  • I like how they say computer games are putting us off and show us Tekken footage?

Since Tekken, I've been wanting to learn Akido and Jin's Martial Arts style (I'm aware Jin's is Fiction)

  • easy, anyone hu can do a two finger pushups can do a 1 inch punch

  • /watch?v=kBUiVklbtN0 our friend with adhd torrets. more videos to come/ documentery

  • Samurai Champloo song ending... love it!! :D

  • see, I don't mind the scientific backing of the force of a well thrown punch. But I'm not buying whatever mysticism the one inch punch is about. I put my ass in a punch and if the kinetic link with the proper footwork connects, I'm dealing damage.

  • impetus theory

  • Full-length video at FullDocumentary [dot] com

  • No matter how much I look on Youtube I cannot find a proper 'One inch punch' every video I have seen they pull back an inch after already holding their hand 3-4 inches away making it a 4-5 inch punch and in most cases a push. Has anyone seen a 'Zero inch' Punch not push?

  • @KrissKrossWillMakeYa Well obviously a punch IS a push with your fist. I agree it's obnoxious how people always pull back first, but if you decrease the velocity it'll cause a slower reaction in the target. which'll make it look 'pushier'. haha

  • If the students get that far...

  • bows after watching(never taking my eyes off my opponent)

  • ENTER THE DRAGON

  • I have never heard so much BS at one time in any video: "you can rupture their spleen, damage their liver." Jesus... The saddest part is that these guys believe this nonsense!

  • @wrathVchild

Ur a special too, I never seen so much bs in ur post.

Impact punches like one inch punch is quite common in all marital arts. Try and be more open minded before you shows ur ignorance in full force. Some may not be able to handle the sheer noobness of ur post.

  • @wrathVchild you are fucking retarded.

  • @wrathVchild and I've never heard so much BS in one comment. Let me guess you like Muay Thai? I wouldn't call this a 'one inch punch' because its more like a '4 inch push' but the power is there and it is real.

  • Tht Chingo is feeding CRAP. He can't even break my dik....likewise I can blow off the candle just by a FART.... Hahaaa

  • @kushlife7 I want to see you fart by a candle, put it on you tube LOL!

  • what bruce is doing is putting his chi (aka in strenght) in is hand and wrist

  • I have been a smoker and coach potato all my life, I became very ill. But with the power of Chinese medicine and Chi, I lived. Just after a western medicine heart and lung transplant. :P

  • RIP Bob Marley.

  • Feels good to have a Culture & History over Centuries.

  • Fucking Nerds...

  • nujabes and fat jon just forget @6:29 great way 2 end it.

  • 1 inch dick owners

  • Flicking your wrist turning extending and dropping your body weight.

  • Bruce Lee was the greatest fighter ever! Now 5 people have said it...

  • 2:30 --Kung Fu Breast Exam

  • I prefer the one inch bullet.

  • the outro music from samurai champloo

  • Bruce lee didn't put his total power in that punch, if he did the guy would be more injuried than he would be in a car crash

  • how does he have so much power?

  • @snaketattoo13

    You sir, are an idiot.

  • Its all fun and games until a slanteye comes in with their chi and extorted powdered freeze dried lizards and lion shit to ruin everything with long dead folk medicine

  • The thing every one of these martial arts 'experts' miss is the psychological discipline involved in training your body. I choose not to train mine as I'm far more interested in finding out how things work; science and computers. I respect people like Bruce Lee for their philosophies. It's not about what you do, it's about how you do it and why.

  • I wish i had a teacher who could help me i was interested in this since i was 5

  • Why do they keep playing bad, old movie clips? Do they expect us to believe those are real fight scenes?

  • @wjaiv because there's no HD video cameras back then? did you think of that? youtube only started out with 240p and 360p videos about 5 years ago - quite average/ bad quality videos we'd say by todays standards.

    Bruce died in 1973.

now imagine what the camera technology was for television broadcasts (Very different from movie film camera technology) was back then, when Bruce was still alive.

  • you're all wrong a friend mine hit me with a one inch punch on lunch break its all about the chi it was like electricity transferred from him to me and i fell

  • Its all in the hip. And the key to surviving this punch is don't stand inch from Bruce's fist.

  • Wrist Strength i already have to much of that....

  • @SpinnCinema probably cuz you beat your meat so much lol

  • @SpinnCinema No, thats forearm strength.... i have it too

  • Fat white fucks shouldn't be teaching any type of martial arts unless they where fucken beast in their earlier yrs, nd let themselves go since then.

