OK I DID IT again and it worked i had to do it both ways i did not have ie... how i want to know how to get rid of the star (favorites) and add star (add favorites) on the bar, and i like to make the bar smalled resize like on ie6... this one is frozed at one inch i like a quarter of an inch... can you help with that. i will subscribe to you to see if you can fix this for me. this is great. i love learning computer stuff.. neat... i am 52 today and suprise myself how well i know computers

Hello, excellent casual manner and voice. Yesterday I installed SP3. Just found your video today about removing the search bar from IE7. Familiar w/ regedit. LOL, went to policies and there is no Internet Explorer there. :) What now, Mr. Nerd? Thank you. My thought? Remove SP3, uninstall IE7. Reinstall SP3. Reinstall IE7. Then maybe IE will be listed in policies?

there is a much simpler way... if you don't want a bar up there at all or like an auto hide search bar up above.. press F11... so simple.. hides the whole upper bar.. put mouse up to top to get it to pop back up.. one button.. save yourself 8minutes ppl ha oh and another way to get rid of the "google" bar.. not search bar... is start, control panel, left colum click classic view then look for add remove programs.. and look for the bar you want to remove that simple..

Well, maybe like the guy says - if you don't like extra search- and toolbars on your browser? Or when you like to use a toolbar like Google's, MSN's or Yahoo's, that comes with a built in searchbar? Two searchbars is a bit much IMO.

yeh but the built in search bar can search Google, Live, Yahoo, Ask, and also if you go onto youtube, you can then set it as a youtube search bar, so you don't have to visit youtube again while the browser is still open. Go on other sites and then search youtube from it.
