  • to all you hater's that think the origianl was better your not hard core fan's of horror's ,the origianl made around $60mil worldwide in 1978 ,this rob zombie remake Although it was a success and opened at number #1 at the box office with $26 million, It would go on to gross over $78mil, his biggest hit yet and the highest grossing Halloween film of all time.,look it up

  • @SalsaShark109 I have to disagree with you. 5 and everything after that were bad, I'm a die hard fan so I can still drag out some degree of pleasure from them. 4 is a different story. 4 is actually legit. It a great sequel and is second to only the original itself in my book.

  • I really enjoyed the film. I think if anyone was going to remake it, it should be someone like Rob Zombie. I have to say this "Halloween 3D" really pisses me off though. Plus, if you people are going to make fun of movies, you should try 3-6. Those are truly terrible. I'll give you that the second Zombie one was really bad, but this is pretty good, just a different take on the original. I actually liked this one and H20 more than the original second film.

  • The thing about the movie is, that after they explain the back story. Michael Myers doesn't feel like Michael Myers. He feels like a guy wearing a Michael Myers mask. If that makes any sense.

  • Unlike many people, I don't think this movie was completely bad. I do think that Daeg Faerch made this movie, though.

  • Dr. Sam Loomis: I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes.. the *devil's* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply evil.

  • OK for all you critics.. i'm not bashing u .. i agree theirs nothing like the original . I can still hear Donald Pleasance voice say . I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... *evil*. This was simply a revision by Zombie to add more of a backstory Wasnt a bad movie at all --and this was an example of the cash cow studio's trying to suck the life out of a classic

  • "behind this director's eyes one only finds blackness, the lack of any talent to make a movie in the most rudimentary sense" -Samuel Loomis

  • i liked this more then the 1st one but the 2nd one is just rubbish.

  • Not trying to be rude or receive any hate; but I like the original one better. I don't know, it's just the original one is so simple and uses old fasion recording devices, and I feel like that makes it more scary. And everything in this one is just so hectic; Michael just seems so much more... calm with his way of killing in the original.

  • Damn you Rob Zombie! >:(

  • damn, that big Michael Myers should really mess with someone his own size like Debo from the movie friday..

  • should've never been fucked with.

  • hey it was a descent film. it could have improved but still it was descent!

  • I got to say it was a good movie. The reason I didn't like it though of course because of the original. The original was better for many of reasons. One being is that in the new one, they tried WAY to hard trying to show that the 3 girls were just such good friends, it was to strong. Then the new Laurie, she was WAY overdramatic, I usually don't say this but at times I was like "omg kill this girl already" lol. I mean she'd be hiding & is screaming. She made the movie unscary & annoying.

  • Leave the classic original HALLOWEEN alone!!!

  • Both movies were awesome but you have to admit, the first one was a little cheesy. When Judith was being murdered, she wasn't screaming like a normal person would if they were being stabbed

  • seriously this movie wasn't that bad and i don't know why people hate on it so much. I liked it a lot and I'm a huge fan of the original and nothing will ever beat it but this movie was awesome in its own way. I will say though, the sequel did kind of suck. The killings were cool but the storyline was blah

  • im scaried people are you

  • I know that original is original but this movie was 100 times better then the original. i bet everyone thinks that, they are just saying that original is better becouse is original.

  • @savevbane I get where your coming from with that, but if you watch the orginal series & learn the characters & what not, you definitely like the original more. It's more scarier. This one was full of dramatic scenes & the acting wasn't the best. A lot of the scary parts in the new one irritated me because the acting wasn't all that good. That's why most people like the old version more. It had way more to it. It was actually scary unlike this one. Just my view though.

  • I like the first part of the movie, the part where michael is a kid, the second part where he is an adult I didn't care for, I liked the old one better.

  • And the sequel to this remake would was VERY, VERY GOOD..until all the ghostly bullshit with his mother...and that whole nonsense. Michael was more vicious and brutal in the sequel...

  • This trailer had me all hyped up....too bad the movie was complete SHIT compared to the ORIGINAL...

