Looking carefully the property mentioned at second 1:55 i remember that i learned the multiplication table of 9 using exactly this method!, i mean:
9 x 1 = 9
9 x 2 = 18
so as anyone can see the result is a simply subtraction by 1 of the result above showed and placed on the right column plus the addition of 1 placed on left column, let's continue:
9 x 3 = 27
9 x 4 = 36
27 and 36... so 7 (right column) minus 1 equal to 6 (result on right column for the operation 9 x 4 )
A NUMBER WHEEL is just a number line to ten that is bent into a circle so that when you get to ten, you are back at zero. It is like the last number on a bike lock. See the Twos and Eights (Math Number Wheel) video or any of my other number wheel videos to understand better. It's lot of fun and an easy way to learn multiplication patterns.
