  • Look up "Chembuchira Shashti Part I 2009" on youtube, its the Shashti festival in Kerala, judging by the video, it has to be the largest thavil and nadaswaram gathering in all of India!

  • Because thavil is a South Indian drum, where tabla is all over India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. You have to go to Tamil Nadu or Kerala to learn thavil...