  • This was one of the first lessons I was taught!

  • more the one inch dick pull

  • I pefected the one inch punch :)

the other day i demonstrated it on a freind and colapsed his right lung :O

  • swifty brought me

  • As you can see in this video and as I've said for years to many who think that Bruce Lee invented it..he did not as it's been part of wing chun, shaolin and some other gung-fu systems for centuries and millennia. In wing chun you must be able to split open rocks at six inches. This is normal because wing chun is a southern style which specialize in short range, close quarters fighting. So being able to generate power from 1/2, 1, 3 inches and more was common. It's also in Monkey style, etc..

  • 1 inch push

  • I just 1 inch punched my face...

  • @shwoppa

    Duuude

  • what movie is at 4:44

  • @TheHaloChief117 4:44 is from Mad Monkey Kung-Fu. One of the best Gung-fu movies ever made.

  • 1:22 that was way more than an inch

  • You just have to yell SCHZAM! and punch!

  • The "one in punch" has evolved into much more than this video relates. The Ishryu or Uriryu One Inch Punch has amazed me with the power it can deliver.

  • The film at 2:28 is called "Warriors Two" and it shows technique about Wing Chun!

  • Thumbs up if you searched documentaires -__-

  • Loved this video, I am a Wing Chun practitioner and use the "One Inch Punch" as it is called to improve my form and focus. Also, I would love to meet some of the people interviewed in this video, the sheer amount of knowledge these people possess is something I only aspire to.

  • DAMN how's the name of the movie at 2:28!?!?! -_- i need to know...

  • Hahaha, what a bunch of morons the one inch punch is a fraud .lol !

  • @Garrikpz ya almost as much a fraud as that xiaou clown. do u believe there r people who believe in this shit.. even worse that loser xiaou actually told me there were people who can "knock out and even kill without touching" I kid you not.

  • The One Inch Punch...

    AKA

    The push.

  • @Riftenz not really a push it does hurt

  • @AmericanPowerBase ya i'm not thumbs upping

  • i can only know someone back with this :/

  • awesome video! The masters and instructors being interviewed knew what they were talking about. I liked the one sifu's explanation of the internal vs. external approach, that was right on! I have good skill in the Beng fist method of the Xingyi system, I love practising that one inch punch on my friends and classmates! Thumbs up!

  • Martial Arts teaches you the hurt somebody 1 inch away.

Marines teach you to kill from a mile away.( I'm training for the marines)

Both respectable approaches to a art form

  • @namybot takes me 9 seconds to run 60 meters. with that in mind, try to reload at 30 meters when a guy is running at you with a knife.. im glad they teached me close combat in the army, which is something you probably will have to learn to ^^

  • @oaaserud I am training for the RMC. We learn everything related to killing people in the quickest and quietest manner possible, I'm sure I will get around to it :)

    You American or British?

  • @namybot Im Norwegian =)

  • @oaaserud What is the military service called in Norway.

  • @namybot mmmhhhmmm no swipe no eat?

  • @namybot didnt quite understand your question, the military service? i you could give me an example in English i would be glad to translate =)

  • @oaaserud Well,us British marines are known as a "commando"

What would a Norwegian marine be known as?

  • @namybot marines = "sjø forsvaret". which actually means ocean defence, and we got air defence and the army on land - "Hæren".

our marines arent called anything specific, but we do got diffrent commando groups, which are "special OPS" teams in diffrent of our land, sea and air deffences, these are called "Jegere", translation of that is "Hunter"

hope this made it clearer =)

  • @oaaserud Cool : )

  • @namybot Guardians of Argaard

  • @LENO0X suck my dick

  • it's so effective that even floyd mayweather used it on ortiz.

oh wait that was a SUCKER punch, u know, a REAL punch that can pwn.

    not myth or fantasy

  • oh god he really tried to blame video games. I guarantee you given five more minutes he would have started comparing the uprising of media to Hitler.

  • kimbo slice got KO from a 1 inch punch

  • Mind over matter will help you succeed, not strength. Easier said than done...

