This is the most Beautiful cockpit for me , as it has glass and analog instruments together and it looks very nice and proper and what i love the most about it that it's the only airbus that has manual control wheel NOT the fly by wire , This is my favorite airplane , I LOVE IT .
@bajesus666 yes it does the a310 also has one those two were the last classic airbuses after the a318 all airbus aircraft had a sidestick and fly by wire
The A300 is the only true 2 engine freighter! The A330F sucks, and so does the 777F. They are designed to be passenger airliners, not freighters! Go A300F, MD-11F & 747-400ERF!
the a310 also got one, but the 310 is an a300 with a shorter fuselage, since the 320 family started, every airbus is delivered with flybywire and and sidestick
I think eventually all planes will have sidesticks, they save a lot of space. I personally have no preference but the sidestick seems to have more positives.
I don't know. I'm not a pilot so I don't have any experience but my gut instinct is that if you are not very good at using your left hand for sophisticated movements then that could be a handicap for a captain when steering an aircraft. The same goes for left-handed F/Os regarding their right hand.
Hey Cool, the Capt giving the comments is Cpt. Serge Engel a nice shap I have flown with many times we Belgians are all nice, the Airbus filmed here is the TF-ELW A300-600ERF flying under AF6594 (Air France ) routes from CDG- to TUN-OUA and the first accents your hear ( rrrrrrrrrrotate ) is Icelandic the Capt at the beginning is Baldur Valdimarson.
Nice Video there Serge, hoop dat ik jou well en van deze dage tegen komt ergens op grond of in een cockpit ;-)
I second to that mate.... todays Airbuses are completely shifting to fly-by-wire... I really miss the analog instrumentation on commerc. aircraft.. and the other thing would be Flight Engineers... miss them a lot...
Your probably right, but once the baby boomers retire and more room is made for our generation, we were trained to fly the magenta line so we dont know any better, ok anyone can VFR fly using a chart, but technology and times are changing, new generation pilots besides being everything else now have to be systems analysts and IT technicians. Its the eveolution of aviation. Who knows a 1 pilot flight deck in the futur?
yea, I will hate to see the day when computers take over completely and no pilot is needed, even in emergencies they would be controlling the plane from computers =(

Well, it is actually easier than it seems as far as using the left hand to fly. The hardest part about flying the heavies is learning all the systems
