1:00 to 1:10. You actually don't need to use a mushroom to use that shortcut. If you continue to drift into that ramp, you'll actually be able to make it without any help.

By the way, online there's usually someone who chooses Maka Wuhu and/or doing the glitch. Hardcore competitors usually use exploits, and if they are hard and you can't do them then those who can do them should deserve the advantage anyways (just one way around the blue shell helping less skilled people win) but it's an easy shortcut anyways.

If you fall in the sand right before the fence near the finish line, you may get placed closer to it faster than reaching it normally (Lakitu glitches).

Bullshit. Hardcore competitors only use the legit shortcuts that were put in the game. They don't use glitches to have to win. People who use glitches such as the Maka Wuhu shortcut deserve to have their 3DS banned from ever playing online again.

Tell that to the people on Wii who have 9000+ VR, have Funky Kong in Flame Runner or Daisy in Mach Bike, and use these shortcuts on Grumble Volcano, Bowser Castle etc.

Also those insanely good Japanese players jumping part of the track on Sky Garden in MKDS whenever they can, sometimes staying out of first until they get a mushroom to do this.

Snaking is also an exploit, and most people who snake well are godlike.

Fair, but many missed; the rooftop on shy guy bazaar is not a shortcut, it's faster to stay low in the tunnel under it. The end in DK Jungle is not a shortcut either.

You missed the ramps in SNES rainbow road, Mario circuits, and Kalimari Desert, DK Jungle, jumping the final turn in the 3DS rainbow road, MANY cutting through grasses like in Maka Wuhu, Wuhu loop,the Mud in Wario's Shipyard, sand in Shy Guy Bazaar on last turn, gliding past the finish line in rock rock mountain and over the turn.

This game looks so cheap. I mean by looking at it you just have to drive the kart in a straight line and it will go at a good speed, where as in mkw you have to snake. Play MKW in a kart and drive in a straight line for a while without snaking (you'll go slow as shit) or snake from side to side (you will get mini turbos ie go faster) MK7 doesn't have snaking from what I have seen so it's fuckall like MKW. It's a hand held game, seriously com on it's for 13 years and under. If you play this over that age then idk.

@L1BRA93 I think you are talking about MKDS, in that game you can actually snake to build up mini turbos, just like you just said, but in MKWii, you can only do that by drifting on a pronounced curve to do that, anyways, you can snake in this game on straight lines, but it will not be really effective, while using motorbikes in MKWii, in order to go faster on straight lines, you had to lift the front part of the bike to get an constant speed boost, that's the only thing I remember about it.

On the subject of the Maka Wuhu exploit...

"Don't do it online" is no longer good advice. You will lose 99% of races on that track because out of possibly 8 people, someone will do it, and they will have a near-insurmountable advantage.

With something like this, everyone must use it to return the course to fair standing.