  • 5:02 oh wow fat tits can split wood along the grain .. cmon

  • ey Be ready to jump to the world full of pleasure

  • i would want to train evryday if there's a master out there dat will train me.but this days,i really cant tell where & how u to find a master. i realy love kung fu :)))

  • this video reminds the dislike of his one inch dick punch

  • Samurai Champloo music at the end makes my heart smile

  • GHJOOGLE.COM <------ watch DOCUMENTARIES ONLINE

  • probrally the dislike is the person who been hitted by the inch punch

  • if somebody intercepts my punch... PUH POOM!

  • @ElephantRage lol

  • How many people were sitting at their computer thinking "Yeh those losers sitting infront of their computers just watching videos.... oh wait, shit."

  • I LOVE HOW WE ARE THOS PPL THAT "SIT AROUND IN FRONT OF THER COMPUTERS" HAHAHAH

  • @AresTherapy hi Elvis

  • 491 people that dislike either can't do the one inch punch, or they rather use guns to do the job. They dun appreciate Chinese Kung Fu, until one they need it.

  • that will guy demonstrating the one inch punch at like 1:22 pulled it back like 3 inches before impact what a fucken idiot

  • @danieltaggert01 - like anything, if u dont use it often & keep up the regular training, u lose it. Loss of power, loss of acceleration, loss of ability to get the needed split-second timings. As such, you will need more distance to make up for the lackings. However, if this is the case, u should state it as such, or be considered a fraud. (which he may still be. Theres no real way to know, till u get hit by him, as Fajin power isnt seen.. only felt)

  • i practice this daily, or variations of it, today at school a kid thought it would be funny to his my throat cuz he knows I'm sensitive there, i did a one inch punch, or variation, to his jaw and put him on his ass.

  • a easy magic trick pshhh

  • Most here get it; this is a demostration of how much power can be generated in such a tight space. Now think of all the possibilities in which this would be useful.

  • wat r these movies in this documentary other than kill bill?

  • If asian martial arts will be learned properly as taught in asia by occidentals like the big americans and europeans asian martial arts practitioners will more or less lost to the big caucasians. Weapon martial arts is the one that can equalize us from the caucasians whether it be katana, bolo, knife, firearms and even sticks because the smallness of asians can have an edge for us against very big guys.

  • cheers for this

  • That song towards the end was used in Samurai Champloo, i think the artist's name is Nujabes.

  • tekken!

  • more like the one inch push

  • 'Documentary'...when 50% of the footage is from old Shaw Brothers movies and 'theoretical discussions'. Pablum for LARPers.

  • The fall of popularity with martial arts is due to the fact that people are beginning see much of the bullshit behind it. Chi, death touch, all the useless movements and exaggerated claims a lot of these people make are only seen in movies. After decades, the prime example people point to is Bruce Lee, but if you think about it, he was a mixed martial artist more than anything. He took the best of every fighting style and made it his own, leaving out the dogmas and bias. Like grown ups.

  • @DiabloFenatic - Lee was good at what he learned, because he perfected things using traditional methods. But,Lees depth of Chinese arts knowledge was very limited 2beginner lvl stuff. That was enough2get him very far,but not so far as 2b an expert authority on its effectiveness.Nor 2bable2decide what was best in an art he had no real clue about.Much of the BS u speak of,isnt BS.Its just that ur clueless2its real meanings. Many things such as 'CHI', are misinterpretations.Chi isnt magic energy.

  • @DiabloFenatic - Chi is shortform 4an in-depth explanation of things not easy2explain nor see. They call such arts Internal, because lots of what goes on isnt seen externally.(cant easily C how much weight is on a leg,or if abs r fully tightened).Deathtouch, isnt a touch. Its a very quick strike, that Looks more like a touch.Such as a fingerStrike2an organ/vessel,using a not so well known delivery method called Fajin (explosive power).Able2delver more mass&power in less time units.(ruptures things)

  • @DiabloFenatic - Fall in popularity/usage,is cause its no longer needed as way of life.It was required back 1000yrs ago in China,if u wanted 2survive longer. & 2b good &effective at it,it takes Many yrs of hard work. Most ppl today cant wait 2days4a package, let alone wait 1yr 4some martial knowledge+the major effort required2attain it.PPL want it fast&now, but w/ that comes losses&we C these losses as failures, when ppl try 2fight without being fully prepared thru proper traditional training.

  • @xiaou2

First off, most martial arts were developed for the army, criminal gangs (clans) and for the weak (women, elderly). Later on it would transition to the public. For your second point, yes, it is true that it takes many years and practice to become skilled with it, along with anything else. That being said, I've trained with many black belts who are no more able to defend themselves than anyone else.

