  • Have Gun WIll Travel and Branded (once we got satelite and certain dvd collections).

All these shows and more remind me of the reason why we need to do all we can for our friends neighbors and families.

America is stuck in a rut from which there seems to be no end. There will be no end either until we stop bickering among ourselves about what rights some should have over others and start facing true equality and strengthen our economy again.

Back the US dollar for a change!

  • I know I already commented on this video before, but I have to say a few things.

My dad, being an over the road trucker/cattle hauler, wasn't really around much. In a business like that he had to stay on the road to make money. But, that's part of the sacrifices of life people must make to ensure their families are taken care of.

But whenever he was home, I always enjoyed sitting down with him and watching John wayne movies or shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke. Wagon Train, The Rifleman,

  • I have to add a name to the list of fine Americans: Walter Brennan.

  • @floridafyme

    Totally.

He seems to be one of those actors people enjoy watching and yet somehow stays off the radar for a while until you see him in a movie like Red River or Rio Bravo or in a series like The Real McCoy.

  • @GojyotheFeared Check out his acting awards and his film roles.

  • America does need more men like him. Men who wear their pants at the hip, not the crotch, no piercings in wierd places. Men who can roll up their sleaves and do a days work without whining about it, and be grateful he's got the work. Men who know right from wrong and act on it. Just good old fashioned honest men who aren't out to do in the other guy. With just enough humility not to beat his chest for doing the right thing.

  • ccmkhghh

  • God bless the uk :p

  • he was BORN on the 26, my birtday.

  • This was wonderful. John Wayne was the frst actor I ever became aware of, and he's one of my favorites even now. This was a marvelous tribute to John Wayne. The only thing I regret is that it has taken me this long to come across it.

    Happy Thoughts, ~ R.C.

  • America needs God fearing men with TRUE GRIT like John Wayne.

Be strong and show yourselves men who are prepared to fight for freedom before the Islamic invaders take over!!!!!!!

  • some one should send this video to Obama

  • I always laugh when I watch McLintock and I always cry when I watch The Green Beret. I feel pride everytime I watch Sands of Iwo Jima and nice warm tingling sensation at the Quiet Man.

Damn I wish I could have been able to watch any one of these movies when they were first released on the big screen. But I'll have to settle for restored videos at home and I'll be proud to share them with the next generation.

  • @GojyotheFeared It's never too late to watch greatness.

  • It doesn't seem like 31 years, I still cry when I watch the Cowboys.

  • did he die on May 26??

  • @XOnlyAliveForMCRX - No he did not die on May 26. That was the date for 100 years of the Duke. He was born on May 26, 1907 and passed away June 11, 1979.

  • @tjernagel my birthday is May 26(:

  • @tjernagel you are stupid and misinformed marion morrison was my cousin and he served his country at home and abroad in ways where he was most useful to make safe this land for ungrateful idiots like you.

  • @hellokittynurse - I guess I don't understand your criticism. I think the world of John Wayne (Marion Morrison). I wish America has more men like him. I miss the heck out of him. Maybe you can better explain what you mean. I don't understand.

  • Afganistan is killing your people America! For what? For GREED!! This war will go on and on until U.S. politicians have decided enough money has been made, let;s move on, start another conflict.

  • The Duke says it all and from this true American we can all learn what Americans really is.

Although he will never be forgotten more important are his words and his LOVE for our country and those who have defended her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

  • Duke made his share of mistakes in his life, just like the rest of us. I'm sure he must have had regrets along these lines. So I don't try to judge the man but I just really enjoy his movies! He certainly loved his country, i'm sure of that!

  • The Duke was 34 when World War II started and the father of 4 children so he was exempted from the draft. If he was to volunteer his medical examination showed that he would have needed to seek a wavier for his bad ankle something that was not being granted until much later in the war and never for combat troops.

  • I have two things I treasure most about him. 3 I fyou count a fair collection of his movies.

    1. A fair mix of both B and classics of his movie collection.

    2. A published book about his life where the original was written by Kathrin Hepburn.

    3. A $1 bill with his picture as he is seen in True Grit.

Even though he passed away about 5 years before I was born, I grew up on his movies and to date he is still one of my role models.

  • Excellent!

  • SWING OUT SWEET LAND

  • america needs another John Wayne...to kick these alcu and liberals asses out

  • grande homen náo te esqueço obrigado

  • GOD BLESS DUKE! Thanks for the video. John Wayne was a gift to the world.

  • Love the man.

  • GOD BLESS DUKE

    YESTERDAY..TODAY...FOREVER

    R.I.P. dear Duke

  • True hero. He would not bow to political correctness, unlike the wimps of today. He would turn in his grave if he knew what happened to USA.

