  • great! how did you learn this !?

  • Super playing and licks. Start posting again!

  • great!

  • is it hard to get used to the benders?

  • Wow I though Ricky played those guitar solos on 40 Blues...I wonder why he didnt? He was a killer guitar player back then as well.

  • I'm pretty sure Ray Flacke did most of Ricky's hot tele leads. Although, Ricky himself took some breaks on tele from time to time. He even has a Mandolin sized telecaster he picked called the mandocaster.

  • lmao a bad playbad dude

  • het is echt vals man

  • My bad. I misunderstood. You did a remarkable job on that. I learned the first part years ago. Still mesmerizes me how Flacke done some of the things he did. Too bad the nose candy kept him from leading the way. Once again great job.

  • I just read that article. Very cool!! Thanks a lot.

  • Hey thanks dricav1,

Ray Flack indeed played the guitarparts on those songs.

This little solo i'm playing here is actually the pedalsteel solo that comes right after the guitar solo. So it's Bruce Bouton's part.

Albert Lee did play on some Ricky Skaggs'album but not this one. I mentioned his name because my guitar is an Ernie Ball/Musicman Albert Lee model. And, i'm a big albert Lee fan:)

  • Hello telerocker5150,

    Yes, it's custom made.

I'm an Albert Lee fan and dicided that i just needed an Albert Lee signature model:), well at the same time i got very into playing b-bender. At that point i got the idea to have the Albert Lee guitar fitted with b/g benders. Bill bores from Houston did the installation. This Albert Lee guitar has a much thinner body with a bellycut so for him this was a big challenge.

  • Great job. Note for note! However, the break, according to all the info that I have, is played by Albert's friend Ray Flacke. The transcription can be found in a book Fender published called Masters of the Telecaster, which says Flacke indeed played the break in the studio. Also, it says Flacke played on Heartbroke. Not that it really matters, you still did a magnificent job.

  • Here's how to the story. Flacke was one bad dude on a Tele. Google in Guitar Player Terrifying Tele. Its

    Guitar Player article on Flacke.

  • good work.nice sounding guitar.

  • was that custom made. or can you buy that guitar with the bender?

  • Thank you all for your comments! Once i sort out how to get me some backing tracks of my favorite country stuff i will record and post more clips.
