And he certainly hasn't won the SEC East in three of the last four years. Plus, he didn't win coach of the year in 2008. And people typically become the 6th fastest coach to reach 400 wins because they aren't good coaches. Plus USC had finally received the ok from the NCAA to use there new point guard and USC just beat another top 25 team. Facts.

If I'm not mistaken his division 2 wins make up the majority of his wins. Just saying he's a hype man, don't think his player are actually executing skilled basketball as much as they are throwing teams off balance with uncontrolled basketball. That seems to explain the little success he has had in the NCAA tourney. Almost loosing to American and loosing to OK state.
Being unpredictable is an integral part of basketball. If a team knows what you're going to do than they can game plan to stop it very easily. Obviously Bruce Pearl's style of play has suited him very well since he currently has a .774 win percentage, fourth best amongst active coaches.
Just to strongly, I repeat STRONGLY reiterate my point, four UT basketball players were arrested on marijuana and weapons charges and today including Tyler Smith and Brian Williams. Pearl has stated that Tyler Smith was the leader of the team. It's sad that people believe this guy is such a great coach when he is obviously so out of touch with his players that he didn't realize things like this were going on. Maybe he knew and turned a blind eye, truly sad people think this coach is great!
