  • As stated in my YouTube profile, I strongly oppose the belief that violent video games desensitize people to violence. That belief is an urban legend. It is evidently unsubstantiated and ultimately false. I do not like people who support that people, including my parents and their church. Since 2007, I no longer live with parents, but they are still alive. Censorship is not the answer to violence in society.

  • @TediusZanarukando its like 2012 and the global elite... theories that have been proven wrong SEVERAL TIMES!!!! but some people never learn to shut the fuck up... IM TALKING TO YOU FOX NEWS AND JACK THOMPSON!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok what? i would never play that, a game u can cut some prostitues head off? and light a cop on fire with gasoline, Ive never seen that ever before in my life? sure lets look at gta, pretty violent game. u can shoot people but its not like 500 points for killing someone, you can just have fun roaming around, im still not allowed to play it but i have played violent videogames but i have not commited any acts of violence in my life. I'm pretty sure most people that play them dont go out and kill.

  • Sounds like GTA.... these games are games but they are NOT TOYS!!!!! Keep play time to toys..... let the grown ups play this game...and yes.......... to parents....... know what your child is playing!!!!! before you buy it for them

  • Sounds like GTA.... these games are games but they are NOT TOYS!!!!! Keep play time to toys..... let the grown ups play this game...and yes.......... to parents....... know what your child is playing!!!!! before you buy it for them

  • i wanta play

  • sounds like an awsome game, what game is he talkin about? I would love to play it

  • of course mediawise doesn't mention that games now have ratings & a child this young would not be sold a game like this without parental consent.

  • of course mediawise doesn't mention that games now have ratings & a child this young would not be sold a game like this without parental consent. come on, people, be honest for once

  • who bought that kid grand theft auto ? lol

  • Seriously, MediaWise? This has got to be a joke.

  • Prostitutes aren't THAT hard to kill.

  • sounds like fun!

  • That is strangely similar to Postal 2

  • Pussy ass kid needs a real gun.

  • A parent lets a child play a video game intended for teenagers and up and the computer game is at fault?

Fuck off with that shit. If a bad parent lets a kid watch Hostel we don't blame Hollywood for making movies to violent. We don't blame Eli Roth for making it. It's a movie at a targeted audience and some dipshit parent dropped the ball.

Same in this case. This kid (actor) isn't meant to be playing GTA. Now leave those of us old enough to know better the fuck alone.

  • I can't wait to whore my own children out in PSAs and get money from making them say things that kids would get drugged up with anti depresants and sent into years of therapy for saying this to anyone in real life.

  • Now this would be a good postal 3 commercial.

  • FUCKING KIDS GETTING THE BETA FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO 5. SHIT.

  • Why can't you shoot someone with body armour?

Bullets don't have to penetrate armour to injure or kill people. Remember that one, kid.

  • @jeffersmonster

"armour", it's armor, speak the original american english or don't faggot.

  • @ClickForOutkast Tough behind the screen are you? You filthy american pig I hope you burn in hell, not everyone wants to speak your language you fucking inbred redneck.

  • @TheSlipknawt Fucking eurotrash, you are on the INTERNET invented by AMERICANS, with a COMPUTER invented by AMERICANS, speaking ENGLISH invented by AMERICANS.

    Idiot.

  • @ClickForOutkast Wait what? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG IM THE IDIOT?! Do you really think english was made by americans? You're a disgrace to your family, country and continent...What the fuck!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA OMG STUPID AMERICANS GO BUY SOME MORE MCDONALDS YOU DICKHEAD!!! HHAHAHHAHA

  • @TheSlipknawt McDonalds is the only counter argument you have to offer after I DEVASTATED you with my fucking GROUNDBREAKING arguments?

I did not expect any better from you, eurotrash.

  • @ClickForOutkast So you dont want to reply about your idiotic thought that english was made by the americans? I did not expect any better from you, trailertrash.

  • DUDE! Its like a conversation I'd have with my little brother.

  • Sounds like a typical night out with the boys.

  • i dont see the problem here, light cops on fire, decapitate hookers sounds like hes learning to solve problems to me

  • What game is it? I want to PLAY NAO!

  • mfw i played gta III when i was 4 and i'm now in prison for eighty-three counts of manslaughter

  • Yup, prostitutes are hard to kill because they have titanium skin, don't ya know?

  • Why are prostitutes super-hard to kill?

  • This kid is totally fuckin bad ass.

    For realz.

    llolllolololoolollol

  • fuckin a kid!

