  • the spinerettes are ok

  • i look at the film again,it is just defensive behaviour off the auratum against the criquet.

he also put he's abdoms above,so you're spider is ok.

    greets from belgium

    the animal whisperer

  • I THINK HE ACT THAT WAY BECAUSE HE WAS TAKEN BY SURPRISE WITH THE CRIQUET;THERE IS A CRIQUET AND YOU SEE WHEN HE FEEL THAT,THEN HE REACT THAT WAY.and he walk away ,still looking at the criquet.

that can have many reasons, for example ,a criquet was there when he was molted and now he don't like criquets.iff he don't eat and he dos'nt have to molt, you can tried to remove the head of the criquet.but it can also be the caracter of the spider, auratums can be verry nervous!

  • WHats that moving on its ass

  • @MegaQuasia89 Spinnerettes, it is how they make their webs. They might be larger compared to a normal spider.

  • @FireDrag1091 Thanks for that information it really helped

  • 360 no scope

  • Looks to be dehydrated

  • Too bad it's a male

  • My B smithi has done this when she was in her pre-molt process. I offered her a cricket with my foreceps, and as I was coming down with it to drop it, she jumped a good inch and a half off the substrate! At the time, that was her leg span! She bit the cricket in self-defense and did this cool spin, then ran under her bark. What was weird is she didn't kick hairs first..

  • i bought a flame knee about 3 weeks ago, the guy at the shop said she was about 2 maybe 3 years old, how old is that? because that looks pretty big

  • @seriff88

The Brachypelma genus as a whole tend to grow extremely slowly, though individual specimens obviously grow at different rates. There's a big difference in a two- and three-year-old Brachypelma because this is when they're still growing a lot faster than when they mature (obviously). Typically, a two-year-old Brachypelma would be around 2.5"-3" I would say, and a three-year-old specimen would probably be 3.5"-4".

  • ADHD tarantula has ADHD.

  • Damnnn, that's a nice looking spider. His legs are really long. Is he aggressive?

  • spin was skillz, prob sizin up his chances of a jump n escape manouvere

  • Gorgeous spider! Good luck with him/her

  • Looks like Taz from Looney Toones!

  • cool t. how big is it ?

  • i know i'm replying to a post that's 2 years old, but i couldn't let it go without being corrected. the flame knee and red knee are 2 different species. Same genus, different species.

    Brachypelma Smithi - Red Knee

    Brachypelma Auratum - Flame Knee

it may not be noticable to those who don't pay much attention, but the differences are there.

Beautiful T by the way, great colouration :)

  • I'm not trying to force any arguement, I'm simply stating that if you don't have the expertise to sex a T, you don't have the expertise to breed them either. If stating facts is trolling, then sure, I'm trolling. You're avoiding my question entirely, so you're not exactly "Professional" at what you're doing, and should not be giving out any advice to anyone, saying you can't sex Ts without equipment when you can. If anything sir, you're the troll.

  • LOL...that was hilarious!

  • is this an adult size?

  • Wtf he did a 360 !

  • fucking epic :D i wish my t could do that

  • spiders are not toys or for entertain you ! spiders are so wonderful animals ! this is not a good terrarium for a ts ! when you must living in a so little fucking plasticbox no real nature mmh ! look for the habitat where the spider comes from what she need ! sorry for my bad english ! greetings

  • @blue1860munich The T doesn't know the difference between plastic and glass, also, the lack of height makes this a better tank for a T because it cannot fall and injure itself, these boxes are recommended by the best T collectors, looks like a shoe box from the container store just because the tank isn't pretty doesn't mean its bad, the spider has walking room, a hideaway good substrate, and a water bowl.

Nice T btw. I want to get my girlfriend a B. Smithi soon. Gotta love the Brachypelma's!

  • beautiful auratum!i think it is a male.

i know also a spider who jump like this one,and it is also for to catch a cricket,so people, don't think always the bad things.

    he looks healthy.

    greets from belgium

    krisje

  • ol too much sugar for himi

  • Very nice

    Beautiful Spider :)

  • babetta u have ds in your brain .. so crazy jump ^^

  • Beautiful T.

  • the smithi is crazy because the ground is very wrong for this species. they need a ground like in the forrest, where they can dig holes and channels. on this fluffily ground this species getting mad.. thats all.

  • that is a wierd tarantula

  • i think your spider have DS ( Dyskinetical Syndrom)

  • @Babetta4 its not D sindrom because it can walk fine after make that spin

  • chudák.jak je hubenej.dejte mu nažrat

  • that was fun. nice specimen. looks healthy.

