  • I loved this idea and it sounds like it would be easy even for someone like me who doesn't have much experience making flowers. Thanks I'm going to try this.

  • @rosiecooper1261 I am so glad you are going to try it - it is super fun and will give you GREAT results! I am glad that the way I explained it gave you the confidence to KNOW that you can do it too! Have a great week!

  • great tut, tfs!!

  • @KraftyKatsy Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed! Hope you are feeling better!

  • great Idea,,thanks for sharing ,,real pretty flowers!!

  • How many of the larger size do you use before going on to the next size?

  • @marylizart Thanks for stopping by. Because I was alternating between tissue paper and book paper it was pretty random...but I always used at least 2 pieces of tissue paper and one piece of book paper of each size. So when I use JUST tissue paper I use 3-4 of each size because they will make fuller looking flowers. Hope that helps! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • Luv this! Were you going from small to large and then back to small?

  • @marylizart I was going from large to small -- but I was alternating between tissue paper and book pages - which may have made it seem like I was alternating sizes as well. They are super fun - and make your projects really pop.

  • What id you don't have the dies? Can you cut them by hand?

  • @tuffytuffers For sure you can cut them by hand....or if you have a scallop punch -- that will work too!

  • Whoo-hoo, I'm loving these! I love how you and Roseanne tell us to not worry about being perfect. That takes a load off, and makes it easy going for us newbies. What? Am I the only newbie??....lol Seriously your flowers are so very beautiful, thanks for sharing.

  • Oh sweet friend...we are ALL newbies! I am trying something new this afternoon (it is in a "drying phase" right now) -- and I just keep telling myself..."it doesn't have to be perfect!" Seriously -- it is the little imperfections that give visual interest...so relax....and go PLAY!

  • How in the world did I miss this video?!? I'm subscribed to your channel and usually see new videos on my YT homepage but didn't see this. Well I'm here now thank goodness. Love, love, love this! Your a peach Jann!

    Yolanda

  • YEAH! Well...could it be the fact that you had a few things on your plate this week? Twins, husband home from work, doctors appointments, work, climbing Mt. Everest to collect yak wool to spin into garments for an upcoming YouTube video! Seriously -- you missing a video here or there is just gonna happen Martita! *smile* Thanks for stopping by -- and I hope you know I am kidding you...I am just so smitten with you! Shine On!

  • I am seriously laughing my butt off! I had to reschedule my yak expidition until next week...lol

And of course I know your kidding :) and I just love it!!

    The bright and shining girl!

  • These flowers are sooo pretty...thank you for sharing this great tutorial with us...

  • I love it Jann, they look so delicate and detailed. TFS :)

  • Hi Jann...

Thanks for this great tutorial, i've not tried making them this way before so I will have to give it s try... i love making flowers :-)

  • Let me know if they give you any trouble....I'll be happy to help!

  • oohh i gotta get that die this week

    too cute

  • The way you build yours makes so much more sense than the way i have been doing them....adding that book page would of course give it so much more stability!! DUH?

Thank you for showing me the error of my ways!!! lol

    ~Jill

  • Oh Jill....there is no right or wrong way to make them! I am just kind of a book page freak...I can almost always find a reason to use a bit of a page in anything I am making!

Besides...I am on the hunt for a new way to do them so I can put them on inside pages where they have to not be so puffy!

Thanks for stopping by..send me a link to yours when you make them!

  • I love these, Jann! I've got the dies, got book paper, tissue paper, mist ... I'm ready to go!! I like the crunchy texture. TFS!

    roxy
