  • In Australia, the NVIDIA card is $800 more expensive, so the AMD is the obvious choice...

  • Thx bro

I've just ordered one with nvidia sli 580m

  • which one has a beeter image quality ati or nvidia ?

  • I don't care about fps but i want to know which one has the best graphics and colors ?

  • Dude.. you are using a i7-2760qm gtx 580m with ssd compared to the i7-2720qm amd 6990 with hdd.. stop giving the customers the wrong advice.. amd radeon is better than the nvidia in terms of performance, power consumption and temperature...

  • @phao9203 blah

  • My frien, you need SSD in the 2 machines to do a best comparation :D

  • with PhisX it looks better

  • Were you testing with the batteries inside or directly from the AC adapter?

  • 2 Words: Rich Fucker..

  • does the gtx 580m has the same power as a gtx 580 (not m)? if not how much better is the other one?

  • Muy bien con los test, pero, para que de verdad se pueda realizar una comparación las configuraciones o sistemas deben ser identicos no se por que se molestan en hacer tonterias.

  • this is bullshit , try real games

  • do not game with lap tops they are useless til 2017

  • @lloodyMurda just your own opinion? -.-

  • so which is better

  • -_- you have 2 Alienware M18x 2 how...HOW I TELL YOU

  • WOW what game are you using to show this demo.

  • wow I alt tabbed and forgot about this for so long then at 8:30 I shit my pants.

  • why does the green one seem bigger than the red one

  • thanx so much this helped big time, was going back and forth between the two for the longest for straight gaming purposes, but after this vid def going with the 580m for my GL

  • one on the right looks better

  • ALL THESE BENCHMARKS DONT MEAN SHIT...IN THE END AMD LOOKS ALWAYS BETTER...THAT'S WHAT MATTERS NOT A 3-5 FPS DIFFERENCE

  • hmmm.. you should try to use Intel GMA HD too for perfect bencmark ..

  • wow, looking at second test, so glad I went with my nvidia 580m =D

  • the nvidia machine was a little bit smoother when it was running the second last test than the amd machine

  • And you got these how....

  • man... i have a m18x 6990m crossfire ,i7 2860qm 2.5 and it is not working well idk why...like the game black ops is lagging a LOT! when i look at the video cards on the gpu-z one is saying pci-e 2.0 x 16 @ x8 2.0 while the other one pci-e 2.0 x 16 @ x8 1.1....i have all the new drivers and the bios is the same as yours... plz help me!

  • Great vid... i went the duel 6990m in my rig purely due to the price-performance ratio was more in favour for the radeon....

And yes the m18x is an absolute beast... having mine for 4-5 months now.. its never missed a beat.

  • @pat103196 id like to see you carry ur full gaming desktop to a lan party

  • 2 PEOPLE HAS INTEL HD3000

  • ok i just want to know which is better, alienware, asus, msi or origin?

  • Wow.....what i'd give to have one of those monsters......

  • Green keyboard for nvidia, red keyboard for amd

  • U HAVE 2 OMG :3

  • cant wait to see part 2 im looking at thes setups

  • ssd in the nvidia makes the diffrence, it's been demonstrated that the SSD boosts gaming performance (i've done unigine tests by myself) of 7/10% :P

  • laptop sux end of discussion

  • for such a small difference, amds cheaper price is much better lol

  • Ti tell you the truth, they look the same. I ordered a Dell XPS 8300 12GB ram i7 processor and an AMD Radeon 6870... Getting it soon :)

  • amd and dell needs to work out the driver issue that there haveing with there mobile cards...if anyone is wondering which card to use get nvidia chip for mobile, amd sux ass...i have the r2 m17x and amd drivers bsod the laptop and we are still playo\ing on year old drivers for dell...dells say's that there is nothing that they can do about it...don't believe me google it...nvidia rules in the mobile department forshure...

  • Hi, thanks for these videos, I'm struggling to choose between the Dell Alienware M18x and the Dell Precision M6600. The Precision comes with a Quadro 4000m graphics card and has a RGB LED Screen 1920x1080. The Alienware has crossfire graphics cards like the ones you tested here. The Alienware does not have an RGB screen, however it does have 3D where the Precision does not. Any tips and advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

  • @bhfireblade

Both are very different systems. One is a workstation class system and the other is a gaming system that can be used for a number of tasks. If you do professional level work dealing with CAD, photoshop etc then you should go with the Precision because of its RGB LED and quadro drivers.

For everything else I'd say the M18x has the clear advantage aside from the lack of RGB LED.

  • @bhfireblade get the alienware you can tweak the nvidia drivers to work like a workstation card which are the freakin same cards just with diff drivers an model numbers....

  • @bhfireblade Only the Nvidia cards support 3D. AMD crossfire is dinosaur tech and doesn't support 3D.

  • @l0keman why AMD crossfire called Dinosaur Tech? lol

  • It's interesting that the system with the Intel 320 SSD had longer load times than the 7200 RPM triditional platter HDD.

The loading times from installing my Force GT 120 SSD have been insanely fast compared to a triditional 7200 rpm HDD.

Thanks for the demos, I ordered my M18X today, with 580m SLI.

  • @Pchild

    Congrats on your purchase.

  • Nicely executed!! Watch where you set your drinks on that desk!!

  • Nice test I am not suprised by the results NVIDIA always beats AMD :-)

  • nice video techinferno im looking forward to part 2!

  • @Grechieman

Thanks, part 2 will be testing a gaming benchmark (arkham city) with a focus on image quality + performance.

  • hi could you put a 6990 into a alienware m15x :D

  • now throw a 2960XM in there and you are all set :D

  • nice dude love the hardware vut nvidia rules! and alienware too
