...Important points to note for any "would be ghazal singer" are ANUP JI'S facial expressions- showing no creases-struggle-sweat-which simply implies the man's confidence and hidden experience.

I am told that in real life too Mr Jalota is a very charming and affectionate gentleman.

I have been working with ustad Mehdi HASSAN- Ghulam Ali &Farida Khanum.

I have also sat with Jagjit Ji and Pankaj Udhas -I have been a Promoter of many other artists-but I have never met ANUP JI-and I was once told by Ustad Bismillah Khan-that "Anup Jalota has exceptional musical talent-rarely aquired these days-probably due to his excellent Bhajan singing skills".. I personally think he is no doubt a "University of classical Music"-We can all learn a lot from him.

Keep it up Anup JI.!

Anup u r the only sing who justified this ghazal I wish you could have extra bass in your vocal (which is a birth gift) any way i gave 100 out of 100 cuz a singer only can sing better by riyaz and learnings.... great job.

every singer has his or her on style (mostly). Habib Wali Mohammad sang and it very well, but Anup je nay bhi ziyada nirash nahie kiya, it sounds great after couple drinks.

I have been hearing Anup all these years and mind you guys he is nowhere near the level of singing that he was about 20 years ago...he sings fine but not as good as what he used to be...had he sung this Ghazal in the late 80's it would have been a massive hit.But having said that he is also my hot favourite Bhajan singer...nobody can beat him.Well rendered nevertheless.

Incomparable Anup. Some may think only in terms of Pakistani or Muslim vs anybody else. Yasir, if you don't like it, no need to bring nationalities.  As for me, I like Farida's and Asha's version as well.

His redention is much better than that of Farida and miles ahead of Asha. Asha redention of this ghazal is actually in pop and not caters to the semiclassical genre. Madam Farida's vioce is malleable so is his but his voice has a consistancy which not many classical singers have. Gulam ali for that matter has that consistancy.

I think it is very well tried and appreciated. Every one has his own style. Habib Wali is different, Iqbal Bano is different, Farida Khanum is different and above all Asha jee.