  • 360' grab trick. Nice :D

  • nice spider ;)

    Crazy jump :D

  • Wow, hungry girl. :-)

  • sure this spider is hungry, if a spider needs food u see, if u compare abdomen with the front part of the body, and if u look this video, the sider looks like starving... threating a beautiful being like this... shame on you(sorry for bad english isnt motherthoung)

  • it's abdomen is small like that because it is a male

  • She is Hungry! Feed your Spider. You are Stupid man -.-'

  • @o012360o its acctualy a male

  • What the fuck do you mean "she is hungry"? What are you, some kind of behavioural therapist for tarantulas? I bet you don't even own any. It did that jump BECAUSE it was trying to catch a cricket.

  • And it was trying to catch the cricket why? BECAUSE IT WAS HUNGRY. :) Are you some kind of expert on Tarantula's? Obviously not. Asshole.

  • lol

  • he looks hungry

  • LEARNER Chuck Norris

  • cock sucking WMG, this is not the first!

  • get her bigger cage

  • I bet he can kick those teenage ninja turtle nerds butts, and then eat them.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL my OBT does that!

  • wow! Really active!

  • It took about three views for my brain to understand this

  • FUCK WMG

  • ssucho jak piprz nawilż podłoże

  • Ładny ten ptasznik ale nakarm go bo wygląda jak by był nie karmiony przez parę tygodni :P

  • your tarantula haz teh hellicoptr powerz :O

  • this is a male as i can se :? the females have more bigger asses if i can say so :)

  • Comment removed

  • my friend told me how to exam the sex and it's a female :) he has 2 whit puches or what is it in the mould

  • oh, you must be right then if your friend told you, you and your friend are right and every expert, every page on the net and every book ever published on the subject is wrong, is it? ........ i suggest that instead of your friend telling you bullshit, he should be telling you how to write sentences......

  • o sorry of you bullshit whatever you should comment normal not being a 15 year old wise ass ok

  • Comment removed

  • @leeofbacup

there is only one known, tried and proven way of sexing a tarantula (besides examining a molt) and that is only in the species that even have them, and that is tibial hooks, which are protrusions that stick out from the underside of the first two legs on either sides of the pedipalps. if your tarantula has tibial hooks, it is 100% certified male. they use those hooks to hold the female during mating. other than that, there is no way to guesstimate w/o a molt to examine.

  • Comment removed

  • @leeofbacup You are wrong. If you dont have the expertise dont talk. You can sex alot of Tarantulas venteraly. And pokies can be sexed dorsaly. Checking the spermathacae is the only 100% way, But not the ONLY way.

  • @leeofbacup You don't need a microscope to sex a specimen of 2" or more. All you need is an molt in great condition.

  • @leeofbacup its pretty easy to sex them =o

  • @leeofbacup you must be retarded then, all males have hooks on there front legs except for the goliath bird eaters

  • Comment removed

  • @leeofbacup Wait so you're telling me that you don't have time, nor the expertise to sex a T, and yet you're claiming to be a successful breeder and shop owner? If you don't have the expertise to sex a T, then you don't have the expertise to breed a T. Common knowledge.

  • @LorrieMay Replying to a comment that is over a year old to try and force an argument... Typical troll.

  • females are generally bigger in size but not just the ass.... but thats piontless way to sex a T, because you might have a big male or a small female.... there is no way to tell the sex of a T without looking at the shed skin, for hooks on the front limbs, but these can be tiny...... try looking it up.....

  • How is that account even allowed? Really?

  • what part?

  • teenagefucker

  • nice i prefer mexican redleg luv that black triangle on the carpace very nice maby you should move it up a size or 2 more i mean its fine right now but by next molt maby bigger cage

  • lol, any punctuation dude?

  • kind of a small box for a trant that big

  • The enclosure isn't wide enough. D:

  • its a feeding cage

  • what is this song called?

  • That's what you call a 360 skill kill! lolz

  • I don´t know this kind..

  • is that a red knee tarantula

  • Flame knee. Red knee is a B. Smithi.

  • Thats why scientific names are better than common names, the spicies dont get mixed up.

  • no its not

  • Yea it is. Do some research.

  • I'm getting me a B. auratum as well as I want a Brachypelma boehmei. I have two beautiful pokes..

    0.1 Poecilotheria striata

0.1 Poecilotheria fasciata...and one 0.0.1 Nhandu coloratuvillosus is coming up....=)

  • is your auratum a male?

