This is whats missing. You can separate the rotor using a press, remove the copper coil that's inside @3:33 and buy a 3x1x1/2 ring magnet north pole facing towards front of pma, put it all together. You will also need to buy or rewind your stator (the big coil). As far as the back of the pma, you remove everything except the heatsink where the 3 wires connects to. Put everything back together. You now have a wind generator that makes power at 300 rpm... was that so hard?

Yes, you are correct! The advantages to a system like this are that you eliminate the need for a battery to "prime" the alternator as the rotor doesn't hold any residual magnetism, you don't have to worry about the brushes wearing out or the voltage regulator either. If the number of magnetic poles is the same as what was taken out and the field strength is the same, then you will have the same wattage output at any given RPM.
Seems to me like a LOT of effort for very little gain. He needs to run two units side by side, one stock Delcotron and a modified one to see what the wattage is for each one. A volt meter, amp meter and tach need to be hooked up to see what's what. He'd be better off just getting a big DC motor with permanent magnets in it like from an electric wheel chair and spin that up with a prop or water turbine.
This is not an invention. For this type of generators, the magnetic field id generated from a coil to control the output generated voltage. Already know if a permanent magnet is used, the output voltage will be dependent of the rotating speed of the generator, and it is not free as you will need an energy to rotate the generator. The alternator itself is already a generator that will produce power once you have something to make the rotor rotate. It has already with magnets and that's the purpose of those brasses. The main coil is designed to handle a limited power. Replacing the rotor coil with magnets for the purpose of cranking it up will result an overloading of your main coil.
Eagle wind turbines windblue and several others make similar permanent magnet rotors for these Delco alternators, seen on e bay regulary folks. They are never anywhere as good as a proper purpose made pmg in my experience, and i have used many, their diameter means they need very high rpm, about double of normal pma, ok for small outputs.

Look up "stator rewind" on youtube. You'll find a few vids on the subject. The factory windings are too heavy of a gauge to start producing usable electricity at lower rpms. They are excellent for producing higher amps (65-140) at higher (1200-Up) rpms though.

Yes, you are correct! The advantages to a system like this are that you eliminate the need for a battery to "prime" the alternator as the rotor doesn't hold any residual magnetism, you don't have to worry about the brushes wearing out or the voltage regulator either. If the number of magnetic poles is the same as what was taken out and the field strength is the same, then you will have the same wattage output at any given RPM.

Seems to me like a LOT of effort for very little gain. He needs to run two units side by side, one stock Delcotron and a modified one to see what the wattage is for each one. A volt meter, amp meter and tach need to be hooked up to see what's what. He'd be better off just getting a big DC motor with permanent magnets in it like from an electric wheel chair and spin that up with a prop or water turbine.

This is not an invention. For this type of generators, the magnetic field id generated from a coil to control the output generated voltage. Already know if a permanent magnet is used, the output voltage will be dependent of the rotating speed of the generator, and it is not free as you will need an energy to rotate the generator. So the usefulness of electrical controlled rotating magnet is to control the output voltage. This inventor is idiot.

And the energy output is transferred to a regulator and then to batteries. End result: Free energy. Therefore, he is NOT 'idiot'.

I think this is a great step in the correct direction. Think about it, why are coils used instead of magnets in an Alternator?
The only plausible explination I have is to increase the longevity of the alternator, in case the magnet was to stop working or break for some reason. The coils are unlikely to burn up...

The alternator itself is already a generator that will produce power once you have something to make the rotor rotate. It has already with magnets and that's the purpose of those brasses. The main coil is designed to handle a limited power. Replacing the rotor coil with magnets for the purpose of cranking it up will result an overloading of your main coil.

Eagle wind turbines windblue and several others make similar permanent magnet rotors for these Delco alternators, seen on e bay regulary folks. They are never anywhere as good as a proper purpose made pmg in my experience, and i have used many, their diameter means they need very high rpm, about double of normal pma, ok for small outputs.

I have charged battery's via one wire on the negative the other end onto a non magnetic spike in the ground, this tells me when you charge a battery you are just adding more electrons to the battery, because electrons are both a wave function and a particle we should see failure to electrical systems from electron into heat transfer.

I think this kind of permanet magnet rotors do exist on motorcycles.
But you still have to rewind the stator coils to get a decent voltage. it's a bad idea anyway to use a car generator for a windmill...

Look up "stator rewind" on youtube. You'll find a few vids on the subject. The factory windings are too heavy of a gauge to start producing usable electricity at lower rpms. They are excellent for producing higher amps (65-140) at higher (1200-Up) rpms though.

Somebody skipped science class in grade school. Spinning magnets over coils... it's been in optimization for about 150 years. The reason the alternator has brushes is because the electromagnets in the rotor are still stronger than permanent neodymium magnets... The cost is the heat in the rotor... It's been worked out for about 50+ years.

oddly, you can get much better results from just using a gas generator. altenators use power regulators, where the alternator only works while the rpm's are high, and not while the rpm's are low.
