in German at them!

  • Awesome video! Quickest 38 minutes in a long while. The music started getting slightly repetitive though towards to end but heck, who cares? xP

  • It's such an amazing concept that you can explore a place you've already been yet still discover new things. Makes me want to travel outside of Melbourne for a weekend.

Oh, and congrats on finding some kind of relaxation while you were up there. Still a favorite vlogger.

  • you dyed your hair like a boss :D

  • Hats off to you sir, one of if not the best video on youtube

  • Woot for Southport, Gold Coast, at 2:11 - 2:14, my home!

  • I watched this whole video. It was a pleasure.

  • The people of Brisbane must of expected it to rain a lot after seeing that cloudy sky.

  • sydney is awesome though.. RIGHT?

  • 22:22 My friend fell in that pond! oh he got bullied so much, good old junior school.

  • I live there! The water came up 3/4 of the way on the top floor of my house

  • You need to come up down to Newcastle. Best city in Aus IMO. Way smaller than Sydney but still enough to do and all that.

  • Yeah Brisbane's a cool place. Great place to grow up also, all the luxuries of city life and the pleasantries of quiet suburbia (in my case anyway). It's funny, I was reading your twitter feed when you were in the ManaBar and I assumed you were at the Melbourne one... Wish I didn't. Would have gone in to meet ya...

And they bloke you showed mixing your drink(s) is an excellent bartender. Consistently great drinks.... I love the ManaBar :D

  • Diggin' the new hair, and wow I wish we had a ManaBar near my area.

  • Great video as always, Blunty. I swear I thought I saw you on Sunday but I figured it was just an enthusiastic tourist and didn't bother to say hello. Totally agree with you on the infestation of emos and 'kids' with the attitude - they are EVERYWHERE. Also good to see you highlight and point out other sights that a lot of us locals take for granted.

It'd be great if you did a separate video on the Mana Bar. Great place, great drinks and great service. Biased? Yeah. But it's great :D

  • "Someone has left there bag here.... Cleary, its a bomb of some kind and a terrorist left it there to destroy the harmony of this park "

HAhaha blunty you made me lol so hard when u said that

  • :D its a bearded dragon

  • @RossCo10977 Close. it was an Australian water dragon.

  • @Blunty3000 as soon as i press enter i noticed i typed the wrong name -.- i have both those types on lizards in my back yard here on the gold coast :D

  • @Blunty3000 lol

  • Hey, the lizzard was a water dragon dude. I also don't like ibis, but I still feed the ducks. The best place to go in Sydney for that is Victoria Park, unless they killed all the unnative birds, but there used to be a black swan, white goose {yeah, lovers if you're Disney inclined}a cute but ugly muskovy and a few miscelalneous ferals plus infinite black ducks which look like female Mallards, but aren't. Sydney isn't all bad. But I now live up north near Cairns... quiet and warm.Come visit.bye

  • Hey Blunty, I know you don't usually respond to many comments but I just wanted to first tell you that I watched this entire video and I really quite enjoyed it. I think the main reason is my upcoming plans. My father and I have been wanting a change in life and we've been very seriously considering moving to Sydney, (from Canada) around September. I have been religiously watching your videos for a year or two now, and I would REALLY like the opportunity to maybe meet you!

    Cheers!

  • Looking good with that black hair, Blunty!

  • That was a great video. I swear seems like you put lots of work in to it.

  • looks like a great time, i'd love to visit some day.

  • yeah thats whats good about brisbane ... all the emo/scene kids its great

  • really loving the songs you used in this

  • Long way round and Long way down do the exact same to me. I just wanted to get outside and do somthing!

  • i thought this was the time of year when you were starting into winter there. that looks a lot nicer than the 13million dollar piece of shit they put in by the river in Nashville and have had to redo it twice already in 4 years. rediculous! i'd much rather have that statue to look at than the gawdy roller coaster track looking piece of shit that we have now. very nice visually pleasing tour. thanks for sharing it. (specially since i'll never make it there)

  • Man this video is pretty cool really like it. Wish i could fly there but it will cost me a fortune. I would need to travel literally around the world to go there and you can be my personal travel agent or w/e is called...but anyway the other thing i wanted to say is that where i live those lizard w/e they r called are killing our ecosystem because where i live they have no predator so... they are running in the wild eating everything they see...but oh wellz that thing for another moment.

