oh cool, that would work perfect for me, as my 412 runs at 16ohms.. You should be careful running a 16ohm speaker out into an 8 ohm cab, you could blow the amp's tranny.
@metalmusiqcrzy This is the normal channel of the Soldano SLO. For your music, you probably need more gain. With an external pedal you might get there.
Hi, Jonny. I see this combo going for like 1250 bucks new. Is it worth it? The prices vary a lot from dealer to dealer. I even saw a used unit for 1400.
Great, helpful demo of what an amp can sound like. Nice, sensitive playing helps, of course. I guess this is what you're trying to show in the demo, but just to make: With the preamp and master cranked pretty hard for small gigs, can you still get a decent clean tone by rolling down the guitar volume?
Unfortunately this amp does not have a lot of clean headroom. Rolling the volume down with the preamp around 9 o'clock, there is still a little bit hair on the output. Fortunately, I like my cleans with a little bit of hair. If you are looking for a pristine clean, nope this amp does not have it.
what's the ohm rating for the extension cab output?

The Avatar 2x12 is 8ohm. The Astroverb16 output is designed for 16ohm cab but it doesn't have any problem driving the 8ohm cab.

I talked to Mike Soldano himself about this and he said its not a problem with the impedance mismatch.

Wolfgangs come in two model, the standard (archtop ) and the special. The special is the cheaper version and has only one knob (volume).
The combo speaker sounds decent but it pales in comparison to the 2x12 cab.