  • Anyone in this comments thread using "u" or "ur" as words is instantly disqualified from being able to produce a valid opinion on the subject of punching power. Or life, in general.

  • @MrCyUngle ur wrong

  • @MrCyUngle - The use of Short-form words in replies, does not necessarily note lack of intelligence and depth of knowledge. Its used because of the limitations of the number of characters which can be typed in as a reply. Furthermore, physical power doesnt have to related to intelligence at all.& life experience again, no relation to spelling.ur harsh judgment also shows that u have no tolerance,understanding,patience..etc. Basically, it means that ur failing in life. very much unenlightened.

  • what movie is that from at 4:44?

  • Comment removed

  • i rewinded 2:22 6 times to figure out which hand knocked the wood out... daym

  • This was an excellent vid

  • xiaou2... snaketattoo13... how about you two set up a time and a place and fight it out or STFU. Words aren't going to knock anybody out unless they fall asleep listening to your circle jerk arguments. You are both idiots and any idols/mentors you have would just want to beat your ass into the ground out of pure disgust. This world is tearing itself apart and when the shit hits the fan I am going to be laughing my ass off when people like you two test their fists against an assault rifle.

  • Its funny that ppl think that KF dont have strong long range strikes.Think about it, if u can hit 10x harder in 4" distance than any mma/boxer... what do you think will happen when u have a longer runway?! = ) Short range power is Maximized reaction speed, acceleration, efficiency, and striking with more mass at impact. Short range mastery = superior long range ability. However, w/ short range power, u rarely need 2use slower telegraphed long range strikes.

  • MMA is "mixed martial arts". It wouldn't exist without the martial arts that it mixed. Bruce Lee was a huge proponent of mixing martial arts. I really don't get why MMA meatheads want to belittle him. He helped your sport to exist morons... He made movies, so he profiled entertaining moves for entertainment. Makes sense to me. Could he beat up everybody who ever lived? No, but neither can anyone else, there is always a bigger fish. What is the point of arguing this shit? He's dead, get over it.

  • I wouldn't blame computers for the fall in popularity of martial arts. I thinks it's more the fact that we don't need melee combat for national defence any more. Good luck trying to 1-inch punch a battleship.

  • @nikanj One of the most hilarious and true comments I have ever read. My hat is off to you sir.

  • @nikanj i would still blame computer cuz it made us not wanting to put exercising as our first priority tho . and btw, back in that age long ago, even during peace times, they still practice it, and don't tell me you don't need melee anymore, cuz wth do you think the black ops , the seal do during a stealth mission? ... melee combat are alway used , no matter when.

  • @nikanj this is why anime exist

  • @nikanj "Good luck trying to 1-inch punch a battleship."

    You missed the point completely.

  • @tkathryyn

    Yeah probably.

  • @tkathryyn Assault Rifles? Good luck shooting down a battle ship!

Forget these guys, they are faggots.

  • @GamerJelly You guys keep missing the point. All you think is muscles..typical male ego. That's why you lost in Vietnam. You americans fought with muscles where it was pointless in the jungle..lawl.

  • @nikanj ok, then good luck trying to bring a battleship at a school or street fight...

  • @FuckFatGayHomoGinger

Probably best to avoid those anyway. All it takes is one gun to trump a decade of studying martial arts. Martial arts today is a sport, its more about training you discipline than it is about self defence.

  • @FuckFatGayHomoGinger

Probably best to avoid those anyway. All it takes is one gun to trump a decade of studying martial arts. Martial arts today is a sport, its more about training you discipline than it is about self defence.

  • @nikanj Are you retar--- You know what.. forget it..

  • @nikanj COD much?

  • What's all this bs knowledge here, it's YouTube just watch the dayum video .-.. Btw xiaou2 ur training sounds awk, I took taek won do, oh the irony I'm Korean, I understand training but the Shiz u do just make u look like a wannabe.

  • @dfishf - TKD? U probably only trained ur 45min class, 3x a week right? Well my KF classes were 2hrs,&I took day+night class=4hrs a day,4days a week. Then, Id drill, exercise, spar, punch/kick sandbags, all during the day, and night, before and after class, 7days a week. I Probably did more training in 3yrs, than you have done in 12. Want 'is' the key. I wanted superior progress,& I got it, by efforts above and beyond the typical joe citizen.

