So the argument of freedom for all, for whatever they want to do is, incorrectly based. Using the foundation of the constitution, homosexuality is a sin as opposed to a valid lifestyle choice, so it cannot fall under the " have a rite to " list. There must be some type of moral/ethical formula or code to govern with, and homosexuality, adultery, etc.etc. does not line up as acceptable.

Being gay is NOT a sin, nor do gay sex acts have ANY religious context of themselves.

the constitution was not intending for homosexuals to interact as they do. The marriage controversy really is, that homosexuals want to write it in as a rite to marry. It is not present now and that is why it is illegal. We have a constituion based on a fundamental creator. The fact that not all of the men who penned the document were christian, doesn't matter. Many of them were. This country is based on christian values and ethics, hence the reason for the exodus from Europe.

what I don't get is why some of teh religious lobby pick and choose which parts of the bible to believe and adhere to. teh one fact everyone knows is that the bible was written by men, politicians if you like of their time. politicians lie and make stuff up, why would the bible be any different. if Jesus had had anything to say about gays, which he didn't as far as we know, I think he would have focused on the expression of love between human beings, not the bigoted rantings of so many people.
