Mr Music Africa, the Liberation War Hero, Mukanya Forever. I will always love Mukanya, no one puts Zimbabweon the map like Thomas "The Prophet".

Love to see this video I produced and directed for Mukanya on Youtube after all these years. It was shot at Stoddard Hall in Mbare in 1988.

Thank you for your help!
Now I know why the song sounded familiar. I hadn't found it, because the song Z-M starts very differently.
Unfortunately I don't have a video of the full track.

Are you referring to Simon Muzenda, the vice-president who died on September 20, 2003 (at the age of 81)? What was his relation to this video?
Oh, that was not Muzenda. I was wrong. But another war veteran who died maybe in 2007???
I forgot when was that. It was not 2003 but in 2005 or 2007.
This song and a song of Clive Malunga were repeated on the TV. Those are Chimurenga songs.
I think that ZBC wanted to remind Zim people of his(the war veteran) exploits during the liberation struggle.
just saw him at the Berkeley World Music Festival. Nice old clip!