  • Right on bro. Those politically correct wimps want to increase their power by taking away our freedom.

  • god bless the duke best cowboy that shall ever live, he will be missed

  • John Wayne was a great American man indeed! A+++

  • All i can say "John Wayne was the "MAN". To all of you liberals and John Wayne haters. FUCK YOU!!!! God bless America.from sea to shinning sea.

  • John Wayne was America ... he was the best actor! He must be ashamed of all the Lawsuits, bitching, and whining from the Citizens of America ... people have forgotten to be strong like he was ...

  • Can't stand the fucking idiot Rush Limbaugh and all his drones..but what does that have to do with anything...always been a fan of John Wayne..Not sure why you said , "to all the liberals". Very confusing.

  • Because people like you are pussies, that's why

  • Oh that's real intelligent. It's easy to call names over the computer. I know for a fact you would NOT say that to my face!!!!

You're probably one of those Rush Limbaugh drone idiots I was talking about, right?

  • my number is 435-669-9348 call me if you have the balls bitch. If you want my address just im me.

  • Yes. Give me the address of the criminally insane institution you're in.

  • 155 E 450 S

    St george Utah 84770

Now I must warn you I have an awful temper so if you decide to call me and better yet come and visit me I can't promise you anything. I dare you! But I know you are just like all little liberals. PUSSIES

  • Yes, that is a good idea. I'm going to travel 2500 miles to come fight you. Be honest with me...how many times have you been in prison? Insane assylums? It's people like you that give Americans a bad name. I don't believe in Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives...We are AMERICANS!!! United we wil stand....Divided we WILL fall. PERIOD!!!!!

  • I was in the USMC and went to Iraq 2 times. I have served my country and done more good for the world in a mere 27 years of my productive life than you have of your worthless 40+ years of self loathing and hate. I would beat your ass from here all the way home show show a little respect. You're a little fuck.,Nothing more nothing less.

  • You must have a serious case of "MENTAL DISORDER". Stop watching those liberal networks. If John Wayne was still alive are you going to to say those same words you say to others in front of his face. Nope you have no courage to say it.

  • One of the best well thought tributes I've seen very good job!

    "Feo, Fuerte y Formal" "

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday." as is written on his tombstone. RIP

  • John Wayne. AMERICA. : )

  • SIMPLEMENTE EL MEJOR

  • Much as you Wayne worshippers would love to, the message is NOT the issue here, is it? America is great without Wayne.

The issue here is creating a myth of a hero super-patriot around a coward who when he had the chance to serve his country ran and hid.

This is not debatable. This is fact.

  • the best western movie of all time was with terrance hill and the bambino, (my name is nobody!)

  • But see thats just my opinion, dont get shook.

  • Great video

    RIP John Wayne

  • Emosh, this is a great man, not a crybaby

someone we can be proud of. That may be an old concept, look it up

  • old or new, john wayne represents America better then anyone else!!!

  • God bless john wayne, what a giant of a man!

  • fuck you he didn't dodge the war, check up on your history

  • Comment removed

  • LazlosPlane I second that emotion.

  • Glad to see that there's a tribute to one of the biggest racist.

  • fuck you, I don't blame him if he didn't like niggers

  • You dream too much! If everyone thought of America the way hjohn wayne does it would still be a GREAT nation!! watch your language your showing your intelligence.

  • Oh, pleeeze. You prefer to believe a lie? It's like a cult here. "No truth, only what we want to believe."

Wayne was a monumental hypocrite and an insult to REAL HEROES. His OWN WIFE said explicitly that he played the "super patriot" to make up for his failings during WW II. Among servicement of the time Wayne was a no good punk.

He preferred tuxedo's to chaps, indoors to outdoors. The "tough guy" image was just that: an "image."

There. I watched my language for YOU, Joy.

  • And I appreciate that, thank you, If we all thought the same way- what good would that do? appreciate your input, dont agree with it but, appreciate it; and who knows you might be right, but I heard john wayne had an ear problem that kept him out of the military, so he did the next best thing- gave our troups hope by playing a hero. and at my age I can still remember back when, anyway thanks for watching your language old ladies dont like to hear that<bless you;

  • Thank you, but it is NOT opinion -- It is fact that Pilar, his wife, said these things, that John Ford, his mentor and best friend, never forgave him for ducking out of the war, etc, etc. Look it up. The man was no super hero. He was human.

People think I'm not a "patriot" because I say these things about Wayne, like he's the God of America.

