  • You don't think hearings are cost-effective. You're entitled to your opinion. Perhaps they're not. And I don't think playing "Geraldo" and videoing silent people walking away is particularly useful. It's difference of opinion -- and objectives -- that makes horseraces. Nevertheless, I also don't think repeatedly publicly denigrating others' non-aggressive good-faith efforts is productive. Or honorable. Or polite. Particularly while freely availing oneself of the product of those efforts.

  • If one can't stomach the tedium of sitting through entire hearings, that's fine. But without occasionally spending the time recording full hearings, we don't have a cop admitting he'd have to think about reinstating alcohol prohibition. Or a Marine calling out the House over 2nd Amendment rights. Or Ian testifying for "organized crime." Or a contemptuous fed functionary belittling the NH legislature. And that's just from MY footage. We could all do it the same way, but we're not all the same.

  • So tell me: who serves the "few dozen?" It seems a common thread that unfortunately all too commonly needs repeating: Do what you want to do for your own objectives. And unless they're harming someone, if you disapprove, just STFU about what others are doing. peace out

  • Bill you're completely misunderstanding this commentary. I"m not questioning the *videotaping* of hearings. I'm questioning the efficiency of *testimony * at hearings.

I think it's great you're filming the hearings.

  • "because hes a huge troll"

    -Says the nazi.

  • They should welcome their constituents and should love speaking to the public about how wonderful they are standing up for the American people! Hum... what's to hide? They serve the PUBLIC! True, everyone everywhere should be doing this, as I get better able-bodied, I hope I can in my community. Got to keep them honest and on their toes! :0) lol Have a good one!

  • LOL - guess that didn't pan out as planned did it?

  • poolman is welcome here.

  • lol, gratuTiTous public domain beauty at thend, creative.

  • Why ban him? I thought libertarians were supposed to be champions of free speech. Yet here you are calling for censorship of him because you disagree with what he has to say?

  • I'm not against banning him. ofitsownwieght does not speak for me.

  • wow. I was tired this morning. I'm against banning poolman or anyone for that manner.

  • true! good video!

  • "Quaalude quorum". Very appropriate.

  • @12GaugeLosAngeles

I'm curious as to what makes you say that?

can you point to one video where he says anything racist???

I voted for Obama, but then I realized the truth.

That is, BOTH the Republicans and the Democrats are influenced and bought and paid for by the same forces.

I know a lot of people don't want to accept that fact because it's depressing, but unfortunately its true.

I don't watch FOX news, I rarely watch any TV news at all anymore, unless its about auditing the fed reserve

  • gratuitous public domain beauty on Ridley Report For The Win!

  • So without that "I'm audio taping" sign, some politicians actually will believe you're just taping them without sound?? Or does the law require a disclaimer like that?

  • The law is ambiguous and the enforcers are itching to throw you in a cage.

  • "Even a small minority would be enough."

Er, not only is that redundant, but there will never be a majority of free staters.

  • @p00lman

    that's YOUR opinion.

it does not mean that it could never happen, just because you say so.

  • What happens if Free Staters become the majority?

By definition being a Free Stater does not preclude becoming a majority.

  • And not only that - but big supporters of the FSP are even labeling it. Ian Freeman left a comment on facebook that the FSP is a "bureaucratic bus". Of course I left that on the FSP youtube page....but they censor comments - they don't like dissenting opinions/facts. What a joke.

  • organizations of people often make mistakes, it's up to us to shape it in the ways we need.

  • "Walk up to the authoritarians."

    Freudian slip?

  • The problem with hearings is that the people running them can make up ALL THE RULES for what can and can be said or what doesn't have to be said. So the officials and politicians can lie out the ass if it's allowed.

  • Dave, you rock! Keep it up!

  • I love the ambush interviews! Nothing like shining the light on the cockroaches!!

  • Grumpy Grandpa Dave the freedom czar gives the libertarian troglodyte foot soldiers their inspiration, motivation, and marching orders (all in less than 5 minutes)!

A much needed and well placed kick in the ass for these gun totin', pot smokin', ayn rand quotin' liberty storm troopers!

Keep up the good work Dave.

  • Blah blah blah blah.

  • zzzzzz