  • i loved this one the 2nd remake sucked

  • okay i have one thing to ask, for all of you who hate remakes why did you watch it?!

  • DONT FUCK WID DA ORIGINALS

  • I liked this.... I dont know why people are always hatin'

  • @ImAwesomeAndYouKnow8 the mystic thing with this movie is michael myers is played by a girl as 10 years old, and he is getting height 2.06 and his taller then jason voorhees who is 1.96 and originally is michael 1.90 meters, i miss the old movies...

  • @ElectricKimmy I hope you're joking about Daeg being a girl.

  • best halloween movie and took halloween and made it original and made him scary again.....

  • this remake is the biggest piece of shit ive seen in a while

  • Comment removed

  • I love this series, It's well done and really scary.

but i like this one more than the others, because it's a remake and it's a good one.

It also shows how things can go really wrong..

  • Thumbs up if you liked both the original Halloween and original Halloween 2.

  • does anyone know where i can see this and the 2009

  • this is my faviort halloween movie

  • they should have casted a different kid though.....in the original his family wasnt white trash either

  • @elstreetfighter what was wrong with the kid they casted? Personaly I think no one could have done it better.

  • micheals mom is hotttt

  • Great remake.

  • I liked this one, but kinda hated the second one (especially the ending)

  • The original was great and I think this was the best remake I've seen. This wasn't a horror movie that started out with some crazy dude going around killing people lol. It helped you understand how he became what he is and showed a different side of the monster and then the side we all know. I didn't think it destroyed or ruined the franchise at all because in the original I always wanted to know how and why he became a killer. I felt this version helped me better understand it and that's why I

  • I didn't really get it at the end.. did the girl shoot him with the bullet or did the movie end with that the killer hold the girls hand ?

  • the 1978 version was way better <3

  • this movie is great better then halloween resurrection that movie sucked

  • I liked this one. The second Rob Zombie "Halloween," not so much.

  • this is nothing like the original halloween, i wish they countinued off were halloween resurrection ended

  • ima watch this tonight

  • I didnt like this one as much as the ones before it only because the feel was different from the original although it was pretty good

  • One question - 15 years ago when Laurie was a baby, and Michael killed Judith, it was either the 60's or 70's. Now 15 years in the future it's modern times. How on Earth did this come to be? Is Rob trying to imply 15 years ago it was the 70s/60s?

  • They never reveal if Annie lives. We just see her father telling her the paramedics on their way.

  • The new Laurie wasn't half bad.

  • All this movie does is make him more butch and the murder scenes more graphic and upsetting (especially in 2) - Laurie isn't even someone I want to survive in the remakes :S She is no good girl!

  • @paulac2006 the old Laurie wasn't so innocent smoking a joint

  • For crying out loud LEAVE THE CLASSIC'S ALONE!!!

  • @GoneButNotForgottenn

Don't like it?Don't fuckin' watch it. Simple as that.

  • thumbs up if you liked the original better

  • the original film is deng

  • one of the best film remakes in history of cinema

  • this is really good but nothing beats the original!

  • i liked the sequel. it focused more on the character then the suspence

  • its not as scary as the old ones were and the second one i thought suck because thier making it like the girl is going to be the next Killers which i hate cause then it just ruineds everything.

  • Why are people hating on this movie? Of course the sequel sucked ass but 2007 one was better than the origanal it gives more detail and what Michael has been through. But that's just my opinion.

  • Am I the only one who feel sorry for Mikey? Poor boy :/

  • I love this one a lot better than the old one. It tells & shows you what made him crazy. Because the old one just started out when He killed His Sister. There was no background story.

  • Amazing I just finished watching it

  • once youve scene someone get repeatedly stabbed the sound alone scars you but watch it again and again and u get over it so it was a good movie but the stabbs get two repetitive. i feared him for a while but look up his backround story and u understand him more

  • This movie scared the shit out of me!!! :( who would think of something like that??

  • @mackpicton The person who thought of making the film ;)

  • @aleysha97 Who ever they are.... They are very screwed up in the head!