My dad served was shot in WWII. He landed at Normandy. He told me of seeing boatloads of men explode. THOSE WERE HEROES.

    NOT WAYNE.

  • according to my 2 brothers that were in ww2 Wayne gave them hope, so they figured he was part of them, and do you treat all humans this way? hope not,

  • Treat all humans which way, Joy? Honestly? Or the way you treat Mexicans? Maybe Jews are on your list too.

    Hypocrite, like your hero, Wayne.

  • @LazlosPlane . . . ok ok he wasn't a hero, you happy now ? and MacAurthur left his Army in the Philippines when another General may have refused to leave etc etc... take your hate for the man somewhere else. my father served in Vietnam and it doesn't give me the right to think i'm the only one entitled to an opinion about American heroes. Wayne was an American period. entitled to his opinions, he did what he thought was right and inspired many Americans through his lifes work. rest his soul.

  • The only reason you have any beef with Wayne is because he was a conservative. You probably never voted for Ronald Reagan either and feel the same way toward him. Wayne was a movie star, and a good one. If there were contradictions in his life, then so what? He wasn't running for political office. He just made good movies that are still enjoyed. Celebrities today have outspoken political views and contradictions. They make millions through capitalism and yet cry for socialism.

  • My God, the winner in the biggest asshole contest, tuckamania.

Who the goddam fuck are you to GUESS at what I have against Wayne, when I've been very clear on it. Fuck you.

Because I honor the REAL heroes too much to pay tribute to this piece of shit coward who made millions from portraying HIMSELF as a super patriot. When in fact, when the time came he RAN AND HIDE. Some fucking hero.

Again, fuck you, go fuck yourself, and fuck you and John Wayne.

  • Oooh, must have hit a nerve there. Obviously there must have been some truth in my statement. Your profanity really hammers your point very well.

  • That stupid, old cliche. The last resort of the moron.

Isn't it possible that my anger is the result of your inabiliity to make a point, to attack me personally without addressing the issue, and your overall stupidity, so common among "Real Americans," these days?

    Huh????

  • "Real Americans," so your attack on Wayne is really an attack on America itself. I think your true intentions have been revealed and liberals always cuss a storm when they have been cornered. You wouldn't know a hero if one bit you in the ass. How are your feelings toward the Founding Fathers like Washington, Madison or Jefferson?

  • How can you hate John Wayne..just the way world is changing I guess...The weak shall inherit the world..I hope not...John Wayne was black and white..That's the way life should treated. No more gray area's. That's for the weak.

  • John Wayne was not a Republican. He was an Independent. He had huge issues with Ronald Reagan. Look it up.

  • Are you just trying to pick an argument here or do you really believe that? Yes John Wayne was indeed a Republican, he even spoke at the 1972 Republican National Convention. He endorsed Reagan twice for governor of California even going so far as to make a campaign commercial for him. The only time and I mean the only time Wayne disagreed with Reagan was over the Panama Canal issue in the late 70's. Look it up.

  • No, it's a tribute to one of the greatest movie stars who still makes the top ten harris poll of favorite movie stars every year despite being dead for 30 years.

  • Glad to see that there's a tribute to one of the biggest racist.

  • Check out your facts about Wayne before ya engage the yapper!

  • THE DUKE RULES !!!

  • liberal faggot

  • hooray for gay slurs. and im not liberal, so go fuck yourself.

  • fag

  • i think your just uncomfertable with your sexuallity and you feel it necessary to slur homosexuals.

  • did you say you are a fag

  • no sir. and even if i was, id still be more manly than you =D

  • fag

  • yes, u r

  • It's tax time and I presume you were Mr. Hope's accountant? Could you do my return for me?

    Thanks

  • Whenever I view these posts I see politics. How much politics do you see in the Duke's movies. Politics is all about polemics and criticizing people/nations safely from afar. The Duke was about getting right up in the face of evil where you can actually recognize it for what it is and having the guts to give it the thrashing it desperately deserves. Leave Vietnam to the Vietnamese and Arabia to the Arabs and lets focus on the suited villains in our own country and neighborhoods.

  • Can you please tell me the name of the music that starts at 3:13 in your video....or where it's from?

  • You are the one who is a phony and doesn't see the importance of movies that support our troops. We won WW II, WW I and all of the others because people like him let the troops know that the country was behind them all the way. We did not win in Vietnam because every time he tried to speak out for the war he was silenced, so was Bob Hope and many others.

  • It's funny how you deride the "typical" Republican, and then say you admire Bob Hope. He was just about as Republican as you can get! So there goes your collectivist mindset! "Typical" liberal!

