i was at the foot of the claw on the right hand side as you look at it. we had an amazing view and could see the whole band all show. it was a magic night.

Sounds great... I'm a The Edge fan, so was very happy with the prime spot we managed to secure :)... tho sometimes wished we saw more Adam too.... and Larry without a cymbal in front of his face, lol.

Thanks!  Always happy to hear from another U2 fan. We got in to the ellipse last show and it was like nothing I have ever experienced before. Edge was two feet from us. Hoping to recreate that magic again. Glad to see and read about yours. Best!

Thanks for posting! Any advice for GA ticket holders here in the US. Tricks to getting close?

There's only one piece of advice... get there early... seriously. We didn't get there incredibly early... it was about 12.30pm and the gates opened at 5pm. Though admittedly they probably allowed another 300-400 to line up before closing the line that would likely fill the inner circle. Another points... if you don't get inner circle, you might get close to the outer circle which is equally good as you also get the woder picture of the whole claw; in the inner circle, you're under the claw.
