@bongpotsmoker agreed about evey thing else u said just not the math and physics part all you have to know are your colors and #1-10000 its extremely simple. The minimum, typical and maximum voltage vary between each color, as does the forward current (green is 30 mA, red and yellow are 50 mA). Ohms law helps a 9 volt battery only need 1.5volts and as you have to control the current through each i
maplin electronics igot one there yesterday and i wasnt in the mood for doing it and i did it and i fucked up the board coz i didint have snips and i pulled at the solder and the contact on the board broke in 7 diffrent places on tht board so i used all the parts for somthing else
ok now u did that make a HD3870X2

are resistors optional?
shitpickle1128 3 years ago
No.If you wont put resistors then leds will burn and your result = not working :)
I just dont know what resistors he uses. For get the right resistors u need to know math and fisics.

@bongpotsmoker fisics...lol

so 30ma x 1.5v = 250ohms.

can u use electrical tape instead of soldering? cuz im not to sure about soldering cuz i might burn my finger or something...

how will u burn ur finger if a solder is so long?

can u super glue it instead of soldering?
xCYBERKIDx 4 years ago
no, super glue does not conduct electricity.
earlofeastjurong 4 years ago
Actually....you're wrong!
You CAN glue instead of solder... It is a new type superglue that dries very quickly, and it can lead electricy.
nordemoniac 3 years ago
I would always use solder. It is already used for very long and still it is probably the best.

well some types of SMT use some sort of paste but you have to heat it

laboratoryf 4 years ago
velleman makes these kits. They are pretty cheap and range from led flickering christmastrees to remotes to car amplifiers. Google: velleman.
