its nice but i hzve a question, ive only used fast cars but i just built my first crawler, when i put the integy 55 in it sounds like its grinding gears or something, i took the motor out and the motor still made the noise, is it just because its a sllower motor? or is it not supposed to
cool but i heard that there was a problem with running the sidewinder in that if you didnt have a good top notch motor the drag break would not work or at least not as good i have the 55t integy and i see you do too so how is your experiance with that? another thing is does it have a manuel setup or do you need 100% the castle link for pc? let me know and thanks for the reply
yeah I am using a 55t brushed motor but want to switch to a Holmes Hobbies 1000kv brushless then i can use the brushless feature. the 55t integy works good but does not hold on steep hills, it also has a manual setup but the castle link is better.
alright thanks a bunch man, you been a lot of help and by the way your vids are awesome and you have some of the best scale rigs ive seen i love your LR3 that thing looks sick did u use the new bright LR3 body or custom? but thanks again
hey very nice crawler and very nice design love the design. hey wat motor do you use? i plan to get a crawler style motor to power the tipping on a dump truck im making.
i just purchased an edge chassis for my axial and saw your vid what rate springs are you running and what weight oil are you using. I am trying to take some of the guess work out of dialing in the suspension due to my daily crawling habit and i am not looking for any down time with the crawler, if you could help it would be appreciated thanks man
yeah it raised the COG a bit but it is worth it. I mean It is a scale truck now and on it's way to becoming even more scale so it can crawl GREAT but not as well as a crawler. So it has a very low center of gravity but yes the body does at to the top weight as a real trucks body would.
I made it out of some scrap metal with holes in it. They where some old computer drive bay covers. Thanks for your inquiry, Just use your imagination. :O)
O and no they didnt comve with the kit... All the pannels on my truck where hand made using aluminum for the hood and sides. The panels that you can buy from TCS that go with the chassis are ok. They are clear flexible plexi glass like stuff. you can apply any decals you wanted on them. I chose to make mine out of metal and paint them. it is all personal choice. But like I said.
go wild with the imagination haah! have a good one
those where lights i made using valve stem covers (bullet type aluminum) from Auto Zone. I drilled 2 holes one for a screw and the other for the LED wires to go through. Then just dug up some old computers at my work and removed the LED lens. but I am sure you can make something else just as cool
Hi Bud yeah I took the springs off the outside and put some internal springs on the inside under the piston and used the stock rubber part on the topof the piston inside the cap to set the ride hight.
Check out the crawler store for the internal springs.

stevensx14 2 years ago
hmm it should not make that noise.
maybe take it apart and check to make sure everything is ok?
or take it back and exchange it for another one.

Very nice truck, but if u do comps go with the rear straight axle setup. Less play, more predictable movement. Also, the Rock Lizard tires are trash!
sdwilliams777 2 years ago
PS im not tryin to be a jerk, these upgrades are seriously worth it!
sdwilliams777 2 years ago
i know all of that.
I actualy do not compete and I no longer have this RC together. I changed it into my LR3 land rover scaler!

i take ispiration from you!!!!!
i add a video....
rulof87 3 years ago
Your video is ok, but you know you can just buy that chassis I have and it is made out of metal and not plastic PVC?
Also that idea for your tires how does that work? It looks like they will just fall off the side. Nothing holding them on secure.??
If you want some real spikes, just put some tacs through the tire from the inside. Or some screws. that would be good for ICE as well.
bdaddy23 3 years ago
I know that I can buy it...
but I imagine that is too much heavy in metal.
the wheels with more grip in the photographies seem the are falling but are good attacked with metallic hooks .
thanks of the answer..
