  • what rod and reel do u use forswimbait fishing

  • omg. man, im about to throw up! Nice catch man. What is the ROF on your huddleston?

  • Very nice catch...but yeah, poor camera work. Fun to watch though!

  • Get a hat cam

  • lake looks beautiful, and nice fish too.

  • thumbs up if 5 minutes and 52 seconds of that song mad you wanna kill yourself. nice fish though

  • damn dizzy!

  • get a tripod

  • nice catch! i think if the music wasnt playing i woulda stopped watching haha jk great catch

  • I'm havin a seizure from the camera. An eight pound bass here is a fish of a lifetime.

  • 1. what boat and model do you have

    2. what swimbaits do you like

  • 1.I had a triton tr-21 with a 225hp rude on it now I have a Ranger z22 with a 250hp verado and just love the 4 stroke!

    2. my top swimbait is a Bass trix 5 inch shad for clear lake. just cast near tullie edges and points. I like the rainbow hudd in lakes that stock trout and I also like the river 2 sea bottom walker in ghost

  • I think your rod might have been a little too soft of a action? lol

  • is that pardee

  • @Bass1ism yes!!! lake is a serious swimbait sleeper, give it a go first week in June around island tops

  • Nice to just be out on the lake isnt it? When I have time, I will bust out the old swimbait rod and chunk a few out there. Thats a nice fish you got there. Have you tried swimbaits on the delta? I got my biggest bass out there. Mid double digits and she spawned out. In any case, good luck and have fun.

  • @meshhat2 hey u need to get the 4 inch BBZ-1 its a shad and its provin to be the most realistic swimbait there is

  • The bass in California get so fucking huge. why?

  • @dad325 because they eat trouts thats bigger then the normal shad/minnow

  • Good job! The swimbait bite must of really been on that day. Hudds are great baits but you got to fish them real sloooow!!! And ya bro get a tripod! lol

  • what type of rod and reel r u useing and what bait.

  • hey thanx great tutorial. nice bass. where to you get hutlson baits and how much do they usually run? Thanx keep it up

  • I like tacklewarehouse the website they have everything at good prices also check ebay, you might be able to get them cheaper there the swimbait is called a huddleston rainbow trout

  • Cool video man, i fish pardee with swimbaits all the time.

  • i like to use home made swimbaits.

  • berryessa? collins? clear?

  • hi matt, i lived in n. calli all my life never seen a lake sunshine???? what lake are you fishing, please let me know thank you.

  • @gitanoguitar lake mead?

  • ok ok ok it's Pardee

  • use a hat cam just make em its easy!

  • how much do they run for the lures

  • so easy a caveman could do it. nice rod

  • set the camera on the rear seat!

  • Nice vid, but you seriously need to get a mount for the cam..lol

  • have done that in the past and have almost lost(killed) a couple monsters doing that, they just ingulf the bait and that stinger gets too deep sometimes, gets scarey trying to save the big fish, really the top hook is all you need.

  • is that lake sonoma , i need some good advice on that lake, i fished that lake many times and I can not catch shit

  • Yea, sonoma can be tough. Im going to be doing some volunteer work at the hatchery there this year and fishing it more. Ill let you know if i get on any patterns

  • what kind of swimbait was that??? how much does it cost?

  • He mentioned it was a Huddleston a couple of times. They used to cost a grip when they first came out, now I'd say around $25 or so.

  • what lake was this???

  • At the end of the vid, it says Lake Sunrise.

I thought it was Pardee. Looks just like it.

  • are you sponsored or do you buy all that equipment on your own?

  • mostly buy my own, only one sponser right now

  • hey have you caught anything at the lagoon?

  • yes, the lagoon is just loaded with huge Bass, electric motor only so it gets overlooked but I know a Hudd will work really well there early in the mornings FEB-March just cast parrell to the banks, and don't give up, you will get a nice one.

  • isnt that a castaic sbt??

  • Looks like it.

  • yeah..lol they are similar.i ordered a castaic catch 22

  • yea man thx...keep it up with the swim bait..i love fishing swimbait but like u said youll catch less fish..so i get tire and switch to a plastic or sumthing else...thx alot

  • how did you do, the small pond at Castiac is loaded with huge Bass.

  • hey jus wondering...when using a swimbait and catch a fish is it gaurntee big fish???

  • Not really, I think your odds go way up but I have caught 3lbrs on swimbaits. remember, you will catch less fish but chances are, they will be bigger.

  • what type of line do u use

  • I use P-line Halo 15-20 lb flouracarbon but use a 8' glass rod with a light action tip so the rod is flexable and this allows the fish to swallow the bait, you need to wait a second after the bite before you set the hook. I like the strength better than mono plus it is invisible just about in these Clear lakes up in No-Cal.

  • Get a swimbait rod! Way better than a glass rod!

  • I got those too, I just like this set up I have, it is working real well for me right now. it is actually a old short fenwick steelhead rod I have had for many years. Man, with that tip and that long handle, I can flip that Hudd a country mile with it, way farther then my big powell graphite swim bait rod so that is making the difference right now for me.

  • Nice. Its easier to throw them a swimbait rod though!

  • Steelhead rod, knew that tip looked kind of soft on the retrieve. Look at that hookset, great work

  • yes, old fenwick fiberglass rod you can cast a country mile with them plus the tip allows for a natural feel once the fish grabs it, plenty of power to slam it home.

  • tape the camera on the backseat and let it show you the whole view of yourself, the bait, front of the boat, etc. The shakey first person, from the view of the reel is not cutting it.

  • Nice video! You ever fish up at clearlake?KILLLLLER swimbait lake!Keep them coming!

  • Thanks!

  • I am heading to Clear Lake this coming weekend. I will post a video for sure

  • Me too!You got a backseat?

  • matt, im sea sick due to the cameras all over the place. keep the vid.'s comming but get a friend to do the tapping.

    and nice bass.

    CA is the best.

  • great vid man