  • @mackpicton Well don't watch scary films =/

  • this was actually a good movie. i love how he invisioned michael myers and gave him a more psychotic and killer view. i love this movie

  • I hate rom zombie for remaking this moive. A disgrace to the Halloween fan community. You can't beat the orginal.

  • is this movie scary?

  • @pedruiix no not really i watched it when i was 12 so of your older you'll be fine, watch it with someone though

  • 0:40 is that a boy or girl?

  • @solarsoul2012 boy, i had the same question when i first saw it

  • @chifilms Thanks, I couldn't tell either the first time I saw this.

  • @solarsoul2012 np :)

  • they are making a 3 Halloween for 2012 :)

  • This movie was ALOT better than the remake of Friday the 13th

  • F U Rob Zombie! U made Michael looks like a druggie

  • That was weird it didn't show any before and now it does

  • Y havnt u got any comments

  • michael killed cause the thorn people told him too

  • i loved the 2007 remake , because it gave a monster a soul , i cant decide what one i liked better , the new one or the old one , although i hated the sequals to both halloween movies

  • @screamfan231 Actually, Michael wasn't bullied I think. It might be because he was influenced with something called I think it was Rose of Thorn. But remember, i might not be right

  • @MoonlightPrism123 That Thorn theory was something they made up in Halloween 6: The Curse, but in Halloween H20 they ignored that.. Still this movie is nowhere the level of the original movies imo.

  • THE ORIGINAL IS WAY BETTER!!!!!

  • I loved this movie, i thought it was a lot better then the sequel

  • Comment removed

  • the scaricest movie ever

  • trailer was better than the actual movie

  • i like this movie bc he gave michael a backstory to why he did what he did instead of makeing him a silent monster with no purpose

  • @screamfan231 tbh I liked the fact he was a silent monster with no purpose lol. All those stories make it less good for me (in this movie I mean).

  • @screamfan231 Him being a silent monster with no purpose who simply kills because he's evil is what made him scary in the first place you dumbass, this movie he kills because he gets bullied and his family contains a few assholes, like seriously, lame.

  • @hmc117 couple of things one dont call me a dumbass. second yeah i know thats what made him scary but now to me it doesnt make him scary. third i liked that he was given a backstory so you arent as scared and almost sympothise with him.

  • @screamfan231 Why would you not want to be scared? IT'S A HORROR FILM AND HE'S A SERIAL KILLER!!!

  • @hmc117 i get that when i first saw the orignal i was scared shitless and could never watch it again years later i got up the courage to watch it the reason for me that he is not scary is bc of all the movies that have been released they ruined micheal at first he was a senceless killer to really complicated first after his sister then his niece its like he had a goal instead of just to kill everyone

  • @screamfan231 Then you just ignore the sequels when you watch the original, thats what i do. Don't get me wrong, i don't think this movie is bad, i was enjoying it until Michael escapes from the mental hospital, then i just felt really bored because it was pretty much a copy of the original. Halloween 2 though, now thats a bad movie.

  • @screamfan231 I disagree completely.

The thing that made this movie horrible for me is because they showed too much of Michael. They had Dr. Loomis in the original; that was enough information about him that you needed.

The less you know about the character, the more scary he becomes because you don't know his motives or what he's going to do next therefore making him an unpredictable killing machine.

Rob Zombie CAN make good movies. He needs to make another one like "The Devil's Rejects".

  • @AandR1408 i agree that they should have shown less of micheal bc it would be scarier like the original but you dont want to wacth a direct remake of the movie

  • @screamfan231 Well no, but he could have at least developed tension. That's what made the first film so great, but then again, the attention span of today's generation is so fucked up that it wouldn't even appeal to most of today's teenagers.

"Oh no, an hour of waiting for a perfect climax so we can get to know the characters? Where's my tits and violence?"

    Christ.

  • @AandR1408 agreed now all there is is just remakes and theres nothing new all most horrorm movies now are about sex and violence

  • @screamfan231 I think that ruins the character. The thing that makes him scary in the original is because you don't know anything about him, which makes him less human and more of a monster. Knowing why he does it makes him more human and because of that, less scary.

