I think it would have been more helpful if you counted the step sequence several times instead of just once. Also I would recommend emphasizing the opening up step on 3. In my opinion that's the key to successfully leading a cross body lead.

Well actually they are dancing on 2 so the guy opens up on beat 1. If they dance on 1, the guy opens up on beat 3. i agree that they need to break it down more.

Cgutierrez00, they start dancing by going back, which would imply on 2, but they count on 1 for sure. Look at the last cross body lead that they do at 1:06. She counts the steps. She counts 1-2-3 while she is going back then finishes the count 5-6-7 while she is being led across--that is on 1! Maybe that's why they didn't count because they realize they'd only confuse people. I think the other expertvillage video that shows the cross body lead is far superior to this one AND is on 2.