  • So somehow this is the fault of video games and not parents... Totally makes sense. >.>

  • that's disturbing

  • Jesus if you can't see the difference between video games and real life, you should be in a hospital or something lol.

  • ...wtf just happened?

  • LOL, definitely Postal.

  • Who ever thinks violent video games make kids do this your an idiot i played the first splinter cell when i was little.

  • VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES DO NOT INHERENTLY CAUSE VIOLENCE! When parents fail to give kids any solid moral standpoint, they (kids) look to other things (media, peers, etc) for guidance. Also, the idea that "violent video games spur crime" is quite blown out of proportion. For example, 10 million copies of Grand Theft Auto IV as of August 2008. 7 people have been reported being influenced by said game to commit crimes.

  • I want the game this kid is playing. Give it to me.

  • What game is the kid talking about? Because it sounds awesome.

  • @TransforWhores You liar. You can't cut off prostitutes heads with a machete in that game. Nor can you throw gasoline on people.

  • @shonenjumpfan Yeah, sounds more like Postal.

  • What game is he playing?

    i wanna play it 2

  • Yep, that sounds like a typical video game, those hookers are so tough, only the machete can cut through their titanium g-strings.

  • I don’t see the problem: this kid sounds awesome. He did all that stuff? He’s a total badass!

Wait. It was just in a video game?

    Lame.

  • Don't you just hate it when you have to go all machete on a hooker?

  • I wish this was a real game, sounds heaps fun.

  • Meh sounds like he was playing Postal 2. Good game, but not really that great.

And prostitutes aren't hard to kill. You just drive over them with your car.

  • maybe they should learn whats in the games...prostitutes arent hard to kill at all

  • Isn't the child exploitation in this video worse than his exposure to violent video games?

  • holy shit that little fucker's hardcore

  • I love how he considers prostitutes 'so hard to kill'...

  • Kid, can I borrow whatever game your playing cause it sounds AWESOME!

  • This is the worst PSA ever. It makes me actually want to play. The end says "learn what is in video games. Kids do".

What is that trying to say though?

Kids are cool, they know what's up, so you should join the fun! There is no scary message here. There is a kid who enjoys what he is doing, and they tell you to get involved. This is propaganda at it's absolute worst. That's like if Hitler said "The jews will make you the happiest person ever. Death to the jews!"

  • @Bassbait I think the point of this PSA was to show how desensitized to violence

kids are these days and how an little kid can do all these kinds of gruesome acts of violence. Not that i think this is a good PSA but i thik that was the message that they were trying to convey a cheap-shot against video-games in general

  • @Sign213 Ya, but part of growing up is being desensitized. Desensitized is an antonym for "sheltered", basically. I mean, you probably at one point in your life thought "Ah!!! a naked woman!' If you don't become desensitized, you're going to end up like Buster from Arrested Development. I could understand the point of a kid at such a young age, but kids should be allowed to decide what is good for them, and if not the kids, the parents. Not some council like the PRMC or politician, but PARENTS.

  • @Bassbait Im not agreeing with the PSa in any way shape or form but that was the message that thwy were trying to convey and failed . It´s parents responsibility to control this of course but i think that someone at this age shouldný be presented with htis content , there are times in life for with to understand and come to terms with something as one´s sexuality but it has to be a guided process and having a kid playing a violent video game without their parents conset

  • @Bassbait is a blunt way of presenting them something they can misinterpret and not yet be able to grasp , that´s why kids shoulnd´t drink their metabolism is not fit to that yet , in this case they are not mature to be exposed to violence and if they are so at this age they can interpret

    violence as something normal

  • @Sign213 Violence is normal. Kids will be in for quite a rude awakening if they have to wait until they are 17 to know what violence is. I grew up on shooters, so I've always known, and I wouldn't say I've turned into a bad person, because I'm smarter than that. It's all a matter of what the parents think. I don't think video games affect kids in negative ways when done right. 8 year olds shouldn't be playing GTA, but Doom isn't the worst thing on the planet anymore, so I say they can play that.

  • @Bassbait I disagree . Of course im not saying that they aren´t exposed to violence through their life but giving and 8 year old a game where he can chop off someone´s head is wrong. Im not saying kids that do turn out to be serial killers but it has a negative effect in some kids that may translate the sense of immunity or impunity that you get when you do bad deeds on a videogame( you die and reload the game) to real life

  • @Bassbait And for example when you play Doom or another shooter you enjoyment is derivated of violence , if this is true in videogames kids can translate this to real life ang get some sort of enjoyment from being bullys and from being violent .