  • @nekokonekosama Couldn't of said it better. I grew up on Halloween & never knew why he was doing it until after a while you catch on. That's why people in my time era are saying"oh the new one is better" because they already know the story behind it which makes the original look even more dumber for people who haven't even seen it. Then when they see it they like the new one more because they have answers in which is the whole mystery of the movie in the first place.

  • @krinkels101

Michael Myers is a psychopath. He can't feel emotions. Therefore he doesn't know how to have a relationship with somebody.

  • I doubt any of you "classic supporters" could give a reason why one alright remake ruined its franchise (not just talking about Halloween).

  • Why are people always bitching about remakes "killing" the classics?

Really, there classics are cool and all, but then remakes are also really cool. Even if they are really bad, it doesn't mean that "oh the whole franchise is ruined omg trololol" The only movie in my eyes that fulfilled that is Friday the 13th Remake, that was literally basically like a porno.

Ya know, classic doesn't always mean better. Besides, if you don't even like the remake, then stop being a dick and GTFO.

  • @Jumb0Media Halloween (1978) is my favourite all time movie. i can't believe what Rob Zombie did to it. unbelieavable! stop destroying classic movies! Rob Zombie was probably high when he was directing this film...

  • I'm sorry, but they turned Myers into a trailer trash redneck. The thing that made Michael so scary to begin with was because he is pure evil. Rob Zombie attempting to explain the reason behind his madness is utterly lame. I don't want to sympathize with Michael or any killer for that matter. Just keep it simple. Michael is evil. Don't turn him into a human being with feelings. What an awful remake.

  • you're a pussy if you actually think the original was scary. the stabbings sounded like he was poking them with his finger and it was very predictable

  • I actually like the remake. I think it is quite brutal and fresh, nothing wrong with those Rob Zombie movies. I like them

  • This is one of the few sequels that is actually just as good, if not better than the original. It dives deeper into Michael's childhood and reason for killing. Remember when he killed the bully by beating him to death with a huge stick? That thing was the size and weight of 3 freakin baseball bats. All i'm saying is that if you look at this movie from all angles, the original might come out better. But Rob sure as hell gave the original a run for its money if it is.

  • The sad part is, all the people here that are bashing this flick will be praising it in 10+ years. Mark my words, this (and it's sequel) will be regarded as a classic.

  • @thatdoomguy666, Not really, the reason why the original Halloween is considered a classic and great is because it was focused on suspense, atmosphere and the killer........ in which all of that was taken out of this film, personally I like this movie especially compared to the sequel but it's not "classic" worthy because it didn't bring anything new like the original Halloween did, Micheal was dumbed down, Laurie and Loomis weren't likable and the entire film had no suspense.

  • @tjmack010 It will be. Right now, many people consider this film a piece of shit. Well, go back to when the Friday the 13th films were released. EVERYONE hated them, and now people are absolutely in love with them. The Friday the 13th series is now praised and is considered a cult classic. If you want to be critical about everything you'll see that most of the horror movies that are considered classics are in reality pieces of shit. Again, you'll see, it will be considered a classic.

  • better then the original

  • Anybody remember what movie the trailer originally premiered with back in 2007? I can't remember.

  • I like this remake both of them. Way better than the crappy Nightmare on Elm Street remake.

  • Maybe not as strong as the original, but it's one of the better films of the franchise, by a lot. This flick is pretty cool even though there are a flaws and plotholes. There could have been a lot of work done, but oh well. It's also one of the best remakes out of all the very crappy flicks that came out in that decade. Way to go

  • noir stfu stop cryn god dam i cnt take at least hes makn serious money

  • I liked this better then the original, had a great origin story unlike the original.

  • most times I like the remake better then the original but halloween [1978] is way better then this piece of crap Rob Zombie and if this is not proof check out halloween 2 [2009]

  • I can remember originally seeing this trailer and almost shitting my pants in excitement in the theater at 0:34. When I saw the movie, I still enjoyed the movie very much and consider it the best out of the more recent horror remakes, but there were two things about it that I wasn't a big fan of: #1, was the amount of sex in the movie. In the Director's Cut there are 4 sex scenes. #2 is the lack of suspense. There were scenes here and there, but it wasn't done as good as the original. 7/10.

