  • Sounds like a 60s tune!

  • Willie Brown is playing second guitar with Charlie. You can hear the treble string slide of the first guitar at the same time as the second guitar alternates bass and treble strums commencing about 1:25.

  • Best Blues channel on YouTube. Thanks.

  • That's just incredible.. Thanks for posting!

  • one of my favourites of charley's

  • I had no idea that Patton did a "Sittin On Top of the World" style tune, that's awesome. Whenever I'm looking for a blues song, I always check your list first. You have everything! This makes sense that Patton recorded this though, as I believe he was once in a string band with the Chatmons, if memory serves me correctly. Great stuff anyways!

  • @comeoninmykitchen82 Recorded in the same year as the original version by the Mississippi Sheiks.

  • Great to hear this. I remember hearing a bluegrass version of "Sittin On Top Of the World" years ago- the Louvin Brothers maybe..? and of course - Howlin Wolf's version as we all know! hehe! Patton had somethin that nobody else had. Magical stuff. 5 big ***** thanks!