Of course this doens´t aplly for everyone but it happens even more en these young ages when kids are in development and can be more easily deformed or influenced by this kind of media .

  • @Sign213 STFU, go play some shooter and see it for yourself, just because you kill ppl in a game, it doesn't mean you'll go on a killing spree and kill all hooker you find -.-

And just so you know, normal kids don't have any problems playing shooter, if the parents keep protecting them from everything or every game, considering a shooter to be the work of satan, they're gonna grow up scared and will have a series of psychological problems, and then they'll go on a killing spree :D

  • I dunno if someone told you that already, but there's no game where you can throw gasoline in a cop to kill him (mostly because the cop wouldn't stand still waiting for you to throw it so you could set him on fire, game makers try to be realistic) or cut a protitute's (wich are never hard to kill, although pimps are) head with a sainsaw, although you can use katana.. and most of all, most games don't leave that much blood or have that much scream, he was paid to say that.

  • @dwqdwqdqwdqwdwqddqd Postal 2...

But i agree he was paid to do that , as i siad it´s a cheap shot against videogames , they went so low as to pay a kid to say so much profanity

  • @RE1206 We cannot dictate parents behavior and decisions, yes.... However the cost in violence and murder in reality is what all of us suffer for the training of young minds and hearts on this poison.

  • And then he wore holes in his thumbs trying to figure the combination of buttons that would let him fuck the headless corpse. Shit, I've been there little buddy.

  • @RE1206

    i know right!

  • This kid sucks at GTA, apparently.....

  • @Kingfunkster

    lol

  • It's funny how parents blame everything on violent video games, but when it comes to Pepsi, Coka Cola, High Sugared Cereal, and Fast Food...then they don't bitch about that, and they feed their fucking kids this shit, and no wonder why they think aggressively and hyper active...A shitty diet= A shitty brain.

So to all the parents... quit fattening your kids up, and teach them the difference between fantasy and reality in video games.

  • @EricSchwin22

very very very well put! it is the parents to blame for creating little monsters.

  • He is talking about postal 2 and the group that made this ad just shutting down soon... Yes and bring on postal 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I play M rated games and im under 17.

  • @R32Studios Thats the spirit!

  • actor+idiots= this movie

  • wow if that was reality now, than basicly every kid would be a murderer....

  • hes talking about postal 2

    gasoline?

    cut head of

    yeah its postal 2

    anyway this is stupid

  • wow lol that kids ready for zombies if they come go games

  • Parents have to take control! That game that this kid is talking about sounds like Grand Theft Auto and that game is for adults. Rate M for MATURE not E for Everyone. This is mostly the parents fault because they don't want to pay their children any attention. They want an all day babysitter.

  • @Ejohnson775

    so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmm last time i checked on gta prostitutes were easy to kill with a car :)

  • @darkness94 sounds like you've already sold your soul to destruction.... very sad... find someone to love you out of this trap.

  • @nanamom4 dont blame the video game developers for your failings as a parent now STFU!

  • I wonder how much the little fucker got payed to say that?

  • @kidcaptian nothing... the payment was the thrill of playing the game.... the outcome is a hardening of his budding soul.... what a tragedy.... he may end up like you

  • What a stupid kid, prostitutes are the easiest people to kill in video games.

  • @Bsoftproductions your comment shows how far down the tube you have gone

  • More and more kids are being exposed to these kinds of ideas. Eventually, they will become familiar interactions in their world.

My little brother is 11 and he plays games online where people use racist, violent and sexual language that I deem inappropriate. But the ESRB doesn't rate online interactions. If they did, those games would be rated M.

I don't want him hearing or doing these things so I encourage him to play more appropriate games. Parents... get involved with your kids.

    It counts.

  • Lawl, or you could take away the headset and make him turn down the tv, DUH, buy him appropriate games like get him a Wii. if their bad language in the game make him turn down the audio, if theirs people from other places make him take off the headset and set the settings to not let him hear people on the mic.

  • @turbographics

even if its rated M or not they will play it if the parents allow it.

  • saints row wait no maybe gta your right

this kid is pretty damn wierd

who the hell gave him that game anyway?

its not the game makers fault its the parents fault maybe hes to old to realize that

  • sounds like GTA to me

  • ive never heard of a game like that

  • Kids should not play games or watch movies that have a rating higher than they are suppose to see. Online games included. Monitoring young children is not invasion of privacy or paranoid parenting. It is just laziness and thoughtless not to care if your kids play in the middle of the street.