  • The media and youre anti-war rallies lost. Unfortunately the soldiers who fought there were the ones who had to carry your defeatist baggage, because you were all smug self-righteous drones of the communist league of dingleberries.

  • Hang in there sweety, I know its true, old ladys remember, I was there back then,J.Wayne had an inner ear problem that kept him out, So thank God he did the next best thing, Got my 2 brothers back home safe from # 2,

  • thank you .. just right!!!

  • Thanks for posting. Duke was great.

  • Gives me chills. John Wayne is the greatest celebrity to grace the screens of hundreds of the greatest films in history.

  • Blasphemy!

  • John Wayne for president!

  • i do like the john wayne way

  • We need more John Wayne's. Thanks for posting this tribute to the Duke.

  • This was John Wayne all the way !

    Chilibill

  • This one is for Vic The only John Wayne fan.

  • He was the real deal. A real man. His movies hold up well today.

  • He could not join the army if he wanted to. He was 4-F due to a football knee injury.

  • Yes, he was. Its a fact that he tried to join, and for more then one reason couldnt. Give it up man, your on every video about him, and you continue to lie and make an ass of your self with your goofy name, stupid logic, and made up bullshit.

  • In my opinion the reason why liberals hate him is because he could not be sold out to the highest bidder, I mean nowadays an actor can be paid to endorse a campaign. F.D.R. told him that he did not have to join and he knew the situation better than any of us so I think we should let history be left in the past and work on our future to make the U.S. a better place to live.

  • Too bloody right, Indy. I love this guy and all he represented.

  • Hey Lobbiesforme, you freak, your obviously NOT an American, what a jealous half wit, you wouldnt know a good actor if he bit you in the butt mate, I am from Australia and John Wayne is loved here as much as over there. Get a life mate, I bet your fav actor is Noddy!!!

  • If only we had the duke still with us. we need more people like him, who truely loved America. He is the first person that comes to mind when I think of the word patriotism. We miss you John Wayne.

  • Does anyone else remember an exhibit at Disneyland in Anaheim where they had a crosscountry view of America in a 360 degree screen? I sure liked that and they played it to America The Beautiful. That was my favorite exhibit.

  • Compared to the current crop of losers in Hollywood, the Sean penns, George Clonneys, etc, Wayne was no comparison...He WILL BE remembered, as for the other losers in 60 yrs no one will even recall their names. As for not serving in the military, a certain Past President, and one running now never served either. Wayne's love of America and family was true, not phoney.

  • I love this video, everytime I play it I get goosebumps and it's not just the Duke's voice, but the words to the music of America The Beautiful.

  • Amazing tribute. Captures the spirit of The Duke 100%.

  • Back in the days when men wrer real men...no black nailpolish for the duke.

  • I'm glad everyone can have their own opinion, because opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

  • Thank you for posting this, John Wayne was the greatest actor, greatest human being to ever have walked the face of this earth. There will never, ever be anyone like him.

  • He's my favorite too. He's like the Dad everyone wished they could have picked. Some one you could count on for good advice and to emulate.

  • This world and this country will never be the same without him. There will never be another John Wayne.

  • John Wayne was one of the greatest movie stars and still as popular today as he was in his heyday, while most of his fellow stars are now long forgotten. His critics say he was not a good actor, yet his career lasted fifty years. They say he was a biggot yet he campaigned against racism and had no prejudice against gays or any other social group. They seem to hate him most because he wore his patriotism on his sleeve, loved his country and wasn't ashamed to say so. "Duke" will never be forgotten

  • YES!!!! we should all be as patriotic!!!

  • This was wonderful!!! What a fine tribute. Hats off to you for taking the time to make it.

  • I love this video, thank you! 5 stars.

  • HE was a real man, at least his image was an ideal to try to achieve for men of those days. We need some more good examples of good Americans, but they're not all going to look like John Wayne. They might not all be men, or even have been born men. But we need them all and we need them now. America needs its protectors especially now when its so much easier to knock this country while hiding behind a keyboard. God bless America.

  • you know there are many folks who have passed from here to eternity. john wayne,Ron Reagan, kate smith, margret thatcher, i'ld love to have them back. but you know its up to us to keep the right things alive. we are the hope!

  • Beautifuly said.

  • If only today's men could live up to the standards of a John Wayne... there are so few like him left. Most of them are protecting us overseas.

  • I do. And many other men. And most of humanity. You are not alone.

  • God Bless John Wayne and all America! May the British and The Americans be united in friendship and committed to upholding democracy and freedom everywhere. An inspiration to many.

  • Men like him are harder to find nowdays.A true american.

