I am teaching myself counterpoint directly out of Fux, and I want to thank you for a lucid presentation. Counterpoint has, for me, been the single demystifying study.
I also believe Fux is ideal for an online class. The rule set is tiny, it is mostly weighted recommendations. You have to decide your own weights through practice. And it takes a lot of practice. Taking self-study for granted first, THEN the one thing I wanted was advice and guidance from someone who knew the practice.