  • @xiaou2 u say u did classes 4 hrs a day.. where? name who u trained with..

  • The disrespect to any "martial artist" and Bruce Lee is a legend but MMA is the future!

  • @Gruffington31

MMA is the future? the sport MMA?

The sport MMA sucks lol. It's a competition.

  • @copperkipper1 What I mean by my comment is that more young people are being drawn to MMA. Not only watching it on TV but also training in it. The traditional Martial arts will be gone in the future or will have a very small amount of practitioners due to their appeal diminishing. And by the "future" I mean not in our lifetime.

  • @Gruffington31 MMA is fucking shit i never see a good standing up fight in it all the do is get you to the floor its pathetic

  • @OriginaIIy For me fighting on the floor is a chess match and very exciting to watch..... I suppose if you were severely retarded and knew nothing about jujitsu then it would seem that way.

  • @Gruffington31 i would rather watch boxing myself than mma

  • @OriginaIIy your obviously not a fight fan! lol

  • @OriginaIIy how? i know mma is a mix of many different things but to me it doesnt look like they use those things ...just trying to floor someone and holding them down and hitting them

  • @OriginaIIy Have fun

  • thats what happens when ur a student of ip Man

  • funny he did this one inch punch as I sleep with my girl with 1 inch every night

  • What's the name of the movie in the screenshot?

  • Fake, there is no such thing as a one inch punch. Lang leven Amsterdam

  • Hey, thanks for uploading this? to the internet for free. I greatly appreciate it

  • wats the movie at 5:34

  • keep pressing 4

  • The old Shaolin Temple was decorated w/ many valuables. Bandits/Theives would attack&steal often. The monks had to develop the arts well,2protect themselves,&the treasures. This development lead2some of the most groundbreaking fighting sciences ever produced.Sadly, theReal Shaolin was burned down+inactive4over100yrs.Much of the knowledge lost 4ever.Some other Chinese styles however, contain various parts of it+unique developments of their own.

  • Need understood how in the world this couls be done 0_0

  • how about we all stop being keyboard warriors and just watch this and get a good laugh!

  • @6ookstazz - &yeah, this technology done correctly (non-demo version), can take a life at less than 4" distance. I was using it to KO fighters w/under 15% power,6" distance2the forehead w/mma gloves on. I had a JKD demo guy do it2me, I barely moved at all,but my chest burned as if on fire,4hrs long! Felt like a cannonball. Id been kicked off the ground by TKD kicks,&that was baby power compared2the Inch power of that guy. Its no laughing matter, when done right. The ultimate in striking technology

  • @xiaou2 hey moron xiaou... little secret for u... techniques r not technology u fucking tool.. 4 inch punch is not technology..

and all the scientific tests done on strikes show wc to be the weakest of all strikes.. let me gues some how those scientific tests done fairly and equally were flawed and favoured other strikes.. lmfao.. ur such a bitch

  • @snaketattoo13 - The test were BS, & not done by Fajin masters, nor with accurate methods. Even the guy who didnt know it correctly, was the smallest guy, didnt take a step in like the others, had the fastest non-telegraphic strike, with the most power for his size in the shortest distance. Yet the Idiots ignored such basic data as comparing fighters mass. Stupidity at its best, and u, being a moron, at it all up. :)

  • @xiaou2 oh the tests were flawed.. lmfao.. ok.. but they simply saw who hit the hardest and who hit the weakest. now who hit the weakest again? that is right the fucking loser kung fu clown. weak weak weak. yet u say that some masters r more devestating then getting shot by a gun.

i do agree however size makes a difference. that is why no kung fu master in the entire world can hit as hard as tyson in his prime.. not even close. simple science.. but thank you for pointing that out

  • @snaketattoo13 I would only say Tyson hits hard in terms of brute force, the energy is dumped onto the impact zone. In contrast, a expert martial artist is trained to control finesse and divert that energy to the organs.

In other words, Tyson can punch a whole through my chest, but a gung fu master can cause my heart to fail and leave only a small bruise on my chest. Same ending, different approach.

  • @Tattybojan9les you watch to many movies. sorry if one stands still and allows another to focus and strike with the known distance etc a punch can be maximized in every way. however when fighting a good fighter they move, in and out. the close distance and move away. Thus one can not, ever, rely on such paramiters to strike. That has always been the reason boxers r far far far better strikers then any martial art.... its masters of distance, angles and applying. not silly demos!