  • Blunty3000 Is there any difference between an American and an Australian,And i mean besides the country they live in?

  • you sure the bench was for fat tourists on the bridge? seems too small bench to put your ass on if you're fat rofl

  • ur motives for travel are like my grandmothers (watching movie or show then deciding to go out because of the movie or show)

  • Excellent footage mate. I always love your travel videos. So many great shots and so full of color.

  • that is a very nice camera.

  • get OUT of the city all together, all cities suck

  • You're awesome Blunty, I live in brisbane. Great city in winter, not so much in summer if you hate hot weather : |

  • WOO EXTERMINATE THOSE EMOS!

  • You're awesome Blunty

  • Glorious.

  • you said 1918

  • LOL Love it Blunty, Your humour is most welcome to all your videos.

  • nice vid.. that did look some what like a frilled neck lizard. not sure though.

  • Hey, good video! I was not expecting to watch all 37 min of it, but your style of blog was so interesting and easy to watch. I really enjoyed it. I am from Sydney myself, and from what you have just shown me, Brisbane looks like an awesome and beautiful city that i am deffinatly going to have to check out at some point. Thanks again for the video.

  • timezone ftw.

P.S. the Audio gets out of sync at 25:38

  • i must say dear nate, asmuch as i am a HUGH follower of you're reviews (even though i dont use hald the things you DO review) i absolutly loved this little doccumentary of you're trip. sitting at my computer and admiring brisban through you're lenses has made me see another part of this great brown and green we live on. still loveing you're videos AS always and i cant wait for you're next, no matter that content.

  • Brilliant video dude. You've inspired me to do something similar, now that I can travel, thanks to the missus being able to drive :D

  • Your personality in these videos never fails to amuse me. You're so awesome!

  • Oh cmon ...rain aint that bad....its very relaxin....cept when ya know its on flood ammount of rain >.>

  • LOL they did the same stupid thing with the bike hire here too..

And I miss just seeing lizards lying around places.. I'm guessing he was some kind of monitor lizard/goanna being that big [yet still looking quite young]

    Nice vid sweetie ^_^

  • @superficialposer I actually used to see small lizards, mostly little skinks and such, ALL the time in brizzy... they love the warm weather.

  • @Blunty3000 yeah definitely. Too cold here for awesome lizards :(

  • Great video - always nice to see the appreciation of my hometown.

Tried to get to the manabar after reading your tweets to get a photo but just couldn't make it. Next time!

  • the sound goes off at some point and it felt to me that this video should be a bluntnate, but other then that it made me feel relaxed... why is this video on this channel and not you other?

  • Did you dye your hair? It looks good.

  • nice vid blunty, heading over to bris in june for the first time, should be fun!

  • I used to live in Brisbane. Since I was three until I was five...so I don't remember it very well, but I do remember the kids I used to hang with back then XD

  • Awesome video dude.

  • Thanks for taking the time to film and post this. It was very uplifting for me.

  • Loved 34:18 blunty.

  • "I never found those big old ships very charming... that's why we have modern boats 'cause they're *better*"

  • Fantastic video! :D

  • nice vid but a few points

1 WHY IS THERE A GIANT LIZARD IN THE MIDDLE OF A PARK

2 if you think the air is clear there come to any where in Scotland

3 that amount of litter is a vast improvement to any and all Scottish city's

4 if you want to know the true meaning of scum go to " feagy" or "the barras"

  • oh darn, you allready left to return back home ... again - awesome video, deffinetly made my day a notch brighter

  • you look lonely man

  • Nate mate you are fantastic for posting this! Thanks a million for showing me around your fav place in Aus!

  • Oh Blunty! I wish I had known you were in Brisbane! I live in West End, I could have gotten something signed!

  • Before you leave please make another vid. like this ... because this was simply awesome

  • The story of the bridge that you gave was AMAZING!

  • You are so entertaining! haha I watched the entire thing. Very nice Blunty, I want to visit Australia so bad.

  • geephueygazamko I like Australia.

  • Top class :D I'd love to see more vids like these

  • Did the floods earlier this year effect your trip? *note* haven't been able to watch the whole video from 8:22 onwards

  • Hey Blunty. What ever happen to the scooter you had?

  • @troy5690 Just had it shipped to me from storage as a matter of fact.