  • Most of these horror remakes are more porno than horror.

  • ...God, I remember watching this trailer for the first time...it looked so good and when I saw the movie....Can't even describe the disapointment....

  • Fantastic Movie

  • Out of all the people they picked to make a remake of Halloween it had to be Rob Zombie I mean I like some of his music but most of his movies are way too serous and vulgar wheres the humor Michael Myers being the offspring of white trash the stripper mom, the drunk idiot, I don't care if its a remake or a re- whatever I don't wanna know nothing about Michael Myers that makes it less scary to watch most remakes should follow the Texas Chainsaw mass., and Red Dragon example don't change the char.

  • SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!! God, what an disgusting, graphic rape of an awesome, creepy classic. I mean, saying "Fuck" every second, unspeakeble, disgusting violence and pornographic nudity dont make a good movie. Maybe for 12 year old boys, but not for people that want a great classic. Another huge problem is that its no suspense. This is not horror, but just mind-dead tortureporn!

  • I think this one is really good but fucked up because of a remake

  • lool i only watch remakes duno why originals bore me :/

  • wow. yet another fucking remake. Is there any imagination and originality left in Hollywood these days?

  • This movie sucks because it's a crap remake, but also just as a film it is terrible. There is too much story for one movie. To have a good background story, Rob should have focused more on the characters and developed them. Made them likeable so the audience gives a shit. Same with the second half. Focus on character development. This felt like two different movies. Instead, Zombie cares more about the bloodshed which shows he cannot scare the audience only disgust them.

  • @nmoravec1 Yeah and the only change Zombie has made to these movies is that everyone's a jerk they all deserve to die (like for example 3 dumb red necks start to pick a fight with Michael oh guess who wins), and Michael Myer's is the only good guy in these movies, and gees even Laurie AND Loomis are jerks in these movies.

  • @nmoravec1 Dude did you ever see Halloween 5, they made the characters go through development through the whole movie. So much of it that the killer, Michael Myers, the guy with NO SOUL, cries.

  • @TuxmanV What development? They were stock cardboard cutout characters. Tina is the most annoying bitch in cinema and her friends were just typical, stupid, annoying, horny teens looking to get drunk and screw (the sex scene in the barn is just filler). As for the scene with Michael crying. It would make sense if there was a reason for it. H5 was a rushed production and had so many rewrites and revisions they would have put anything in to fill time. H5 is a bullshit excuse for a film.

  • @nmoravec1 Lol WTF was I thinking? Know what really sucks though? ( I got this right) In these abominations that people call remakes, Rob Zombie only has two types of characters. The one type is normal people, and the other type is people that swear too much, and they act like they have a mental disorder. In H2 Laurie and ALL HER FRIENDS ARE the Second Type.

  • @TuxmanV very true. But the real fact is that all the characters in Rob Zombie films are hicks and not normal. Rob needs to move on and do other things. I know he loves the '70s, but when you are setting a film in modern day, it doesn't make sense when every character looks like one of the Oak Ridge Boys, swears a lot, is obnoxious, perverted, and downright stupid and unlikeable. I don't like or care for any of Rob's films because they are all the same and have the same characters.

  • @nmoravec1 Totally right. But, the comparison to Mike Myers on the talk show was just ridiculous. Seriously not even the fans compared Michael Myers to Austin Powers.

  • @nmoravec1 lol rob zombie has a obsession with redneck horror.

  • @nmoravec1 fuck you Rob Zombies remake was AMAZING, of course wasnt better than the original but he did a fucking fantastic job, so stop hating and pretending like you didnt piss your prissy little pants

  • @boriquamamii60 you sound very smart according to your comment. As I ask every moron who finds this film "amazing", WHY? There is nothing remotely scary about this garbage. You are obviously a moronic gorehound who only likes gore scenes in films for no reason or a mindless Rob Zombie jerk-off who has no real opinion about the films he has done. But seriously, if you are going to put down my opinion of this film, give a real reason...

