I read once about how to become the 1%: how spirits in the material world could transcend the boundary between the two, thereby enjoying the fruits of the 1%. Put the 1% before the 99%. Do not put yourself before the 1%, but the 1% before yourself. Only then can the fruits of the 1% be enjoyed by the 99%.
Having a small population with the majority of a nation's wealth is an easy recipe for disaster. The rich would have the poor under their thumb. Being financially desperate, the poor would do anything to survive, which includes becoming a bullying minion, a meticulous mole, a glorified goon, a nosy spy, a tattle tale, a brown noser, a mistress and the list keeps on going. The rich could even prop up the poor and make the feel good. But in reality have them under their thumb.

sedwreck01 - That's one of the reasons why the US is broke. I hope Americans companies would come back to the USA because if we dont have jobs we cant buy whatever they are selling, there will be more poor people here we'll look like a 3rd world country
I also hope that American companies come back to the US and give jobs back to us. Because eventually, those who are working the jobs that Americans used to have will want the same pay we expect. And while that is happening, because Americans will have fewer high-paying jobs and the rest of the world will have them, the world as a whole will get richer and Americans will become poorer - except for the CEOs of these companies. And this is why the middle class is disappearing.
