  • It was played in "The Grapes of Wrath"

  • Brilliant version of this great classic. I'd like the tab for this track.

  • wspaniale ,kto to wykonuje !?

  • The best rock version for this traditional music is still by Johnny & The Hurricanes, 1959. I think it so.

  • It's necessary to say: There was in Brazil excellent Rock 'n' Roll Bands (The Jordans, The Jet Black's, The Youngsters, Luizinho & seus Dinamites and many others). Unhappily, their instrumental wasn't so good than european and american. And this was a problem. Please search to hear the bands named above.

  • Sounds exactly like "The Spotnicks" version. Womder which is which.......... ;-)

  • I keep searching for The Fenders on CD's or cassettes and am not able to find anything anywhere. Does this album exist anywhere? Montana Old Goat

  • This one cool song! Thanks for sharing.

  • Leo Fender would be proud

  • this is a song from the Apaches.

the greatest coverband of the shadows.

the track is on one of their Cd's.

  • @joripiano APACHES???????????????? The original ROCK'N ROLL version was laid down by sax player Johnny Paris & The Hurricanes!!!! God almighty, where do you guys get all your info from?? Try a little research before you 'publish' any false rumours, thank you!!

  • @burnette44

This version is from the Apaches,

i have a CD ans it sounds absolutely the same...

i don't care who made the original version...

I'm sorry that i wasn't clear in what version i meant.

but this version is NOT from the Fenders....

  • @joripiano Sorry, pal, but what I was aiming at was the opening line of your comment (quote): "This is a song from the Apaches", which got me to thinking that you thought that it was a track composed by the Apaches! That's why I mentioned Johnny & The Hurricanes! We all know that originally it's an OLD hillbilly/western tune, that just begs to be 'killed' instru wise, lol! Just listen to yours truly's version & you know what I mean! Have a nice week!! Best, Hank C...

  • @burnette44

    Haha, It's ok,

i have the original song (from Johnny & The Hurricanes) on my ipod, listed in Favorites... :P

and the Apaches (Coverband of the Shadows,) have made a cover version,

so the song in this video isn't from the Fenders, but from the Apaches.

    Best, Jori v. L...

  • @joripiano Okie dokie...then we have sorted all that out! I wonder what 'tripicch' has to say about all this, ha, ha! Stay on it & Best always, Hank C...

  • @burnette44

    oh wait...

    Now i got it....

    Stupid me...

The Apaches Changed their name into the Fenders....

the Cd i have at home is from the years..... ? zero ?

its realy old, so that's why....

all the songs on youtube from the Fenders Sound Exactely the same as the songs from the Apaches...

  • @joripiano HA, HA!! If we don't stop here we might turn this into a short novel of something! Incidentally, I wonder what the boys and gals at Fender think about this? Do they really accept that a band uses a name like the Fenders as a band name? Sounds very close to a copyright infringement if you ask me! Anyway, string along, buddy and and if you don't mind I have just subbed to your channel! Best always, Hank C...

  • Sounds like a The Shadows! Good music :-)

  • I love that sound of the (steel)guitar....

  • @MaxTrevorful aint no steel guitar in there, just alot of fender telecaster twang, and alot of surf pickin.

  • @317roger : never mind, but i like all versions of Red River Rock.

Just the sound of the guitar can make me .....(You know)

  • @317roger HOLY MALONEY! If you can't distinguish a Tele from a Strat, then you might perhaps try and do a little research! The guy here is playing a STRATOCASTER! And where the heck you got 'surf pickin' from totally escapes me!! Have you ever listened to electric guitar music before? Or let alone played or even seen a guitar?? Makes me wonder...'nuff said..

  • @burnette44 keep wondering you jackass. i can surely tell the difference from a strat and a tele, and i can also play them too. not like u guitar hero twats. i own countless numbers of them you friggin douche bag. and fyi numbnutz, go look thru the old album covers and you'll see them with teles, mustangs and jazzmasters .and as far as the surf pickin goes, it falls under that category. wont bother wasting anymore words trying to educate a no nothing moron such as yourself. nuff said.

  • @317roger HA, HA, HA, HA!!!! Temper, temper, kiddo, or you might bust your breeches!! Grow up and face reality...I've been around playin' guitar since '58 (obviously ages before you even was a twinkle in your dad's left/right eye!) and know this game inside out! If you can't spot the difference in sound between a Tele and a Strat, ya better crawl back into the ground & start all over from lesson A-1 before you make a total jerk of yourself!! Good luck...

  • anytime you want a showdown, i will play any type of axe and i guarantee you wont be able to tell the difference. and btw i aint your kiddo, i've a few years on you. so let me know when you're ready for a lesson or two.

  • @burnette44 also, after you have spent 25 plus years on the road opening and also playing along side of the like likes of marty stuart, steve miller and jack cassady, then and only then may you make a judgement on me, and as far as you suggesting that i crawl back to step "A-1" . (whatever that bar band hero reference means) . i willingly invite you to our ranch in ohio to sit in with "US" and find out how much you really dont know. we love to re-educate the bar band has-beens that never were.

  • This piece of music lives on and on forever!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for posting:-)

  • Congratulaciones! Es una excelente interpretación; escucharlas con la tecnología actual sería maravilloso.

  • I'm not Spanish, but this certainly is Mucho Bueno!

  • CUCS ROMA ANNI 80..

  • esattamente stefanino coro molto significativo trall'altro perche' era dopo l'omicidio paparelli e il cucs aveva un accusa di banda armata gli era stato tolto striscioni e tamburi....

  • Candidate for my funeral music.

  • Cool, Terrier!

    Adalberto - Brazil

  • @TerrierBram Listen the Teen tops version, ten times better than this one.

The teen Tops were a Mexico City group from the early sixties with his singer Enrique Guzman.

  • @TerrierBram Ha ha ha.... :-)

  • Muy buenos estos Fenders, pero que alguien cuelgue la de Johnny & the Hurricanes, por favor...

  • try and search for a version called red river ska by bad manners it's awesome

  • Somebody gotta put the genuine piece by Johnny and the Hurricanes back in here.

Even if the Tubers should delete it after a day, it´d be worth our while!
