  • Well played, as if made of silken gossamer. Francesco has such a light touch, sense of style, elegance, and restraint--among his other excellent qualities as a pianist. Wonderful to have his two DVDs, and I look forward to more!

  • Francesco Libetta,il Principe del Pianoforte.....

  • @marzio54 che bono

  • La stessa bellezza e intimità dei Pezzi Lirici di Grieg... Una grande musicista da riscoprire, Cécile Chaminade.

  • Gorgeous touch, silky and elegant and clean.

  • When we hear one of the "greats" play Chaminade as we do here, we realize what joy this music is to play and hear. Ruffly and "lacey", perhaps, perhaps a tad feminine, but oh how wonderful. (Her etude "Automne" packs a little testosterone...)

  • Handsome ? Good Looking ? May be but who cares ? This is not what attracted me to this pice - it is the beautiful melody - lovely composition and the wonderful, superb play of this obviously great pianist.

    Many thanks !!

  • Formidablement bien joué, avec élégance, finesse, esprit, nostalgie. La belle soeur de Moszkowski avait un grand talent bien oublié ! Excellentissime pianiste !

  • I play Chaminade too! Neglected perhaps but her piano music is like a box full of precious stones.

  • Fantastic perfomance!!!

  • He's talented and good-looking as well. Italian men are really handsome! (the young ones I mean -- the old ones look smelly).

  • Anch' io !!!!

  • ti sposerei subito......

  • ...che meraviglia...bravo OK

  • ....bellissimo...bravo...!!!

  • Such artistry and beauty in one person is heartbreaking.

  • His playing is so elegant and refined. Not too shabby on the eyes either. I think I heard my heart go pitter pat.

  • Chaminade's music is so beautiful, yet tragically forgotten.

  • Forgotten by whom? I think you'll find her stuff is enormously popular in the classical world, especially the Concertino for flute and orchestra.

  • I have loved this piece since I found it in an old abandoned bin of sheet music over 25 years ago when I was a teenager. I have been a devout fan of Chaminade ever since. It warms my soul to see it being played. I only wish I could play it as well as Mr. Libetta.

  • Exquisite. Sublime playing. He makes the piano sing like so few can.

  • The problem is he skates over where should be well shaped and projected phrases.

  • Mmmm...and why is that a problem? He plays all music according to the way he feels at any given time. The good thing is that he's talented enough to do it his way. For instance, when it comes to Chopin's Revolutionary etude, he does it all with just the left hand. Sure it's different, but it's still good.

  • @desertdawg41 that was godowskys study on chopins etude so do a lot of pianists play it because it was written this way see hamelin

  • amazing piece, pianist and piano!

  • very nice playing and good Fazioli piano tone

  • He's always wonderful to hear - and see.

  • Greetings from the Pacific Coast of Canada. Very lovely - thanks for sharing.
