  • lol I hear you. Producing would be so much more fun without the actors. j/k. I love the rehearsal period, to see people actually get it seems like a miracle sometimes. We did Cabaret in 2000 and i think was one of our best works, we won 3 awards for it Best Actor, MC. Best actress, Sally. Best Musical Director and nominated for Best ensemble and Costumes. The MC was fantastic, and helped to motivate a lot of the cast.We followed Cabaret with Stephen Sondheims "Assassins" A very intense year :)

  • Understood, however Stage eccentricities should be something that all actors new and more experienced need to be watched for, from day one.ADs take note this is a part of your job to bring these things to the directors attention. A good rehearsal even so :)

  • I agree. And I wasn't happy with a good handful of the people that didn't take rehearsal seriously

  • Fine voices, but if i had been directing this productions some of the actors would have been taught stage presence. To much fiddling with clothes. and extraneous movement.

  • I agree with you - however this was not a performance, this was a taped rehearsal before a performance. Every night before we went on we ran this number and two others.
