I watched Leo Gandelman live in St. Louis in the early 90's. It was icy and dangerous driving and hence the venue was pretty empty.

Gandelman was awesome! He laid down a funky groove and just kept it going. He could see my unbounded admiration-so he walked up to my table, pointed his sax at me, and he never moved. He played the entire set for me personally.

I've always wanted to say thank you.

Although you will see what you want to believe, if you know anything about the saxaphone - he is feigning the instrument. Sure he can vibrate that reed and hit a few notes, but look closely and you'll see. There is a third horn player lurking in all the tapes. This is pure suggestion and if when you realize it, especially after believing that he could play, you will learn something about the power of suggestion.

I do the homework by watching the video. I play sax myself. I suppose the only reason to care whether or not he played the sax is really just to determine how gullible we are as people. He pawned himself off as a professional sax player or expert quality, not as an elementary amateur player. Did you see his interview a few years back on MTV. What an artist. A real con artist.
