  • that is soooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We've been feeding our Danes raw for nearly 9yrs now.

We do feel it is better for them.

1st we know what our dogs are eating and they take benefit from this diet.

2nd we didn't have to worry about pet food recalls or chances in formulas.

  • @6stardanes Haha! dogs actually eat grass (or in this case, hay...) because they would eat the stomachs of wild prey, containing grass. but bottom line about dog nutrition (based on TONS of reaserch), dogs are carnivores. They eat meat, you dont see wild dogs eating corn or wheat... So logically when a domestic dog is fed more meats than grain they would seem to be healthier... =D

  • @MaggiesShowJumping

The amount of stomach contents (hay/grass/etc) that a wild canine would eat is often minimal due to them shaking the stomach out prior to ingestion. Even dogs given large sections of green tripe (unclean/unbleached stomach of prey animals) tend to shake it before eating it. I am familiar with raw green tripe as we do feed it to our dogs as well as meat, bones & organs.

  • The Great Dane thinks hes a horse ! I bet a steak in front of him, he would go back to being a dog !

  • The Great Dane, Rooster, does get raw meats and bones every day.

  • What lucky dogs...I have 3 Great Danes...There a laugh a minute!..But no horse...

  • @Uwiluz60 Our two lab retrievers also get a "raw diet". And it is better for them, where as otherwise you could be feeding your dog "beef by-products". It also helps to create healthier and shinier coats as well as stronger teeth, because naturally this is what your dog would eat(if he was surviving in the wild) and is over all much better than processed dog food. You can also change the diet of eat dog slightly depending on the dog's specific needs, but with regular food, it's pretty standard.

  • @myluckyshamrock94 We have two great Danes..One 11 and the other 7...Our male died last year he was 12..They are the greatest dogs.