  • God bless John Wayne and God bless the U.S.A.!

  • Remember how they used to play 2 movies and a cartoon at the theatres? Well this is what they should play before every movie,in every theatre, all across our beautiful country.

  • Amen, Katey. A-Men!

  • I hope one day to open a John Wayne museum in Texas, with wax figures and memoribilia.

  • I have to appologize, I was using my sons name, Katey1dog, he has reminded me to check my log in name, I'm Violet2048, And John Wayne is the pinacle of a patriot, and I truely believe with a little work at home, we can bring back this kind of patriotism.

  • John Wayne was one of the finest American Men. He was a true mentor to the United States and stood for Honor & Brotherhood.

He was a true American Legend.

Thank you for making us proud~

  • Just Awesome! There will never be another John Wayne; the Duke was one of a kind; a true American Hero!

  • He was the real deal. A real man. His movies hold up well today.

  • John Wayne is what, in part America is all about! There will never be anyone like him again, that portraies a man with such hig ideals and "True Grit", thanks a true fan!

  • John Wayne, may long live your America.

Punch Bush on the nose. And for us, uppercut to Blairs jaw.

UK and America forever friends, but not bad men.

  • The Duke for Pres.!!

  • Im very impressed with this video, its a fitting tribute to the Duke, thanks for making it! God Bless The Duke, and God Bless America

  • not only fiting for the duke, he represented America, he showed how the best of the Americans really were, we all just didnt have the opportunity to go public like he did, bless john wayne ,and no he wasnt racist, pilar was from mexico, so stop dumping on our heros!

  • "PIlar was from Mexico." !!!

What is THAT supposed to mean, Joy dear?

Bit of a bigot, are we? Mexican, so her words can't be trusted? Mexican, so she's lying?

Wayne married her, Joy. He didn't marry YOU.

    Disgraceful.

  • nO SWEETY DIDNT MEAN IT IN THAT WAY, NOW i REALIZE ALOT OF THESE COMMENTS ARE MISSREAD, Im no bigot or racist, I pointed that out because it was the most well known fact that John Wayne wasnt a bigot and racist, Sorry if I offended you, but think about what you read, You sound like you may have a chip your daring someone to knock off, be good- I love good people!

  • God Bless John Wayne!

  • Thinking on my earlier comment for someone to reserch the facts (regarding WWII deferment for "a bad back"). Wikipedia says "Wayne was exempted from service due to his age (34 at the time of Pearl Harbor) and family status, classified as 3-A (family deferment)." As a veteran, I'm still satisfied with the man's life work. In short, I'll stick with "... print the legend." Good philosophy.

  • This was GREAT!! I love and miss the Duke. He was a great actor! Very nice video!

  • Nothing like the sound of John Wayne's voice to stir up some patriotic feelings! Thanks for posting this and for making me have a good cry!

  • This made me cry! =Stefan=

  • Yep!

  • People that disparage John Wayne are like my useless "Bro in law". A disgruntled professor that blames everyone else for his own sorry choices in life. Look out for them when they are off their Prozac. Libs need it to handle reality.

  • John Wayne wouldn want such a large tribute for him. He would want us to pay honor to the real hero's of America. The troops. Be it dead or alive bless them.God bless him for what he stood for but truly bless the ones who fought for us. That is what the duke would want.

  • Thank you so much for teh video. It is amazing, just as he was. He was the emobdiment of America and the spirit of America. Beautiful video!

  • Thank you so much for this tribute to John Wayne. What a wonderful clip. I have taken the liberty to send it to all my contacts as a backdrop to the upcoming election. May God send us another man as quintessentially American as John Wayne.

  • his voice still takes me though life .john wayne you ask me why i love you because you are the greatest .happiness is watchin you

  • Your thoughtfulness, respect, and time spent paid off tremendously. I too associate John Wayne as my Dad's hero; my Dad is mine.

  • R.I.P John Wayne the true American Hero Q i have to choose between John Wayne And Bono from U2 as my Roll Model fr a School Project Witch 1

  • Bono isn't an American, although he is a good hearted man.John Wayne is an American icon. They don't come more red, white and blue then Mr. Wayne was.He died of lung cancer from smokin'.

  • This is what America was built on, John was a true American and a Hero

  • i belive with all my heart that john wayne was one of the true americans in this world he believes in GOD and HIS Country.and He would Be the first to punch our goverment right in the mouth and the people for not taking up for our troops today.

  • I am not american but I agree with these comments!

Guys, just be aware, "political correctness" is corrupting your way of life.

  • I couldn't agree more! We are losing what America stands for.