I wish my husband would care more.

  • Well its not like its going to matter, they'll hear this kind of laungage and violence when they get older. So its not like its the games fault. Parents just need to at least give rules like get a rated e game, then when older other choices could be made. Some parents choose not to give a crap.

  • @Chamelionroses

i have seen many of rated G movies that were extremely damaging to kids thought processes- it only gets worse with the higher ratings

  • since when is it hard to kill a prostitute lol ^^

  • ah the joys of good gameing to me that games sounds rated EC

  • this is the dumbest video ever

  • I guess all I have to say about all this is: whatever. I've heard a whole bunch of crap about violent video games and now I'm tired of hearing about it.

  • @oHelmslyo You won't be tired of hearing about it when someone you love is influenced into a destructive lifestyle.... Easy to be so above it all.....until you have children.

  • Yeah the president can send the army to go blow the shit out of a small middle eastern country no one complains, but when your in a virtual world killing virtual people all of a sudden its "noooo you can't kill people. Thats bad, think of the children". Can you smell the bullshit? How about we start focusing on not killing the real people instead of the virtual ones.

  • yeah i mean who cares about the people on the video games i mean just hit the reset button and poof their back that kid on the video was told what to say do these people think that he would really do that if he could

  • @XBOX2455 two different problems..... we can do something about the video problem. the preseident is the only one who can do anything about the war... how bout focusing on what is possible to do.

  • @nanamom4 There is no video game problem. The "Video game problem" is something made up by the media to distract you from the real problems at hand. There is absolutely no proof what so ever that video games lead to violence. In fact since the creation of video games the percentage of violent crimes has decreased. Learn the facts forget the lies.

By the way war will never end, it is human nature. The best we can do is do it for the right reasons as others will do it for the wrong ones.

  • what game is he talking bout cus there aint games out there like that

  • @TheDarknessIsInMe where have you been?

  • ive played just about every video game there is and i know for a fact that he's not talking about GTA or any game, and seeing as how the courts have already deemed video games are protect under FREE SPEECH ill keep playing them!

    @nanamom4

  • @nanamom4 I know, I know, I understand how you feel, nobody loves you and you want to get attetion, but complaining about games ain't the way to do it, you can't stop games from being violent and you can't say all kids get influenced by the games they play, actually, most use games to control their anger from other stuff, killing a bunch of ppl in a game stops them from doing it in real life.

And who the fuck would let a kid that small play a game, don't blame games, blame parents -.-

  • ok that prostitute part in the end I've never see or heard of & i am a major gamer.

  • GTA???

  • Sounds like an M rated game. How about you parents out there actually learn to be parents? Stop blaming everyone else for how shitty your kid turned out.

  • right that is why we have rating on the damn box it`s not to make the box look pretty

  • You can't cut peoples heads off in Grand Theft Auto IIRC. Or throw gasoline.

  • this is just stupid

game makers do everything that they can to stop kids playing violent games. They put age ratings (which here in the uk 18 is the highest) and now we have perental control which limits the violence in games. It all fall down to is perents if they give their child a game (not like talk about in this clip cos it is made up and desperate to make games look bad) they trust there child not to take it to far and to under stand it is just a game.

  • great ad, I shouldn't have to explain why and it won't mater to you if I do because you brainwashed haters have already decided that this ad is wrong just like they want you to. Still, its nice to read the comments of some thinkers out there. There might be hope for the world. thumbs-down me, haters!

  • only 26 comments? but this is such a brand new issue

  • the video game industry doesnt promote on nickelodeon, or the disney channel, and they state M ratings on the package, these games are bought by uninformed parents (which this video should warn them of being uniformed), or by older siblings/friends who dont realize their actions.

  • WHAT? im sorry to be the burden of bad news but this is a ridiculous video. I personally play a great number of violent games, my question to you is what video game is he playing? I have never heard of this video game and this is grave false advertissement if I ever saw one. Please answer my question as soon as possible you lying ****s! Once more this is F****** ridiculous!

  • Grand theft Auto San andreas... is the Game hes talking about. Or a more later version of it.

  • Grand Theft Auto...

  • u can shoot clubs but theres no gas to light ppl on fire and no machete, its a flame thrower and a chainsaw...duh!

  • stop being a hypocrite, almost every game now revolves around killing people.

  • This kid sounds cool. And unlike some adults he probably knows the difference between a game and reality.