  • @nmoravec1 I know what you mean. I saw part of this movie or some movie were a guy wore this mask when I was eleven and I like predictied how this one guy was gonna die and I was totaly right then I decided the movie was very stupid and changed the channel.

  • @nmoravec1 I understand your reasoning but I'd like to point out that this is Rob Zombie's style, and personally I like it. If you've seen some of his other films, House of 1000 Corpses or Devil's Rejects, it isnt about the character development, which arguably makes certain films scarier, it's about the psychosis . His movies aren't always about horror, and while Halloween is a horror film, Zombie's creativity takes horror and turns into something new.

  • @laurenngg I respect your opinion but I have to disagree. There is nothing new about this film. Just by the look, it looks like the Michael Bay Platinum Dunes horror remakes of the last ten years (loud noise, shaky cam, etc.). Plus, adding a backstory is the most unoriginal idea to a horror remake and it does not work. Although I will say that on your opinion about character development is correct in the context if you look at Rob Zombie's Halloween in a Grindhouse exploitation style. But...

  • Rob Zombie meant this to be real and scary. It's not. I know every director has their own style, but Rob Zombie's does not work for this material. It's laughable and stupid. Honestly, bucket loads of gore, perverted rednecks, tons of nudity, and pervasive language does not work for a serious horror film. For a film that is supposed to be serious and horrifying, the audience NEEDS to care about its characters otherwise they don't care and its boring. There's more to horror than gore and nudity.

  • what an appropriate name for the director of horror movies.

  • is rob going to remake the whole sereis?

  • maybe mr. zombie is remaking the whole halloween series halloween 2 2009 is already out

  • classic theme song :D love it soo much :D

  • they should have released it on october 30

  • @Thejordlord23 its because they want the halloween movies to be "summer" movies and make a shit-ton of money. they used to release the films in october but haven't done that since Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

  • All girls do in movies is scream and don't do shit.

  • @xXxIPOCKSxXx117 Not true! They get laid, naked or murdered. Some survive but they are usually not the ones who show flesh.

  • why didnt they just make halloween 9 instead?

  • Rob Zombie!! That's better than Tallulah Does The Hulla From Hawaii.

    Yes, it's a real name.

  • why did rob zombie go and remake the movie halloween cant he come up with his own ideas seriously its just like your friend in kindergarden painted a picture of a tiger and then you draw tiger and try and make it better but its not and ppl say thts not a good tiger and the painting of the tigers are halloween 1978 and halloween 2007 and the 2 kids are john carpenter and rob zombie

  • Heres a cool thing about this movie. The girl who plays Michael's big sister is the now older and sexy little Jenny from Forrest Gump. "Run Forest!! Run!!"

  • Michael Miers

  • I give it a 4 out of 5. It was pretty good for a remake. I would say better than the first hands down.

  • @marinvee How was it better? Michael Myers appearnce isnt the same. The awesome music isnt the same. And the classic was built on suspence. No blood or anything it was suspensful. This was gorey porno

  • I thought the rape scene in this film was really unnecessary.

  • @veronica9956 They are all unnecessary. It's for the shock value.

  • Carpenter fucking OWNS Zombie.

  • I <3 this movie... just not all the sex in it. I don't MIND fucking in movies... but most of the scenes in this are just unnecissary... (did I spell that right?)

  • Here's what I noticed when I watched this one: He combined scenes from the original 5 Halloweens into 1, plus it wasn't even scary since they gave him a backstory. It seems like he tried to compensate for the lack of fear with extreme gore...which doesn't make it scary, just disturbing. And whats with Zombie and having pot, sex, and xtreme gore in his horror movies? He is not a good horror director

  • @Mr1BILLYBILLYBILLY Rob zombie is not a bad horror movie director, the devils rejects I think was a brilliant horror movie, that film had a story about the killers and I think it made it better, instead of making it 3 killers who we have no idea who they are and just killing people.

  • @purerushable Are you 12?

  • This movie was a wow for me. It was up to my expectations for it to be different. Rob Zombie's vision of Halloween is the best.
