Yuhui Choe is magnificent!!! She has this cute little smile but manages to look so seductive and evil at the same time!
The guy was pretty boring though... And I HATE this version of Swan Lake, especially Odile's solo. I think she would've looked much better doing the version that ABT did....
The only minus in this vid is the ticka tape description following across the bottom..just a little distracting...but that said, this was an Absolute,Brilliant & Enjoyable Viewing Satisfaction..The camera skills are outstanding along with the sets, costumes & lighting..& yes i counted 32 ( i think ) famous pirouette's into the bargain...Thanks for posting....It's Appreciated...
and also her balances are usualy amazing, but the end of her fouettes, i love how she pulled it off with changing the arms! a true ballerina always gets things wrong and corrects them perfectly. :)
she is so pretty and cute! but to me, the prince is just... emotionless. just look at 00:33 - 00:41 ... ridiculous. But Choe's odile is spectacular, even if she isn't a flexirina. :)
Is this the ghastly Bolshoi version? Choe will look much better in the Covent Garden setting. She's a lovely dancer and deserves better than this. As ever nowadays the speeds in this performance vary from to sedate to funereal, and then suddenly speed up. How can dancers generate tension and excitement?
Wow, i'm impressed by Choe's interpretation. Her port de bra is so delicate, but her dynamics make it so....Odile! I really enjoy watching Yuhui, thanks for uploading :)
I knew Choe's white swan would be wonderful because her lyrical and softness in dancing has always been applauded by critics. What I didn't expect was for her black swan to be so great. I felt myself being filled with dread thinking about how the prince was going to break Odette's heart afterwards. Excusing a few technical wobbles, she has gorgeous port de bras.
I hope that someone in the Royal Ballet has watched this broadcast and gives Choe more opportunities to do Swan Lake! She's wonderful!
She is spectacular. perfect for Odile . thanks for the video

Wow! She at first appears to be too sweet and innocent to play a good Odile, but holy hell she proved me wrong!

I love this entrance for Odile and, of course, the alternate music! It would truly be hard for the Prince to resist this Odile!!!
