They would have never said that, of course, if they were still living there because their lives are constantly threatened. Arab does not=Islam. That statement is beyond patently absurd. There were Arab Christians, and Jews, living in Arabia prior to the founding of Islam. Arabs are an ethnic group, not a religion. Incidentally, the preponderance of people that are considered Arabs today are not historical Arabs.