  • this is one of the most wicked thing i ever seen, in 5 days from now i am getting a Brachypelma boehmei - Mexican rustleg...she's so beautiful...i can't wait

  • badmagic where you gettin your rustleg from

  • i got it at a local pet store near my place, he order it for me

  • hahah class vid... loved the spins hahaa my red knee jus flick hairs at me :\

  • lol, owned. I'm getting a red knee soon =)

  • That was a pretty cool move. My A avicularia just chills in his hammock all day : x I want a brachypelma! ... my next purchase

  • Docile? As docile as any wild animal can be =-) my vagans is pretty hateful of anything in her habitat.. once you get her out she's fair game to crawl around and explore and much less defensive.. They're not really aggressive. They don't just attack, First she gives warning signs like.. dude.. back away... i'm pissed.. and then she'll show you the display of fangs saying.. ok, one more step you're mine.. and then she'll strike. the only time she's ever bitten "at" me is when i as removing food

  • PO POLSKU PISZ LESZCZU

  • Are all members of the Brachypelma genus docile?

  • I've raised 3 different types of Brachypelma (Bhomei, vagans and auratum). They aren't particularly docile as much as they are tolerant. Grammostola Spatulata is a docile spider. Brachy's just wish to be left alone, and commonly don't show signs of aggression unless they are underfed or about to moult.

  • Wicked! I'm getting one next week, so that I (hopefully) will have something to watch while my Smithi is still in hiding!

  • Believe it or not fucktards, The living conditions that spider has are not all that bad, I only have one concern though, The size. I think you should find a bigger home for... it looks like a male(Is it a Juvi?), I think more room = happier more docile Ts. Buts thats just my opinion.

Anyway, the soil in the water is normal. It happens alot. Oh and the soil looks like it needs to be remoistened or changed. Anyway, Hope you have fun with him/her/it xD.

  • Lame set up.Seriously.Buy it a new & better looking home.

    :¬(

  • spiders care more about proper conditions, his setup is good.

  • The water bowl is full of soil.Ur right sooooo good!

  • Yep, spiders put soil in water themself.

  • So...clean...it...out....ya know?...helps...the...c.o.n.d.i.t.i.o.n.s!!! Sorry to have to spell it out for ya.Fucktard

  • Thanks for spelling it out, I'll clean it out now. A better looking home also help the conditions, right?

ah f*ck it, not worth arguing about, we understand eachother.

  • I know this is an old comment, but sometimes my tarantula will fill his water dish with dirt an hour after I fill it. Am I supposed to stand by its cage all day ready to refill it?

Also, tarantulas aren't people. They don't care about "pretty homes." All they need/want is food, water, somewhere to hide and sufficient substrate depth/cage height if they're a burrowing/aboreal species.

  • that would be because your tarantula drowns in the water and needs help to drink it's water and also not drown.regular aquarium rocks work well so if you put then in their water source it will stop doing that

  • wow

  • OMG!! that tarantula is huge, and the spin was so cool

  • Very nice video, whats the song and whats the ol version was it depech mode?

  • The song is Marilyn Manson's cover of Blue Monday, originally by New Order.

  • thats orgy's cover of it actually..........

  • I stand corrected. The mp3 I downloaded several years ago was tagged as Marilyn Manson and I've never known different 'til now, vocals sound very similar. Cheers.

  • hardly... Manson's vocals is pretty damned distinct.: )

  • Ok, maybe 'not too dissimilar' would have been a better phrase. Compared at least to releases like Tainted Love (maybe only Tainted Love now I think of it). Not at all in his pre Grotesque days when he was still good; when he didn't release shitty pop rock covers of 80's tunes like that other band, Orgy, that released a shitty pop rock cover of an 80's tune that sounded a little bit like Marilyn Manson :)

  • I wasn't trying to be an arse. I guess it was one o' those moments I should have held my tongue. Anyways, down with covers; 80's por vida!

  • I didn't think you were :) 80's por vida!

  • Nice T owner of a young female chilean rose hair.

  • Can B.Vagans do that too??.. =3

  • uhm i dont hope he bites you because is the bananaspider not deadly posion

  • kung fu red knee well done daniel son haha

  • Dobry Wariat :D

  • LoL. Great vid, whats the common name for this T?

  • what the f$%*k are you guys doing with spiders!!!

Get a dog or something!!! BUT IT LOOKED REALLY COOL THO...so nice spider...i geuss!!!

  • Vary beautiful. Obviously, that's a male tarantula. Stop the video at the 19 second mark, and you can sort of see the hooks underthe abdomen.

  • crazy spider!

  • its like a tornado... i'd of named it taz!!

  • Amazing! Does that mean it's happy?

  • I love watching mine catch prey, they are amazingly fast!
