I took lessons from Al Miller when I was a kid. He was a great teacher and instilled a love for playing drums that lives in me still. He was an awesome drummer. He had great technical skills. I wish I took more lessons with him. I do still use his books from time to time . RIP Al.

Al was incredible . I was fortunate to take lessons from him in the 80's and his teaching and guidance will stay with me forever in my drumming .

Al was my teacher, mentor, & dear friend for

many years. I owe my playing and successful

career to him. He was nice enough to intoduce me to Louie Bellson and Buddy Rich with whom he shared the stage and very equal admiration.

When we lost Al Long Island lost a true legend,

the music business lost an outstanding artist,

and those of us who studied with him carry on

in his name...Thanks for everything Al.