  • cant' wait till your kids grow to be adults.

  • There's a rating on the game's box. I'm guessing it's an "M" title based on the description of the action. The PSA should be about his parent's inability to monitor the content of his entertainment.

It sounds like he's describing Grand Theft Auto. Why is it always GTA...

  • those prostitutes dont sound that hard to kill if a child has the arm power to slice through her neck... anyways...

  • videogamees dosent kill people peoplekillpeople

  • do not talk because you have nothing to back up youre hollow statements i guess im brainwashed now uhoh!

  • your point is so invalid it's not even funny to challenge. I myself did a college essay on how video games affect the human psyche. And through the research it only turned up one thing to be true against it.

If a kid has a mental illness or some type of anger/depression problem, then yes it may exasperate it. Other then that it has no affect what so ever. Media like this has always been attacked, they started years ago with comic books. It's just something for people to bitch about.

  • The research I had to do for the essay shows I know what I'm talking about. The information IS from experts, and no, I used the word I meant to use.

So congratulations on making an argument out of nothing.

  • Yep. Just blame video games instead of parents. Your whole "hate videogames" is a gigantic crock of garbage.

Parents who don't actively participate in their childrens lives both in school and entertainment always suffer like this. You should be ashamed for blaming a single outlet like video games.

  • This shit is so inaccurate. Prostitutes aren't hard to kill at all.

  • However the problem aren't the video games which offer the freedom to act cruel in the virtual world. The problem are actually the video games in combination with the kids who feel mature by acting cruel in the virtual world.

  • If parents would just do their jobs, this wouldn't be an issue. Parents, it's in your hands!

  • This is absurd! Most little kids don't PLAY gta san andreas or gta4! or whatever game u wanna throw into the mix. And of course little kids shouldn't see violent video games! What are these stupid PSAs telling us we don't know?? god, I hate PSAs! Who do they think they're kidding? They don't change anyone's lives. It's just regurgitating the same crap over and over and over.

  • If the prostitute was so hard to kill, why did he so easily cut her head off? They need to put more thought into this stuff.

  • More violence and harm is caused by wrestling and madden football games than any other game. This is crap.

  • Liiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Keep censoring people and ignore the science, that's your policy right?

  • Wow! Talk about censorship! My comment was erased? Did I say anything offensive? Did I make comments that weren't true!? Is it too much to ask that parents have responsibilities when it comes to their children? This is how you treat art? Enjoy your book burning Nazis!

  • I played Mortal Kombat when I was younger than that kid. Guess how many real people died as a result... These PSA's should be telling parents to teach their kids about the concept of reality vs. fantasy. Say it early and often, so your kid doesn't think violence in the media is the same as real violence.

  • Videos games don't cause violence. For example, the Romans fought each other to the death for fun, and video games weren't even a thought back then. Same goes for the Wild West. There was a shootout like every day back then. And once again, video games didn't exist!

  • That's a good ad. Finally lets parents know what's in games, and that they're NOT FOR KIDS.

  • LOL

  • That game is rated M, that kids parents bought him the game most likely, but noooooo let's blame the games lol.

  • I'm personally able to enjoy video games with ridicilous amounts of violence without hurting anyone in the real world. But that could've very well been different ,if I also weren't exposed to extremely non-violent media throughout my life, including from my parents. Violence is a part of our lives, too, after all... The important thing is to know what it really is and to be aware of it's consequences. They don't include that knowledge in those games, therefore alternative sources are necessary.

  • This isn't a step to banning video games, it's a parental awareness and responsibility campaign.

"Violence is a part of our lives" as a response proves your blindness to this issue, because it's an entirely false premise, working on the indoctrinated validate by current example mentality. The argument isn't whether you will go out and recreate the violent acts, as some do, but how it molds your perception of violence in general, and whose interest it's in to influence that.

    Think harder.

  • Many instances where you say they react what they have seen have been proven false. One case was of a teen boy who claimed he played "GTA San Andreas" at home all the time and it influenced him. His dad later testified against his son saying "We've never owned the game in question." Video games have become an excuse like music, they don't affect you, only stupid people think so. And only stupid people use it as an excuse.

  • I really don't think videogames weigh heavy in the scale of things at all when it comes to violence in the lives of children. It is society as a whole and how people are treated in general by just about everyone: Governments, corporations, people on the street. Kids don't have room to be kids anymore and are thrown into the adult world way to soon nowadays. Agression has always been part of us and we always look for different releases for it, violent games are like footbal etc in a way.
